In this episode, Good Dee's Deana opens the show talking about her baking mixes and cookies. Deana has not always had a positive relationship with food. Back in the day, Deana was insecure and did not understand everything about nutrition. No matter how much weight she would lose, she would have a distorted image of herself. Now, Deana has a positive relationship with food; food can be for memories, it can be delicious, and it is beautiful. She no longer has the voice in the back of her head, telling her to stop talking about food. Deana doesn't look at food as bad or good; it's either delicious or not delicious.
When you first start low carb, it seems like such a huge task. Deana loves to cook, and she loves to bake. She was feeling so good without her carbs; however, she started craving chocolate chip cookies. Deana made a mix with sunflower seed flour. Her blends are gluten-free and sugar-free. Deana handwrites all of her recipes – she's very old school in that way. She tests each mix dozens of times. Later, Deana gives tips for people who are looking to start a food business. Research until you can't research anymore. She has analyzed nutritional labels and realized they were not correct. Make sure your label is accurate and do not trust the labs to do it correctly. Stay tuned for Deana's advice for women who are looking to create.

Ruthie's Table 4
For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
