Welcome back to another episode of the Hustle and Flowchart Podcast! Today, I have the pleasure of hosting Dr. Lise Janelle, a renowned life transformation coach who specializes in helping professionals eliminate subconscious blocks that impede their success. This episode dives deep into the realm of personal achievement, shedding light on how subconscious beliefs shaped by past experiences can significantly influence our current success and happiness.

Understanding Subconscious Blocks

Dr. Lise Janelle opened up our discussion by explaining how subconscious blocks are often rooted in our early childhood experiences and how they can dictate both our failures and our achievements. She shared the story of an Olympic skier who struggled to win despite intensive training. This athlete’s deep-seated belief, stemming from childhood, that they did not deserve success was sabotaging their efforts. Dr. Janelle’s technique, the Heart Freedom Method, has helped individuals like this skier overcome such blocks and achieve unprecedented breakthroughs.

Overview of the Heart Freedom Method

We delved into Dr. Janelle’s Heart Freedom Method, a transformative approach that incorporates Neuro Emotional Technique and the teachings of John Demartini. This method emphasizes identifying subconscious beliefs and replacing them with gratitude and a heightened sense of self-worth, leading to improvements in relationships, finances, and overall career trajectories. It’s a method focused on aligning your inner truths with your heart's deepest desires, fostering a phenomenal transformation in all facets of life.

The Role of Gratitude in Personal Growth

A significant part of our conversation centered on how gratitude amplifies self-worth, which plays a critical role in unlocking potential and fostering success. Dr. Janelle emphasized that gratitude is not just about being thankful for the good things but also appreciating the challenges and learning from them. This mindset shift is pivotal for genuine growth and happiness.

The Impact of Childhood Experiences on Self-Worth

Understanding the link between early emotional experiences and self-worth was another critical topic. Dr. Janelle explained how the absence of emotional support in childhood could make recognizing our value and acknowledging our own desires more challenging as adults. This understanding is crucial for anyone struggling to achieve their goals, as it highlights the need for a compassionate self-review of one's past to align better with one's future aspirations.

The Stages of Human Development

Dr. Janelle outlined two main stages of human development: the unconscious state driven by external validation and the conscious state driven by internal beliefs. Transitioning from the unconscious to the conscious state involves acknowledging and letting go of those ingrained beliefs that no longer serve us. This transition is imperative for anyone looking to live a more authentic and fulfilled life.

Facing Life's Challenges and Transformations

We talked about the importance of facing life's challenges head-on and using them as stepping stones to achieve greater success. Dr. Janelle shared personal anecdotes, including facing her father’s terminal illness and learning from the rollercoaster lives of Hollywood stars. These stories highlight the importance of resilience and finding inner peace amidst life's extremes.

Finding Your Purpose and Understanding Personal Goals

Finally, understanding and connecting with one’s purpose emerged as a theme. Dr. Janelle advocates for taking time to explore and understand where one is heading in life. This clarity, coupled with a connection to one's heart's desires, is the ultimate formula for achieving not only success but also true happiness and fulfillment.

Why am I in the game?
Should I change things up?
I'm not where I want to be.
Well, Then my guest today is Dr.
Lise Janelle and she basicallyclaims and I would agree.
And the stats are in to saythe same is about 90 to 95%

(02:18):
of your actions are drivenby the subconscious stuff.
That's going inside of yougoing on inside of you.
A lot of that, some childhoodstuff that you probably are
not aware of, or maybe you are.
And that's a great thing ifyou are, but just think of all
those, those things that arehappening internally, and I'm
not talking this isn't woo.
This.
Literally the stuff that hasyou act without really thinking.

(02:40):
And a lot of this stuff shows up.
I mean, it shows up everywherein your life, but think about how
it's doing in your business andalso how it carries everywhere
else outside of business.
That's what we talk about with Dr.
Lease.
And it's, it's very insightfulbecause she has a whole method.
She'll break down how to tapinto more of your intuition and
start to quiet and listen towhat you really want, because

(03:01):
that's the heart of everything.
That's how your actions start.
So it's time to clear all those.
Subconscious blockages and barriersthat you have least Janelle
is going to do that for you.
So I'm going to turnit over to the doctor.
Here we go.
All right, Dr.
Lise, it's so greatto have you here.
And, uh, I mean, I'm, I'm veryexcited personally, cause this is

(03:21):
the work that you do on with drivenprofessionals, entrepreneurs to bust
through these things that I thinka lot of us don't realize we're
doing, or maybe self sabotaging, you know, there's these deeper
levels that we're not aware of.
Um, that's what youspecialize in for so long.
So
I'm happy you're here.
Thank
thank you for having me, Joe.
It's fun.
I love talking about this.

