Secure Act 2.0 is Congress’s latest attempt to address America's retirement crisis. Signed into law in late December 2022, this package of retirement reforms aim to finish the job begun by the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement (SECURE) Act of 2019.
Version 2.0 of the Secure Act introduces dozens of provisions intended to improve retirement outcomes. From better catch-up contributions to automatic 401(k) enrollment, we’ve identified five of the most important changes you need to know about from this new law.
