Jen Magi is an engineer, adventurer, and advocate for change. As a solar project engineer, she designs and builds large-scale solar facilities to support Florida’s energy transition. But this year, she’s taking on an even bigger challenge—climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to honor her late father, Mike Magi, and raise critical funds in the fight against blood cancer.
Born and raised at sea level in Delray Beach, Florida, Jen has had to train in creative ways for the 19,341-foot climb. That’s why she launched “Sweat for a Cure,” a fitness and fundraising initiative that partners with local studios to promote health, build community, and support LLS—all while preparing for the summit. Jen’s story proves you don’t have to be a superhuman athlete to do something incredible. She’s just a regular 27-year-old taking on a mountain-sized challenge in memory of the man who inspired her most.