(03:43):
Because a lot of people, I find, especially with entrepreneurs,
because usually entrepreneurs, like, are driven people and they
have willpower and they followthe recipe and then they get so
frustrated because they can't getthe response that they should be
getting by following the recipe.
And then after a while, you know, they try once, twice, three times,

(04:04):
the kind of thing, and maybe I'mnot meant to have what I want.
No.
If you're following the recipeand you're doing all the right
action, if you're not getting theresults you want, it's because
subconsciously, I'm going to usemy famous yin yang, subconsciously
you have associated more painthan pleasure, more danger than
safety, to something you want.

(04:26):
So the key to this is tofind out and dissolve the
subconscious block and Ta da!
It opens a brand new world to you.
Oh, man.
Okay.
So I know we're all walkingaround with these, our
individual subconscious blocks, and you know, we can talk

(04:47):
about where they come from.
I'm sure it's a lot of childhoodstuff and things we're not
aware of situations, but atthe end of the day, it's.
Yeah.
Driven a lot of folkswho are listening.
And this is where I feellike I attract are the
driven, uh, professionalsare driven people in general.
A lot of them are, havea business of their own.
And you're right.
It's like as a driven, Iknow I can relate to this

(05:09):
is it's all or nothing.
Sometimes it's like the success.
I did that, but also the failures, which can really hurt and then take
us out of the game, you know, andnot fulfill the mission or whatever
that impact is that we want.
Just to give you an example ofhow extreme this can be, the
subconscious mind, like, I hadan Olympic level Canadian skier.

(05:31):
So, Canadian skiers, they don't make a lot of
money.
So, if they, the only reasonwhy they do this is because
obviously they should want to win.
Like, you train every day,you don't want a social
life, you make no money.
Obviously, if you're doing this,it should be because consciously

(05:53):
and subconsciously you want to win.
She came to see me because shehad not placed in two years.
So, when I did the work thatI do, the subconscious work, I
tested her on, I want to win.
And lo and behold, wediscovered that subconsciously,
she did not want to win.
Why?
Because when she was seven yearsold, she was already winning more

(06:17):
than her brother so her mom wouldhide her medals and her trophies not
to make her siblings feel poorly.
So like a shame almost, or a
Yeah.
a guilt.
Exactly.
Exactly.
So, as an adult, yourteammates feel like siblings.
The Pavlovian bell rings.
And then, like she says, Ihad an interview with her, you
know, you lean back too muchor you don't take that curve,

(06:39):
and like, a thousandth of asecond can make you win or lose.
So, anyway, I work with her,and we had two sessions, and
she ended up on the podium, andher ranking ended up going much
higher afterwards, just becauseof doing this kind of work.
So it doesn't have to take 10,000 years to free yourself,
like, you can get rid ofthese beliefs very quickly.

(07:03):
Really?
Wow.
So I get it.
Well, first of all, I'll giveyou a shout out because I
met you through Mike Koenigs.
I think it was one of the trainingswe were doing and you know, I'm
working closely with Mike on alot of the AI stuff we're building
out and helping business ownersand that's where I realized,
Oh yeah, you've, you've workedwith Mike, uh, he did a whole
podcast with him and you know,I trust and love that guy and.

(07:25):
He was saying somethingsimilar is like there were
these immediate breakthroughs.
You're able to, Iguess, identify first.
And then there's a process that,um, that was at the heart freedom
method, I believe, and maybethere's more there, but tell me
a little bit about, um, You know, the bigger picture here, I think,
is what we're establishing isbreaking through these barriers.

(07:47):
And so I want to talk aboutyou of course, and how you even
got to this, to even start toidentify and figure out how to
bust through these, but also themethod, you know, diving into that.
my background, I'm a chiropractor.
I was a holisticchiropractor for 22 years.
And I used to see on average like8, 000 patient visits a year.

(08:07):
So I was pretty busyas a chiropractor.
And in the beginning of my career,I got frustrated because I could
have 10 people with similar stories.
8 of them would get better, and 2 of them would get worse.
If I did the regular adjustmentstuff, it was not going away.
So it sent me on a quest tofind methods that I could use

(08:30):
that would make a difference.
And I ended up meeting Dr.
Scott Walker, and I learned NET,Neuro Emotional Technique, and I
was able to, you know, learninghow to find and dissolve the,
the stories, the conditionedresponse that I was stuck in the
physiology, I was able to havemy chiropractic patients, but I

(08:54):
also started helping my patientsbecause they were blocked, they
were unhappy, so I started usingthe method to make them happier.
And I realized after a whilelike what I really love to do is
help people live amazing lives.
Like, I love helping people get outof pain, but like when I see the
sparkles in people's eyes becausethey know they're about to get

(09:16):
what they would love out of life, like, I get goosebumps from that.
Like, truly.
I would do it for free justbecause I just love it so much.
So since 1989, I've beendoing this kind of work.
And now in 2024, I stilllove it every time I do it.
So I met Scott Walker, but thenalso I met another character,
his name is John Demartini,

(09:38):
I know he's been on the
he's been on the show.
So John talks aboutthe power of gratitude.
So I ended up creating amethod, my own method, that
combines principles of both.
And every time someone does themethod, they clear their physiology
from the conditioned response.
But also my aim, each timeyou do it, is to let go of a

(10:01):
story that has been holdingyour, yourself back down, that
decreased your self worth.
Because it's instantaneous.
As soon as you get gratitude, you increase your self worth.
And when you increase yourself worth, that gets reflected
in everything in your life.
It gets reflected in yourrelationship, in your
finances, in your career.

