Did you know that the United States, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, created concentration camps for Japanese Americans?

Did you know that these Japanese Americans volunteered for the U.S. Army during the war?

Have you heard the untold story of WWII that changed the course of history?

In this episode, John Suzuki talks about the current landscape of racism, politics, and the stigmas surrounding certain groups of people. He talks about the categories that people have been put into for years and how to break free.

John Suzuki is the author of the new book, American Grit, which is about the heroes from Japanese American concentration camps of World War II. He is also the host of the Finding Better podcast. He created his book and podcast to educate and inspire folks to help them achieve the “better” they want in their lives, by sharing real life experiences and wisdom so folks can apply that wisdom to their own lives.

John has been happily married for 38 years, has two kids, 2.5 grandkids and believes we all
have three careers; to learn, earn, and return. Having retired in 2022 after 40 years in high tech
in 2022, John is now squarely in his third career of returning and giving back. He is a retired
paraglider pilot, an avid tuna fisherman, enjoys travel, is a 5-Dan in Shotokan Karate, and loves
to inspire people and learn new things.
