After the wedding celebration settlesor you return from your honeymoon, one

(03:15):
of the most meaningful ways you cangive back is by writing a thoughtful
review for your wedding vendors.
In today's edition, we'll explainhow to write wedding vendor reviews
that truly help and why they matter.
By taking the time to write a thoughtfulreview about your vendors at your wedding
is very helpful to future couples whoare looking to find the right DJ or

(03:38):
the right photographer, or whomever.
You want to give credit tothose hardworking pros that you
made your wedding so magical.
That's right.
Sal, your reviewaccomplishes three things.
Firstly, it guides future couples.
Just as Sal says, your review canbe the deciding factor for another
couple's search for their perfectDJ, florist, or even photographer.

(04:01):
Real experiences matter.
Good or bad.
They offer invaluable informationand insight that no ad or
commercial or website could match.
Supporting small businesses.
This is so key.
Support, the local economy.
For many vendors, like us, client reviewsare the main form of our marketing.

(04:25):
A thoughtful, positive review canhelp them grow their business and
reach many, many more couples.
And thirdly, giving back yourvendors worked hard for you
to make your day special.
Take a few minutes to shareyour appreciation and make it
meaningful and say "Thank You".

(04:46):
Just as a reminder, joinus on our YouTube channel.

Now let's make an important pointbefore you rush out and post a
heated review consider these tips.
Take a moment to reflect, stop!

(05:08):
Don't go to your keyboardor to your phone.
Give yourself time to think thingsthrough before reacting, and
this is the key thing, publicly.
Be reasonable.
Approach the situation witha clear and sensible mindset.
Thirdly, choose your words carefully.

(05:28):
Accusations like "they stolefrom me" can be defamatory.
If they truly committed a crime, then you should have gone to
the authorities before posting.
Another thing is to document any breaches.
You have a contract, right?
If you believe the vendor brokethe contract, ensure that you
have solid evidence and areready to seek legal action.

(05:51):
And finally , keepprivate matters private.
Avoid airing personal grievanceson public forums like Reddit
or social media communities.
If your goal is to warn othersabout your experience, do so
thoughtfully and respectfully.
Stick to the facts and avoid makingserious allegations unless you are

(06:13):
prepared to pursue them legally.
Remember, some vendors maytake legal action in response
to your defamatory statements.
Try to resolve things amicablywith the vendor before posting.
Some vendors may not be as lenient,if you don't give them a chance
to fix any issues that you have.

(06:33):
Sam, that is all excellent advice there.
We see too often on these social mediacommunities where people are defaming
vendors and it's not always all that fair.
The person didn't think out what they weresaying online, and it could be a really
bad, negative thing for that vendor whenit really wasn't as bad as you really
think, if you really thought about it.

(06:54):
So please take a time to simmer down.
Think about what you wanna say andmake sure you don't say anything
that's gonna hurt you or anyone else.
Now, let's talk about tips forwriting wedding vendor reviews.
So what do you need to have in a weddingvendor review, and why is that so
important to have the proper information?
When you give a review.

(07:16):
You wanna give some specifics.
Give some meat to that review, explaining why that person was so
great or that company was so great.
Let the people who are readingwhat you are putting out there
understand your experience.
You can't just say, "Hey, the photographerwas great" or, "the photographer took
wonderful pictures", "the DJ playedwonderful music." It doesn't really

(07:40):
explain to the other people readingthis, what they truly did for you and
how they made your experience so great.
Something really important iskeep it concise, but thoughtful.
You don't need to write a novel.
Focus on the key momentsthat the qualities that made
this experience so memorable.

(08:00):
Even a short, heartfeltreview is incredibly valuable.
Listen to an example of this.
"Sal was the DJ for ourwedding on June 24th.
He did a fantastic job.
He allowed us to pick our own playlist, but also played other great songs
that our guests absolutely loved.
He truly made our wedding agreat experience for everyone.
We highly recommend his service."

(08:23):
We've just explained why it isimportant to write an after wedding
review and the three things that arecrucial to include in the review.

It's Wedding Tip Wednesday time, but first some marriage advice.
Marriage is like a workshop.
The husband works and the wife shops.

(10:11):
So true, Sal.
So true.
On today's Wedding Tip Wednesday, maintain a record of communications.
Make sure that any deviations fromyour wedding agreements are documented.
We're talking about our vendors now, sowe want you to be all on the same page.
Send the vendor a confirmationemail after making any changes.