(10:21):
Different opportunities happenwhen you increase your self worth.
Because otherwise, you say thewrong thing at the perfect time,
or the right thing at the wrongtime, and things don't seem to
click, and you always wonder why.
Well,
that's why.
Yes, exactly.
Inner resistance.
It's exhausting.
Wow.
That, that makes a lotof sense and gratitude.

(10:43):
Cause I do remember that, uh, Dr.
John Demartini talking about thatis, is that overwhelming gratitude
and how that it reverberates inso many, in all aspects of life.
It's however we.
It's really up to us.
It's a choice.
And maybe we go around, go deeperon that a little bit because you
know, and how you layer that inwith your method, of course, of

(11:04):
how that relates to self worth.
And what I keep, what keep comesto mind here are the stories that
we tell ourselves that we're awareof, or we're not aware of, but
we're, we're doing it nonetheless.
what you said there is key.
Because there are thestories we are aware of.
And then there are thestudies we're not aware of.
And people don't realize that 90to 95 percent of what we do is

(11:28):
actually pre programmed in ourconscious, subconscious mind.
So we think we're in chargeof the show, but in fact we're
just in reaction all the time.
And from working with thousandsof people, literally thousands of
people one on one, Like I started tosee patterns, you know, if you don't

(11:50):
see patterns, you're a bit thicc.
Just like you're really good withAI, after a while you say, okay,
this is going to lead to this, this is going to lead to this.
So it's the same thing for me.
And I created what I call the mapof the spiritual human potential.
And the way I see it, there aretwo stages to human development.

(12:11):
Stage 1 is the unconscious, asleep and fentile stage.
Everybody gets through that one.
And then stage 2 is theconscious, awake and mature state.
The main difference betweenstage 2 is in stage 1, you get
your sense of self from theway the world reacts to you.
So when the world reacts to youin a way you like, you feel like,

(12:34):
I'm amazing, I'm king of theworld, I'm queen of the world,
I can have anything I want.
But when the world does notreact to you the same way,
You start creating stories.
What's wrong with me?
I can't get what I want.
So this is super important.
You won't create whatyou want in life.

(12:54):
You're going to createwhat you believe.
You won't create whatyou want in life.
You're going to createwhat you believe.
So even though you're anentrepreneur, you're driven,
you want to make things happen.
If subconsciously you believe thatyou're not deserving of having this,
you'll always hit the black pole.

(13:15):
And you will staystuck at that plateau.
So when people say, Oh no, I knowI'm worthy, like, Oh no, sure.
Consciously, you know that, but subconsciously you're
not always buying into it.
Because relatively speaking, yourconscious mind, just like, you know,
the Olympic level skier is the sizeof a football that wants to succeed.

(13:40):
But your subconscious mind, which is not the enemy, it's
actually there to help you.
keep you alive.
Because our subconscious mindis constantly computing, this is
good for me, this is dangerousfor me, this is good for me,
this is dangerous for me.
So it's constantly computingto see what's going on.
So you have stored this belief that

(14:04):
when people come to see me andthey sit there and like, you
know, prove me wrong and it'slike, ah, and especially like,
let's say you're someone whocan make 10 million dollars or
you go, no, I don't need this.
I know I'm good.
Well, what if your potentialinstead was a hundred
million dollars a year?
There you go.
Yes.
because of these stories thatwe create in the unconscious

(14:26):
phase of life, we, we allend up hitting a ceiling
where you can't break through.
And if it's not going to be in yourbusiness, it's going to be in your
love life that's going to suck,or your health is going to suck.
There is something that's goingto happen that sabotages you.

