(01:55):
started today. It is my realpleasure to speak with Daphne.
Michaels, Daphne, you are ahuman potential expert, Best
Selling Author and guide in therealm of ultra conscious living.
You have decades of experienceas a licenced psychotherapist
(02:16):
and a deep background inbehavioural science and
energetic healing, you arepassionate about guiding people
to elevate their consciousness, awaken their energetic potential
and live with alignment, clarityand purpose. Daphne, it's a real
pleasure to have you on the showtoday. Welcome.
Daphne Michaels (02:39):
Thank you so
much for having me pleasure to
be here, and
Agi Keramidas (02:45):
I am pronouncing
your name in probably a way that
you're not much used to it. Butas I told you, because it is a
Greek name, and I would call itrafni If it was Greek, so I'm
kind of in betweenpronunciations when I like
Daphne Michaels (03:03):
different
pronunciations, it's perfect.
That's
Agi Keramidas (03:06):
great. Daphne, I
will start straight away with
something that intrigues me,even by that short introduction
of you that I gave you speakabout Ultra conscious living.
Tell us, what does that looklike in the context of the busy
modern life that many of us, orcertainly the people listening,
(03:29):
are living?
Daphne Michaels (03:31):
Thank you for
asking that question. I think
this is a key question that eachone of us should be looking at
in terms of how we are livingour lives in ordinary reality.
We are boxed into a very smallframework, and it's generally
through the lens of our ego. AndI know that's a big concept, and
(03:55):
we can talk about that, butgenerally speaking, what that
means is that we're living inboxes that are too small for us.
There's no room for creativity.
There's no room for real, heartfelt connection to
ourselves and one another. SoUltra consciousness is an
interesting term because it wasinvented in the early 1900s and
(04:17):
this term was invented by HenryLaFontaine, who was a Nobel
Peace Prize Laureate, and PaulOtlet, who was the head of
information science. He was thefather of information science.
(04:40):
He invented the Dewey DecimalSystem in the early 1900s they
said, We want to catalogue allhuman experience. And they came
up with the term Ultraconsciousness to describe a type
of experience when people have.
Have an elevated, cosmic,instantaneous, cosmic
(05:06):
connection. And they said thissurpasses mere self awareness,
and it takes us to a connectionwith the cosmos, with the
universe. I think that isfascinating that they said that
in the early 1900s and what theysaid was that this was very
(05:29):
rare. 100 years later, it's notrare anymore. Many, many of us
are are expanding ourconsciousness to become more of
who we're meant to be. So whatit means is relearning how to be
who we really are in an expandedstate of consciousness,
(05:54):
connected to the cosmos, connected to the creativity of
life and living this out in ourdaily lives.
Agi Keramidas (06:04):
Thank you. There
is you mentioned. You said
instantaneous, cosmicconnection. I think that was the
phrase that you used, and alsoexpanding our consciousness. My
question is, for I understandthe description. I mean, I get
(06:27):
it, especially when you said theterm instantaneous, cosmic
connection, in my mind, thephrase spiritual awakening, or
some kind of, you know, evolution of the spiritual path
came to my mind. My question is,how does one, let's say, walk
(06:51):
that path, if they are notthere, how can one start
directing to that? You know, expansion of the consciousness,
as you said.
Daphne Michaels (07:06):
So I think
that's a really good point. In
the early 1900s when the termfirst came about, they talked
about an instantaneousconnection. However, nobody can
hold on to that state ofconsciousness. 24/7, even people
who have that consciousness andactually have what's called a
(07:30):
spiritual awakening or aconversion experience, they're
not going to be able to hold onto it, because at the moment,
they walk into their everydayworld, their defence structure
is going to reactivate, and sothey're going to be right back
into the consciousness of thatsmall box. So it's not a matter
(07:53):
of attaining a state ofconsciousness that we get to
enjoy. 24/7 it's a matter ofrecognising that consciousness
and beginning to developpathways that allow us in our
own being, to live more and moreconnected in this way. And I can
(08:18):
give you an example. I thinkeverybody has had an experience
of connection. Maybe it wasconnection to a loved one. Maybe
it was a time in nature. Maybethis beautiful, sacred
connection came in a dream, butthe experience in our body, the
(08:41):
actual experience, it shifts ourvibration, and through this
shift of our vibration, we enteran elevated consciousness. So
when you have those moments, those are moments not to ignore.
Those are moments to cultivate.
