In this episode, Felicia talks about Corporate Wellness. After years of struggle and personal growth, Felicia learned how to be happy and feel happy. It has guided her to work smarter and utilize an online space rather than physical gyms. She now helps corporate locations have employees who understand wellness, rather than employees who think a diet is a way to live. Felicia talks about making behavioral changes vs. completely overhauling our lives. It’s not going to be comfortable, and we should be taking baby steps when it comes to lifestyle changes. We have to give ourselves more wins. The smaller wins we have, the more momentum we will build to change our lifestyles. Change your thought process to what you are going to add rather than what you are going to take away.

Later, Felicia talks about Diet Dropout. She was on diets for nine years of her life. Now, she is no longer ruled by the diet. There is no good or bad mentality; we should not attach a moral code to food. Food is food! Make sure your lifestyle is sustainable – it should change your body composition and help you feel successful. Changing our behaviors will help create those sustainable habits. There are no cheats or treats. Felicia reveals what it was like becoming a pro bodybuilder. At one point, she was the top four in the entire world. She loved it! Setting and achieving goals was addicting. However, the pressure got to Felicia, and she never got to enjoy the moments. Stay tuned as Felicia talks about being on the show Fit2Fat2Fit.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