(14:47):
such a fun journeyto go on the journey.
Well, it's, it's a neverending journey, right?
I would imagine.
Um, Earlier stages being more ofthese ceilings that we might be
hitting, and I'm assuming, andtotally correct me, is that, you
know, when we become more aware ofwhat our subconscious is thinking,
maybe some of these patterns withour speech internally or even

(15:11):
externally, what we put out into theworld, which starts internally, of
course, then, um, hopefully, we canstart to identify what our ceilings
are a little easier, and it gets
my clients who work with me for awhile, they come to see me and go,
Oh, Liz, you know, I say I'm goingto do this, but this always happens.
So there are three cluesthat you have a subconscious

(15:32):
belief working against you.
Number one, you know what needs tobe done, but you're not doing it.
You just know that if youpicked up the phone to call
this potential client, yourwhole career would change.
But all of a sudden you needto clean the windows, eat
a bag of cookies instead.
You'll do

(15:52):
Wait, wait, otherpeople do that too?
Not just me?
Okay, yeah,
So it's not because you're lazy.
It's not because you lackwillpower and these things happen.
Again, it's because subconsciouslyit's more dangerous for you
to do this than not to do it.
And like, just like, you know,my Olympic level skier, she was
holding herself back not to win.

(16:14):
And you'd be amazed.
Like I was, I was the keynotespeaker at a coaching convention
in Chicago, and there were like350 coaches from everywhere.
And I told a story about, you know, checking your subconscious mind.
And I said, if you want, aftermy talk, you can come and
see me and I'll check you on.

(16:35):
I'm already willing andable to be successful.
For I had, I had atleast 100 coaches.
So coaches should be allabout, you know, success.
You would think so.
Ideally.
Yeah.
you hope so.
Out of the hundred, therewas only one coach that
was okay being successful.
All the other one had associated.

(16:57):
Most people have a fear ofbeing successful because either
they're going to be, people aregoing to be jealous of them.
They're going toleave friends behind.
They're going to anotherbig one, especially for
men towards their father.
It's not cool to make moremoney than my father, because
I don't want to make himfeel poorly about himself.

(17:18):
And you know, it's like, it's likein a family, it's like a wolf clan.
You know, you have the alphawolf and the beta wolf.
And what happens if theBeta Wolf starts to be more
powerful than the Alpha?
It destroys the whole clan.
So, at some level, Ibelieve, that's my theory.
Who's gonna prove it or disprove it?
I don't know.
But, I find that patternquite often that, especially

(17:42):
the male, uh, child, does notwant to overshadow the father.
Especially if they love the father.
They, you know, they will dothings, they will get almost there,
and then something is going tohappen that's going to destroy it.
Actually, a good thing issometimes when the male child

(18:04):
is really resentful of thefather, it drives the anger just
to be so successful to, to beat andsay, see, see, I'm better than you.
Actually, when I read LanceArmstrong's biography, you know, his
cycling career, I'm pretty sure likehe was really angry with his father.

(18:24):
But, oh, like, here's this guy whoended up on the world stage to.
You know, Talia's father,
you
Yeah.
I did it.
Look at
me.
Yeah.
exactly, see what you missed on.
So it's, it's, it's fascinatingbecause you can use like
stage one, uh, everybody hasto go through stage one, but

(18:46):
it's a, a reactionary stage.
But if you start to look ateverything that's ever happened to
you as happening for you, instead ofto you, then you can have gratitude.
from working with all thousands ofpeople, I, I created analogies that
they are, I call that the bootcamp.

(19:07):
So stage one is your bootcamp,
Hmm.
and there are threetypes of bootcamp.
Some people are borninto a musical bootcamp.
Life was easy, nottoo many challenges.
The price to pay though is thatyou're not equipped for real life.
So when you graduate fromthat bootcamp, you face
different challenges.
Then some people were borninto an athletic, so they

(19:31):
get supported and challenged.
It's a good bootcampto be born into.
You still get, you know, theoccasion to create stories about
your worth because sometimes theworld doesn't give you what you
want and you're not conscious yet.
So you make it about your worth.
You've had was worthy.
This one that happenedto me, that's not true.
Like I do public speaking andI teach seminars and I've,

(19:55):
I've asked at least a thousandpeople, raise your hand if
you never had huge challenges.
And so far, I only hadone person, it was a young
girl, and she goes, Me!
And I'm scared, I don't knowwhat's gonna happen when
something happens to me andI have to face a challenge.
So, if you're a smart humanbeing, what you're going

(20:15):
to do is you're not goingto try to avoid challenges.
You're going to learn touse them to your advantage.
That's how you can becomegrateful for everything.
Because also, when we gettoo much support, that's
also just as dangerous.
Why?
Because, oh, it's so nice here.
I want to stay in bed, my partneris so nice and cozy, like I don't

(20:40):
want to go, you know, I don't wantto challenge myself today, so that's
why it's important to be conscious.
Okay, so that's the second bootcamp.
And then there's the third bootcamp.
And those are my, my favoriteclients, actually the graduate
from the Navy SEAL bootcamp.
Ah, uh huh.
If you manage to survive hell week,

(21:02):
you're a superhero.
The only problem with the NavySEAL bootcamp is you've had so
many opportunity to be knockedout so hard that you end up
creating a story subconsciously.
That something must be wrong withyou for having had this experience.
And this is where you endup hitting the ceiling.