(10:34):
Don't simply assume that everythingis confirmed, because remember,
you may not be the only client thatthat vendor is spoken to that day.
By the time the event arrives, youroriginal contract may no longer
even look like what you did at thevery beginning when you signed.
So all of these updates make sense.

(10:55):
Keep the same thread about all theinformation with that vendor, so both
of you could go back to it and make sureeverything is just the way you want it.
There should always bethat final walkthrough.
Making sure, this is my expectations.
You understand my expectations, andthe vendor is, writing back to you
to let you know I totally understand.
So now you have confirmationon both sides that everything

(11:18):
is just the way you want it.
And that's another weddingTip from Sal and Sam.

Thanks for joining us for our discussionon how to write wedding vendor reviews
that truly help and why they matter.
I'm Sam from Atmosphere Productions.
Hi, I am Sal from AfterHours Events of New England.

(11:40):
We've already discussed three thingsthat are important to include in
your after wedding vendor review.
Now on to more tips.
Something that's very important.
Mention the vendor strengths.
Highlight the vendor'sprofessionalism, creativity,
responsiveness, or flexibility.
This is all very importantinformation to future couples.

(12:01):
Did they communicate clearly?
Were they punctual?
Did they go above and beyond?
These specifics help othercouples know what to expect.
Here's another important aspect.
Address any issues directly if needed.
If you have a concern, try to solve itwith them upfront before posting a review.

(12:22):
Most vendors want thechance to make things right.
If issues persist, share themrespectfully and constructively in
your review so others are aware.
Use star ratings wisely.
Most review platforms allowyou to rate categories of like
quality, value, professionalism.

(12:42):
Use these ratings honestly andlet your written review provide
the context for these scores.
It is kind of important to kindof explain how you got that score
so everyone understands what'sgoing on and it's very clear.
Yeah,
having those ratings, Sal, are cool, but you can't give every vendor that
worked for you, a one star ratingwithout explaining what happened.

(13:07):
So go very careful with that.
Now let's get to a sample review.
We're gonna tell you what the structureis and then we're gonna, let you hear
what a sample review would sound like.
So you need to do an intro, and thisis where you're reviewing what services
were given or provided, to you.

(13:27):
It's very important to do that.
Then write your experience.
What stood out ? Any memorable moments.
Now, every wedding, there's alwayssomething that goes wrong, but
there are also positive moments.
Please note those positive experiencesthat you have before going on to
the next one, which is the results.

(13:48):
How did the vendorcontribute to your wedding?
If something went wrong, then obviouslysay that something went wrong.
But if something did go excellent, or thevendor went above and beyond, make sure
you note that in that part of the review.
And finally, your review hasto include a recommendation.

(14:09):
Would you hire them again?
Why?
You have to state that and if you wouldn'thire them again, please state that too.
Very important part.
Good or bad.
Please put in there why you wouldor would not hire that vendor again.
So something very important, Sam, whateveryone should always consider when

(14:29):
writing these reviews before you hit thepost button, read it over carefully again.
Sometimes you added a word thatshouldn't have been there, that
gives a different meaning or spellcheck change something on you.
So you wanna make sure everything makessense and it's what you truly wanted.
Then hit post.
So let's wrap it up with an example.

(14:51):
See how all the elements come together.
"We hired DJ Sam and his crew asour DJ for our wedding on June
24th, and they exceeded everyexpectation from our first meeting.
They listened carefully to ourvision and offered creative
suggestions we hadn't considered.
On the wedding day, they had a beautifulsetup, which included lighting.
They were dressed professionally andinformally for our black tie wedding.

(15:14):
When a last minute rainstorm forcedus to move the ceremony indoors,
DJ Sam quickly reworked thearrangements to fit the new space.
Their flexibility and calm attitude madea stressful situation so much easier.
I can't recommend them highly enough.
Our wedding wouldn't havebeen the same without them."
As you can see, writing weddingvendor reviews is a small

(15:34):
act, but has a big impact.
By sharing your honest experience, you help future couples make
informed decisions and showgratitude to the vendors who made
your celebration so possible.
After you return from your honeymoon, takea few minutes please to pay it forward.
Your words could be the reason, another couple finds their

(15:57):
dream wedding vendor team.
So there you have it.
We just explained how to writewedding vendor reviews that
truly help and why they matter.
We gave you specific examples of exactlywhat to write, plus some expert tips
for crafting wedding vendor reviews thatare honest and engaging, and that'll
influence other couples decisions.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