Agi Keramidas (09:05):
Thank you. I took
note, and I think it's
important, and I will repeat it,it's but that it's not about
attaining a certain state ofconsciousness. I think that is,
I don't know, probably amisunderstanding. Perhaps the
way that I asked it means thatothers might have the same exact
(09:29):
misconception. Perhaps. So let'stalk more about cultivating as
you said these moments. How doesone recognise them and how
perhaps I would ask you to tellus something in a practical
(09:52):
sense, to cultivate them, because I get it, and it does
make sense. You know. A verywell that for many people, the
the missing link in doing thesethings or elevating or taking
some kind of action, so theyjust accumulate knowledge, doing
(10:14):
nothing with it. So I would liketo hear more about the
cultivation.
Daphne Michaels (10:20):
Yeah. So first
of all, I agree with you that if
it's not practical, it's nothelpful. And so my work has
always been about taking peopleto an expanded state of
consciousness, which is naturalto our being, and then looking
at how we can practically bringit into our life. And so let me
(10:44):
say this, though, because thereis a framework to it that
becomes important in this way.
And so quantum mechanics, thatmay be a word that people are
hearing more and more about whenit comes to personal
development, but basically thereis now a complete thought around
how spirituality and science arecoming together. And so there
(11:09):
are many people on a spiritualpath who embrace the idea that
what quantum physicists aretalking about in terms of
energy, in terms of living witha state of vibration, is
actually a spiritual path thatthe one in the same and so when
(11:33):
You look at that, we understandthat in quantum theory, there
are actually differentdimensions to experience.
There's 11 dimensions in theirtheory. So what I've done is
I've tried to figure out, okay, from a human perspective, what
(11:57):
are those dimensions, becausethat's the answer to helping us
understand how to walk a higherconsciousness path. And so the
first dimension, or what I callthe first field, is that
ordinary reality that's filledwith trauma and drama, and it's
(12:17):
scary. It's a scary place tolive, but people live there most
of the time. But a higherdimension is when we are in a
protected environment, so thatmay be with friends or loved
ones or in our own homes or innature or a sanctuary, our ego
(12:39):
literally relaxes so that we canremember more of these higher
states of consciousness. Sothose are just two fields out of
a big model that make atremendous difference when
people are trying to walk thispath. So when it comes to
(13:02):
calibrating, the calibrationhappens in the second field. It
doesn't happen in the firstfield. So the first field is
going to challenge us to live ina fragmented way. We're going to
be fragmented, because that'swhat the first field does. It
(13:23):
makes us a little crazy, and itdoes not bring out the best in
us, but when we're around lovedones and we're around friends,
we relax, and it starts to bringout the best in us from those
moments, that's a calibrationwe're recalibrating. So we take
those organic experiences, andif we begin to develop them, we
(13:51):
realise that those are states ofconsciousness that really
support us. What else? Bringsthis out. Standing under
starlight, brings this out in somany people watching the sun
come up in the morning, bringsthis out in so many people
(14:14):
connecting with nature, bringsthis out. So we begin to learn
how to balance the first field, which we have to be in so much
of the time, with this secondfield of healing, restoration
and recalibration to our trueessence. And as we do this, we
(14:38):
begin to develop the actualenergy field, the actual
electromagnetic energy fieldthat allows us to go back into
the world, but not in the firstfield, in what I call the third
field, which is flow. And peopleare talking about flow these
(15:01):
days, and that's when magicalthings happen. We attract what
we need. It's the law ofattraction. It's It's fun, it's
fulfilling. We're back in theworld, but we're in the world on
a higher bandwidth, and this issomething we can literally
develop by becoming moreconnected to ourselves and more
(15:24):
connected to the universe.
Agi Keramidas (15:31):
This is
wonderful. And I had the
question when you were sayingabout the first dimension and
the trauma, is it? Of course, Iget that in the second one,
which is, as you said, being ina protective environment that
will relax your ego, as yousaid, and allow that calibration
(15:51):
to happen. Apart from, you know, being in a protective
environment. Is there anythingelse we need to do about that
first dimension? Or just, youknow, focus on being in the
second dimension so that we canmove on.
Unknown (16:10):
So in the first
dimension, we need to survive
and and, kind of, you know, bein it, but not of
Agi Keramidas (16:22):
it. You know, we
need to solve anything
unresolved in that dimension.
Probably that's more accurately, the question I wanted to ask.
Daphne Michaels (16:31):
So, do you mean
trying to change the dynamics of
the first dimension, or changeourself in
Agi Keramidas (16:38):
it? Change
ourself in it?
Daphne Michaels (16:41):
Absolutely,
that's a great question. I love
that question. We have to becomesmarter than the first field.