(21:22):
So, even though these people aresuper driven and capable, Because
the bootcamp they graduated fromcan make them super successful.
Until they let go ofthe subconscious belief,
they're in trouble.
They will always hit a ceiling.
And that's when they getthemselves in trouble.
So, basically, in stage 1, what endsup happening is you end up running

(21:46):
away from pain towards pleasure, constantly trying to compensate.
But if you take a momentyourself, Joe, and look back
at your life, you will see.
That all these things that youexperience in your life, like,
especially sibling stories, like, let's say your sibling is really
good at sport, and you're notso good, then you might become

(22:07):
a computer genius, you know?
You're gonna find a way to, youknow, find your place, you're gonna
be driven in different ways, soyou can see how everything that's
happened in your life, If youbecome grateful for it, now you
can leave stage one for stage two.
before going to stage two, the, the gratefulness, I think

(22:28):
that's a part where, um, youknow, consciously, I don't know.
Is it like a forcing ofthings just to start it off?
Like to get that it's almost like arepetition, like a muscle to work.
Or is there a
because you can't doit through your head.
It's not going to work.
It
correct.
to be in the heart.
That's why I call it theheart freedom method.
I know it might sound woo woo, andyou know, some people think, oh,

(22:52):
the heart, that's, no, like I'vehad people who are Mensa, you know,
super like I, one of my friendsbefore he met me, he, He was Mensa,
he was a top lawyer in Canada, andhe ended up losing his partner at
the same time as he lost the case.
And because he thought he couldovercome everything with his mind,

(23:15):
when something so big happened tohim emotionally, he collapsed for
eight years and was unable to work.
Eight
a brilliant mind is actually anivory tower that's not so powerful.
You're recognized insociety if you're smart.
But it's not the best place to hide.

(23:37):
At some point, something is goingto happen, and you're going to
crash, and as high as you are inyour brain, then you're going to
go into your gut, your emotions.
So the perfect powerpoint is in the heart.
. Hey I'm going to pause the episode really fast and shoutout

That is hustle and flowchart.com/k a R T R a.
usually people will shiftfrom stage one to stage

(25:23):
two through a challenge.
This is how you can becomegrateful for everything
that's happened in your life.
So like, it's like for me, in 1988.
My father was diagnosedwith terminal cancer.
He was given nine months to live.
That was three weeksbefore my sister's wedding.
One week after my sister'swedding, my 21 year old

(25:43):
brother died in a car accident.
And then from within amonth of this, my eight year
relationship to the man I thoughtI was going to marry ended.
And it was like, Ow, ow,
ow.
So to survive this boot camp, I wenton a quest to understand how do you

(26:04):
live life when these things happen?
It's not if they're gonnahappen, they will happen.
Sorry folks, if you think youcan't go through life without huge
challenges, it doesn't happen.
But once you connect inside andyou start using some of these
principles I'm talking about, Youcan face tremendous challenges.

(26:25):
So usually people come to see mebecause their career is frustrating.
Their finance is frustrating.
Their health is frustrating.
They lost their, theirspouse, somebody they love
died and they can't cope.
So that's often theblessing of the challenges.
Like me, this is what happened.
Without it, I wouldn't be sittingin front of you right now.

(26:47):
And if you're lucky, you listenlike to a podcast like this one,
And instead you get inspired, you go, oh, I want that.
So you have the choice
to get out of
But you see what's possible, right?
Everything is
seeing is believing to
So you have a choice of getting outof stage one, either because you
got to, because it's too painfulor because you go, you know what?

(27:09):
That sounds pretty good.
I want to learn howto live in stage two.
Got it.
A choice.
Yeah.
stage, stage two.
So the difference between stageone is you get your sense of
self from the way the worldreacts to you, and it's like.
This is the cosmic joke that'splayed on us, because as soon
as you're born, and I hear youjust have a brand new baby,
as soon as you're born, lovehas to come from the outside.

(27:33):
And if it doesn'tcome, you're gonna die.
So we get used to looking tothe outside and manipulate the
outside to get what we want.
So when the world is too busy forus and we're not getting what we
want, We're in constant reaction.
That's why stage oneis super important.
It's a bootcamp.
It's important.

(27:54):
But in stage two, what you doinstead is you use inspiration.
So in stage one, you run awayfrom pain towards pleasure.
So it's basically fear is your fuel, but in stage two, you use this.
So I love the yin and the yangbecause for me, it's a great

(28:15):
visual for guiding peoplebecause a visual engages the
mind, but it's a wise visual.
So when you're feeling emotional andyou're feeling lost, if you can pop
this visual into your mind, you canthen pull yourself out more easily.
Thank you.
So this is a visualfor success in life.

