All great baseball teams have amazing minor league systems where development and preparation for the show are the focus. The OSP is thrilled to have Indianapolis Indians broadcaster, Jack McMullen joining us on this episode. The Indians are the Pittsburgh Pirates AAA affiliate. We are gonna discuss with Jack who’s in the pipeline for the Pirates, who is the next “big thing” to join the varsity roster, will Jack Suwinski and Henry Davis get fixed and is there a legit 1st baseman in Indianapolis. Crack a cold one open and start shelling peanuts. It’s time to play ball!

Bio: Bio: Sports Broadcaster for the Indianapolis Indians, Pittsburgh Triple affiliate. He’s a 2020 graduate of Syracuse University and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In Syracuse, he filled a variety of broadcast roles with the most notable being the Sports Director at WAER-FM. Jack additionally hosts a podcast called Just Baseball Media.

1. Tell us a little bit about your background in broadcasting and how long you’ve been with the Indians. (Sizzle)

3. Who has been a surprise in position players that we haven’t heard about? (Maradei)

5. Any relief pitching that could help the parent club? (Sizzle)

 

6. How has Henry Davis been performing since his arrival? Defense isn’t his issue obviously. Has he taken any reps at 1st base? (Rashene)

9. In your opinion why do many of these players have success at the AAA level but can’t seem to make the move up when called upon. Is it really that much of a difference. (Rashene)