And the thing is, is that thefirst field is literally seven
year olds trying to coexist, right? Because it is the ego,
right? Everybody in the firstfield is operating from a very
(17:04):
young programming. And so it isa lot of seven year olds trying
to coexist. And it's really easyto go down the rabbit hole being
angry and being upset and being, you know, traumatised and all of
these things. When we bring moreawareness to ourselves, watching
(17:27):
ourselves in the first field, wesay, Don't do that. Don't say
that. Don't send that. Don'tstep into it. We live with
greater awareness of how to notget caught up in the first
field, because once we getcaught up in the first field,
(17:48):
our own energy is againfragmented, and we can't shift
to the second field, right? Imean, so many people go home and
collapse at night. They're notenjoying their evenings, right?
They're just getting to thedoor, and then they're
oftentimes processing the daywith their partner, and
(18:16):
everybody's feeling terribleabout it, and nobody can get to
the second field. So so when welive in the first field lightly
and we try to navigate it andnot get caught up in it, and use
our higher coping skills tomanage it, then we step into the
(18:40):
door of our own time, and it'sjust a very small shift to move
into this higher dimension. Sowe don't want to get too deep.
We want to keep on the edge ofthe first field as much as
possible. Okay,
Agi Keramidas (19:01):
that's great.
Thank you. And what would yousay then to someone who has
experienced what you describedas the third field, you said
flow, and I think most peoplecan connect with that, or I
don't think you use the wordsynchronicities, but also that
what came to my mind when youwere describing so let's say
(19:23):
someone listening hasexperienced that dimension on
and off at times, stepping backagain to you know, the lower if
I can use that phrase, the lowerdimensions, what would you say
to him or her in order to, let'ssay, maintain more presence in
(19:46):
that flow situation.
Daphne Michaels (19:56):
The thing with
flow is that it. Is literally
waves of potential that we are, that we're writing. And once
again, science and spiritualitycome together here and tell us
that we live in a universe ofpotential, and when we're on
(20:16):
that wave of flow, we havepotential in our hands, and a
lot of people don't use it. Alot of people just say, Oh, that
was a really great day, but theydon't lean into it and begin to
unfold it. So the way to stay inflow is to become an active
(20:38):
participant in shaping ourlives, which means leaning in.
It means following up on thoseconnections. It means dreaming.
It means believing and followingit.
Agi Keramidas (20:58):
Thank you. The
phrase you used, leaning into
the potential. I think thatdescribes it perfectly. Even,
you know, when I imagine someoneleaning into it means there is a
movement towards that
Daphne Michaels (21:13):
direction. Yes,
it is not passive. It's co
creative. And you think about asurfer on the water, and if
they're not navigating the surf, they're going to fall off the
board. The surf isn't justcarrying them. It's not a
passive ride. And so that's thesame with flow. It's not a
(21:33):
passive ride. So when we learnto surf those waves and lean
into the portals that open forus, then we're creating a
magical life.
Agi Keramidas (21:47):
I like very much
the analogy when we talk about
flow and then surfing, becausethe water can be very rough.
Some people think flow issomething very smooth and easy,
but not necessarily, definitely. I'm curious, even
though it's probably beyond thescope of this conversation, at
(22:11):
least, how it's been so far. ButI would still like to hear a bit
more about the followingdimension after, you know,
believing in this flow or havingdeveloped the energy field to a
certain extent, what is next?
Daphne Michaels (22:33):
Okay, yes, the
so I mostly have developed the
first five fields, and that'swhat I teach. And there are
fields beyond that that I have apretty good idea about what they
are, but the first five I'veactually developed quite a lot
so so beyond the third field, beyond flow, is spacelessness.
(22:59):
And so basically, as ourvibration gets higher and we're
tapping into higher levels ofultra consciousness, we actually
begin to connect beyond ourphysical environment. We begin
to experience how we canexperience people, like, for
(23:21):
instance, loved ones who are ina different location and but
we're still connected, or we'reable to send energy or prayers
or whatever through these fieldsof energy, and they actually
land for people. So one of thereasons that this is so awesome
(23:46):
is because it it helps developintimacy. So let's just take
let's take a couple, forexample, and let's say they have
this really great connection, and then they say goodbye for
the day, and then they don'tfeel connected during the day.
(24:06):
It's a complete disconnect. Andso they're not really sure what
the other person is feeling orhow their day is going, or
anything like that. And thenthey come back together, and
they're not in sync, right?
Because they had really separatedays when we're in the fourth
field, we're in sync whetherwe're with the person or not, if
(24:28):
we care about people, we're insync with them, whether we're
whether we're there. And so thisopens up this whole way of
understanding that consciousnesswork is leading us toward unity.
Consciousness, we're notseparated. We're connected.