(28:37):
If you want to be successfulin life, first there's the
female principle of listening.
Your heart wants youto know two things.
The first thing your heart wants youto know is you're worthy of love.
And I explained to you.
The second thing your heart wantsyou to know, it wants you to
admit your dreams and aspirations.

(28:59):
And I can tell you from workingwith people, one of the most
common time that we damage this.
is especially if you were borna longer time than the new
generation, but when we were babies,
they would take us away frommom and put us on the nursery
and a feeding schedule.

(29:19):
So the being you've been withfor nine months that you're used
to, that you want to imagine, like even now, like if you're
scared, we like having hugs.
So now you're a little baby, youhave no idea what's happening.
And they take you away frommommy, and now you're crying.
You're crying for mommy, and you cry and cry and cry.
You cry and cry and cry andcry and cry, and nobody comes.

(29:45):
What's wrong with me?
So, you know, worthy of love, that's one of the first place
you're gonna experience that.
Yeah.
The second thing that happensis like, Uh, uh, uh, uh,
I'm crying, nobody's coming.
Oh, it's not fun, I'm gonnastop asking for what I want.
Wow.
Yeah, because I don't, I'm notgetting fulfilled on my needs.
Whatever those needs are, I'm, I'mdoing the best I can, but nothing's

(30:08):
And so, that's why peopleoften don't want to actually
know exactly what they wanted.
And clarity on what you're hereto create is super important.
Without it, what's gonna, how can you get it?
So, that's why I know, Ihave done this often enough.
I know that if we start there, ifyou start doing the work, listening

(30:32):
to your heart, and letting goof the subconscious beliefs that
are preventing you from hearingwhat your heart wants, Then it's
all about organizing your timeto give your heart what it wants.
The only difference betweensomeone who lives an ordinary
life and an extraordinary lifeis their ability to take actions.

(30:55):
So we will consciously preventourselves from taking action, but
we'll also subconsciously create.
So the, the, the game in stagetwo now is I'm going to listen
to my heart and I'm going Andthat's why it's important to
know your, your purpose in life.

(31:15):
Because when you know, this isanother visual that I like to use.
Imagine it's a mountain, you'reclimbing a mountain and the top
there is, is where you want to go.
So on your way to the top ofthe mountain, you're going to
attract support and challenges.
And now if you're wise, you learnto use both sides to your advantage.
When you get challenged, insteadof going, Oh, what's wrong with me?

(31:38):
Why is this happening?
You go, No.
How am I going to usethis to get what I want?
It becomes a totally different game.
Stage two is so much fun.
I call stage two, creating heaven on earth.
Stage one, the bootcampor hell on earth.
It's your choice.
and either way, we're allgoing through bootcamp.

(31:58):
You know, it's, it's our decision, how way we want to direct ourselves.
Right.
So the choose the choice and,you know, stage two, like you're
saying, it's, it's really listeningto our heart and knowing, or
at least embodying our purposeor whatever that North star is.
Maybe it's, you know, for,for me, I, I retook my Kolbe
just to kind of get into that.

(32:19):
And.
You know, all these things canhelp you kind of identify maybe
layers that we're unconscious toabout our superpowers more or less.
And yeah, and sitting withthat and listening internally.
And I think heart more thananything, I do a lot of breath work.
Oh, good.
this is, that's a time to take, getaway from my head and into my body.

(32:39):
And yeah, it, there's no betterway from what I at least can
control than something like that.
Like it takes five minutes.
I can like do a reset, but say an hour.
And with what you're saying, youknow, things start connecting
that logically you just can'treally find when you're in
the work or trying to force
No, he cannot findhis answer logically.

(33:01):
Because they're not logic.
Just like you have a baby right now.
Logically, having a babyis not such a fun thing.
But your heart is callingyou to have a baby.
And when you, when you're doingsomething you love, like you get
up in the middle of the night, you haven't slept, but your baby's
crying, you're going to get up.

(33:22):
Why?
Because your heart iscalling you to do this.
So if you're an entrepreneurand within you, there's a desire
to create something into theworld, you're going to be willing
to pay the price to get it.
And, and the journey, youknow, the, The corny thing
that it's not the destinythat matters, it's a journey.
It's so true, because when youlove something, it doesn't feel

(33:44):
like you're working, you'redoing it, you're doing it because
it's so important for you.
That's why most parents will tellyou that the best thing they've
ever done was to have a baby.
Is it because it's fun all the time?
Because there's no sacrifice?
No, it's full of sacrifices, but it teaches you how to love.
Like, for me, loveis not an emotion.

(34:05):
Love is our essence.
It's who we
Hmm.
And once you understand that, thenthe good news is we all have access
to it, if, if it's your essence.
So in the heart, the only thingthat lives in the heart is love,
gratitude, inspiration, and wisdom.
Love, gratitude,inspiration, and wisdom.

