Recorded February 26th, 2019.
For this episode, we do a deep dive into a topic that we love and feel has changed our lives forever; jiu-jitsu, more specifically Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ).
We discuss a brief history of BJJ coming to the United States, the basic elements of this martial art, and its benefits/risks. Our discussions go as far as how BJJ mirrors the principles of life, all the way to its practicality in unarmed combat. With 2 years into BJJ, we speak to our experiences with injury, tissue tolerance, positional stress, and learning a brand new complex skill in our forties.
Finally, we announce our upcoming courses for Considerations in treating/training the BJJ player. These courses are for clinicians and trainers who treat, or might be treating BJJ athletes and would like to learn the specific considerations of their sport. Please contact us through IG or facebook for further details for booking.
This is a huge plug for BJJ, its incredible life lessons, physical benefits, and how fun it can be. Don’t fear BJJ for its risks, but love it for how it produces the best you!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