Agi Keramidas (24:55):
Thank you. How
important. Tant it is, well, I
suppose I'm trying to think thebest way to phrase this
question. You know, there is inmatters like this, when one
speaks of abstract concepts likesome of the ones that we have
(25:18):
been describing, there is adistinct difference between
being able to comprehend or evenbelieving intellectually in
these concepts and agreeing withthem on a belief level. And
there is a completely differentmatter when you have
(25:40):
experiential knowledge. Of yousaid earlier, you know the, what
was it, the cosmic connection,or something like this, which I
believe, I suppose, it's anotherthing to talk about it, or
believe that, yes, of course, weare all connected, and another
thing to actually live it andexperience it. So how important
(26:02):
is that? And is it something forone to aim for, in order, you
know, to advance the spiritualjourney?
Daphne Michaels (26:10):
Yes, it's
important to aim for the
experience. And I have workedwith people who really didn't
think any of this existed. Theythought that people that were
talking about it were lying forsome reason, for some reason,
(26:31):
maybe they thought it made themfeel better to lie about it or
something. However, I havewatched people go from non
belief to belief, because oncewe learn the concepts and once
we accept the the mystery, oncewe step into the mystery, our
(26:59):
human consciousness takes us tothe experience I had a I had
somebody in one of my groups, and it was before lunch, and we
were all talking about theconnection to nature, and they
told me later that they did notthey didn't Get it. They didn't
(27:21):
get they to them. Nature wasjust something that was out
there. But they went home forlunch, and they were eating
lunch, and they said, all of asudden, this little bird showed
up at the window, and the littlebird was so cute, and they were
transfixed by this bird. Andthen all of a sudden, their
(27:42):
heart opened. They felt theconnection, and they got it for
the first time. So once we sayto ourselves, I want to
experience it. I I honestly wantto open my heart and my mind to
the possibility our humanconsciousness will take us to
(28:03):
the experience, and then we haveto be we have to be brave,
because for a lot of people, itscares them. Of course,
Agi Keramidas (28:20):
that's a huge
topic on its own. I think we
could have an entireconversation about, you know,
letting go and surrender and allthese things. This is wonderful,
definitely. Thank you very much.
AsI will start wrapping things up
in a little bit. The first thingI wanted to ask you is, where do
(28:43):
you want to direct the listenerof this conversation that wants
to learn more about you?
Daphne Michaels (28:50):
My Website,
Daphne michaels.com, there's a
free event that I offer, whichis super fun. It's called the
Shib experience, where I workwith your energy, work with your
energy blocks, and you know,it's a good time as a small
(29:11):
group. So that would be a greatplace to start.
Agi Keramidas (29:15):
Thank you. That's
great. And I also have
definitely two final, quickquestions that I always ask. And
the first one is, what doespersonal development mean to
you?
Daphne Michaels (29:30):
Personal
Development is about taking full
responsibility for theactualization of our potential.
Agi Keramidas (29:42):
Very nicely put
Thank you. That's great and very
succinct and very whole comes tomind, very inclusive of many
concepts, thank you. And thehypothetical question, if you
could go back in time and meetyour 18 year old self, what's
one piece of advice you wouldgive? Forget.
Daphne Michaels (30:02):
I would say,
just keep going. Your time will
come. Because I've been on thispath since I was 19, and for a
long time I didn't feel like Ibelonged anywhere. But now
everybody is getting it, itseems, and I could not be
(30:24):
happier.
Agi Keramidas (30:27):
Thank you.
Daphne, I want to thank you verymuch for this conversation. I
enjoyed it very much, and Ithink there have been many How
can I put it, perhaps practicalelements that have come out of
this conversation. So Iappreciate very much. I want to
wish you all the very best witheverything that you do and to
(30:52):
carry on doing.
Daphne Michaels (30:56):
Thank you so
much. I will leave it to you for
Agi Keramidas (30:59):
your parting
words and any years, anything
else you want to tell thelistener?
Daphne Michaels (31:06):
Well, I can
tell you that this has been a
wonderful conversation. I eventhough you're in a different
part of the world, and ofcourse, we're here, you know,
through technology, but I canstill feel the the energy and
the like minded vision. So Ireally appreciate that, and I
(31:28):
don't think there's anythingbetter than coming together with
people on this path. So thankyou so much.
Agi Keramidas (31:36):
Thank you for
listening to this conversation
with Daphne Michaels. I hope ithas given you a fresh
perspective on how to movebeyond limitation and step into
a more connected and fulfillingway of living. If this
conversation inspired you, helped you or gave you something
(31:56):
meaningful, consider supportingthe show. It's like, buy me a
coffee in return for the valueyou received. Visit personal
development masterypodcast.com/support or just up
the link you will find in theepisode description. As a thank
you, I will send you a smallgift and mention you in a future
(32:17):
