Happy Pride month! In honour of pride month, we will be covering cases that were catalysts for change in LGBTQIA2+ community to highlight the adversity’s this community has and continues to face as well as the absolute strength and resilience shown throughout history and today.
On today’s episode, we are talking about the icon, pioneer, and absolute queen that was Marsha P. Johnson. Marsha was a prominent figure in the sparking of the Stonewall uprising in 1969 that then sparked a 5 day revolution of fighting for gay rights and the LGBTQ community. She created epic change and advocated tirelessly for the community through the 1970’s all the way until she passed away in 1992. But what happened to Marsha? We have no idea but we do know it was not suicide.
