Welcome...or should I say thank you for returning to the seemingly never ending podcasting maxi-series called Moving Kryptonian Images: The Live Action and Animated Adventures of Superman! The purpose of this series is to celebrate the release of the new Superman film, written and directed by James Gunn and starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor!
This time out Andrew Leyland of Hey Kids Comics, The Amazing Spider-Man From The Beginning, and The Overlooked Dark Knight fame joins me to talk about 2006's Superman Returns. In the interest of fairness I will warn you that our conversation is not exactly positive. This movie, the first live action Superman film in 19 years, had a huge marketing push and people, including us, were excited, but the final product was...mixed. Andy and I talk about the problems we had with the film but also the things about the film that we liked, which includes the score. We also talk about the lead-up to the movie and even the comic book tie-ins which were definitely stories told with words and images.
As previously mentioned Andy either hosts or co-hosts several other shows. These include Hey Kids Comics (which he co-hosts with his son Micheal), The Amazing Spider-Man From The Beginning (which he hosts on his own), and The Overlooked Dark Knight (which he co-hosts with me). These are all great shows, even the one with me, and you should definitely check them out.
Feedback for It All Comes Back To Superman Series 2 can be sent to itallcomesbacktosuperman@gmail.com. At the end of this series I will be doing a feedback special going through all of the emails and comments that are left or sent!
You can subscribe to the show on Apple Podcasts/iTunes or stream it through Spotify, iHeart Radio, and Audible.

The opening and closing theme to the show is titled Journey and was composed by Pontus Rufelt. It is licensed from Shockwave-Sound.
Next Time: Moving Kryptonian Images continues with Anthony Desiato, who joins me to talk about the animated film Superman: Doomsday!

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