(34:27):
When people tell me, Oh,I don't know why I'm here.
Well, I know that if theydon't know why they're here,
then they're just stupid.
It's because sometimes theynever took the time to ask
themselves because theydidn't want to find out.
And so they don't want to bedisappointed for asking for what
they want and not be able to get it.
That's part of the story.
But the other part is when youare not grateful, because if
you're not grateful, you don'thave access to inspiration.

(34:51):
Hmm.
Yep.
they're all connected together.
When you have love and youhave gratitude, gratitude
brings you inspiration.
The only way you're gonnahave inspiration and gratitude
is if you have wisdom, sothey're all connected together.
And you will see, like, the mostbeautiful, successful people

(35:14):
I have met, they're humble.
Mm Because they're inspired, itcomes from a solid place inside
of them, they've paid the price, the things have happened to them,
and they've grown in wisdom.
Those are the most beautifulpeople that I know.
And they've done the workand that's the thing.
It's there's these layersthat get you to that point.

(35:35):
And again, it's, They've found theceiling and they've figured out some
method to get through that ceiling.
And it, maybe it seems logicalfrom the outside looking in,
but then, yeah, when you startto, cause I've had many of those
types of folks on this podcastand, and there's a lot of that
believing it just needs to happenand trusting the process, trusting

(35:56):
the journey that we're all on.
And like you said, it'slife working for you.
And, and yeah, looking back, Imean, some of the darkest times
that I've been through that have.
put me in the dumps of inactionhave also been the times where
I realized what is the thingthat fires me up internally.
Like I lost my dad unexpectedlyand then had my daughter, my first

(36:17):
daughter two weeks after that.
And that knocked me out for a lot ofreasons, you know, losing a father
and then also gaining someone newin such a short period of time.
There was a good stretch,a lot of fuzziness you
experience the twoextremes at the same time.
And it was the same thing for me.
Like I told you my story, my fatherwas diagnosed with terminal cancer.

(36:42):
He was given nine monthsto live with the, you know,
and take out some medicine.
He lived four yearswithout any pain,
but 21 year old healthy, cocky boy
should not die before a sick father.
But these events like youth, like they're extremes.

(37:03):
And they make us reallyquestion reality.
Otherwise, that's one of the thingsthat happen when life is too easy.
La la la.
We don't take the time to goinside and, and really dig into
what's going to bring me actualhappiness, actual success.
Yeah.
I've been to one of the biggestHollywood stars that you know,

(37:25):
and I can tell you, you can havemillions of fans, you can have
private jet, a chef, you know, allthe money in the world you want.
still doesn't make you happy.
It's not the, it's notthe key to happiness.
The key to happiness is to knowwho you are, why you're here,
where you're going and, andmake, create heaven on earth for

(37:48):
yourself and your loved ones.
And who
doesn't want that?
And that's, wow.
I mean, that it, it's powerfuland it's, it's a process.
It's not easy.
But at the same time, whatother choice do we have?
You know, if we want heaven on earth
here,
Like what you justsaid is so important.
How do we think we could, howcan we expect to have peace

(38:08):
on earth if we don't evenhave peace in our own heart?
If you
don't like who you are, butyou're gonna expect people who've
been killing each other forgenerations to all of a sudden,
boop, there's peace on earth.
If we can't even love ourmom and dad and siblings, How
can we have peace on earth?
It's like, it makes no sense.

(38:29):
It's illogical.
It's a dystopia.
It's not gonna happen.
It, yeah.
And in a, in a world, I mean, we'reso caught up in distractions now.
The noise is greater than ever.
Things are moving so quickly.
Um, you know, things like AIis an element, but then you
have everything else as well.

(38:50):
I mean, the ideal is to,you know, quiet some of that
through automations and things.
Maybe we don't have to be soinvolved or busy, and I think of
business and it's like busyness,like there's not, there's a lot
of busy we do in our businessesor as entrepreneurs driven people.
So it's like, how do we, howdo we start to calm that down?
Quiet the mind, get more into theheart and understand what is it

(39:14):
that we're trying to do and Like Italk about what's your enough like
figure out what is the thing that'sgonna fulfill you to where you you
you get that Joy, it's probablynot through scaling your company
to the moon, you know and stressingyourself out along the process
what you're saying is so important.
It's so true.
It's like, again, if we use theyin and the yang, often I see many

(39:36):
people who are extremely drivento make things happen, but it's
not connected to their heart.
And what ends up happeningwith these people?
They burn out.
Then you have theopposite people, right?
We know exactly what needs tobe done, but they're not taking
actions to get depressed.
So the key is really like this, like you need to connect your

(40:00):
goals to your heart, not toyour head, not for the status,
not to have the Lamborghini.
Having a Lamborghini is nice, but if you define yourself by it
and you get into a car accident, what's going to happen to you?
So, you know, it's a true success.
And, you know, somebody can be,I want to have a business and

(40:22):
I want to impact my family soI can provide for my family.
That's great.
If that's what your heartwants, it's perfect.
Some other people in theirheart, what they want is they
want to have a city impactand that's what you want.
That's great.
If it's a state or provincialimpact, you want a country, a

(40:42):
world at the same time, you needto be authentic to yourself.
Like one day I was in Mexico.
I like to go to this littleIsland called Islam or Harris.
in
the line.
there it's nice
So I used to stay inthis little hotel called
Hotel Garifona Castilla.
I just like saying the name.

(41:03):
Anyway, so I'm sittingthere, I'm lying there in bed
and then at sunrise I hearpopopopopopopopopopopopop.
And I'm watching these fishermen,I know they're going fishing,
they're gonna catch their fishand then come back around noon.
They're gonna unload their fish andthen go home and that they're done
for the day and I'm going, Man.

(41:24):
Why don't I just livelike that, you know?
Why do I have to push myself andmake all these things happen?
And then I go these, um, You dothis for three months, you'll
be bored out of your mind.
And then, I went polaropposite to the fishermen.
I went and I spent aweek with John Demartini.
And John,

(41:44):
Yeah.
back then, used to sleep likefour hours a night, and it's
like, and if you try to be doingwhat John is doing, you burn out.
So what,
Well, he's on his boat too.
Right.
So he's, he's, he's always offsomewhere getting, doing something.
couldn't, I couldn't do it,because I need time in nature,
I need time to connect with myhigher self, I need, you know,

(42:06):
breath, work, all these things, like, I need this for me.
I still, my goal is to, since 1989,I wrote a statement of purpose for
my life, and my career statementsays I'm going to help transform
the life of a million people throughconnecting them with their heart.
So every day of my life, I've been, you know, focusing on that and

(42:26):
making, you know, things happen.
But I didn't have a choice.
It's not my ego thatdecided I want to do this.
It's like, It was so deep withinmy heart that I made that, but
my, my goal is not any better thansomebody who's a carpenter who
wants to create beautiful furnitureand puts his whole heart into

(42:48):
creating his furniture, becausewhen you do that, you also impact
the world because if you havebeauty around you, you end up
impacting the people who live in it.
So we all have to learn to,to be authentic and real
to where we want to play.
And if you go too low, you'regoing to get depressed.

(43:09):
If you go too high, you'regoing to get burnt out.
And it's so easy when wehave gurus that we listen to.
I like if you spellguru, G U R U, guru.
So we all have to beinspired, yes, by people.
But the reason we're inspiredby these people is because
they are living their purpose.

(43:30):
And if we try to live theirpurpose, then we get in trouble.
So whatever level you want to playat, be proud of it, be grateful,
give it your whole heart, becausethen you have a world impact.
Yeah, I love it.
And I, I relate to that is,you know, know yourself really
well, or at least like keepworking on it because it'll

(43:52):
get clearer and clearer.
And, you know, I've done a lotof journaling, I think wrote
almost 10, 000 words going deepinto different stories of my
life, different phases and likeanswering a ton of questions
and a whole self authoring.
And, um, yeah, it's, it's, it'swild what, when you get to go
through the darkest things orthe memories that were blanked

(44:14):
out for whatever reason, theywere quieted consciously,
but subconsciously they're
they're still
You know, when the hints.
Yeah, and that's whatwas blowing my mind.
And that starts to clarifywhere you want to go.
And then you mentioned gurus orthese people, whoever you're looking
up towards, could even be someoneon Instagram traveling around.
But you start to see what, like, you believe what you see, you know,

(44:37):
and ideally it's something real.
But even at the same time, maybethere's some mind tricks you can do.
It's like now that's, you know, don't try to be them, but now see,
okay, I, I see something new, anew perspective that's possible.
How do I possibly fit into that?
Or how can I, you know, believe a little more of

(44:58):
Yeah, because often what we dois we get excited by what they're
doing because you feel thisperson is living their purpose.
And that's what attracts them, asto them, but What's your thing?
That's why it's so important.
Like I have a weekend retreat calledExtreme Freedom and we spent a whole
day creating a statement of purpose.

(45:21):
Because if you don't know whereyou're going to go, you end up
going where people want to send you.
So it's so important for youto take the time to know who
you are, where you're going.
that's it.
Well, Dr.
Lise, uh, I want to leavepeople with a perfect next step,
because I'm always thinkingof the journey and what you've

(45:41):
just given us are a lot.
It's a lot to think about, butalso a lot to, a lot to do, you
know, and be, you know, there'sthe balance, the yin and yang
of both where, where's the bestnext step to take folks in your
world, knowing that bunch ofdriven and entrepreneurs listening

impact to the world around me,however, that shape or form is.
So I'm happy that wespent some time here.
I mean, you answered so manyof these little details.
