since we do celebrate Father'sDay.
Fathers and Daddies is there adifference?
I don't know.

I've heard many people say thisis my father and some say this
is my daddy and I wonder isthere a difference?
And I wonder is there adifference?

So I went out on this quest toask a few of my friends what is
the difference between a fatherand a daddy.
I got a mixed bag of opinionsand that's what I expected from
them.
Overall, there was only onedifference between the two, or
at least that's what I came awaywith from the conversations.
So let's start.
I want to start with fathersand how people view the title of

being a father.
Fathers are men who cause apregnancy which results in the
birth of a child.
This is what the dictionarydefines as a father.
In my conversations with others, this is basically one
difference between a father anda daddy, and I'm not sure if I

fully agree that providing DNAfor a child is the only
difference.
There is more to being a father.
For example, when you father achild, are you going to be there
during the birth?
A father will be there as thechild grows up, teaching the

child the ways of the world and,if it's a boy, definitely how
to be a young man who eventuallygrows up into a full-fledged
father himself.
A father is going to ensurethat the child is taken care of
with all the requirements neededto be in this world.

The father is going to providehousing, financial support, food
, clothing, transportation toand from required destinations,
and so on.
A father is going to provideand show unconditional love love

forever in his words and in hisactions.
Fathers are going to be therefor their children through the
good times, like graduations,weddings, the birth of their own
child, making him a grandfather.

Fathers are going to be thereduring the hard times and make
time for their children, likegoing to lunch at the school,
helping them with their homework, taking them to places they
need to go practices, football,soccer, cheerleading and taking

them to the parks.
A father is going to be therefor their child.
A father is going to be therefor their child.
The objective is spending timewith your child or children.
A father is going to teach hischild that he will be there for

them always ways physically,mentally and spiritually.

So what is a daddy?
According to the dictionary,the term daddy has several
definitions.
So many definitions.
Let's start with the first oneSlang term daddy An affectionate
or familiar term of address toa boyfriend or male romantic

partner, especially if he isolder, feels comfortable being

with a younger person and isthere to help and support them
and work through things withthem.
A daddy and the last term isanother meaning for daddy, which
is an informal term for afather.
So many definitions, but Idecided to share the term daddy

in the way friends have sharedwith me.
A daddy is a man that takes onthe responsibilities of a father
role with a child that is nothis biological child.
We have many men out theretaking on the role of daddy that

deserves a shout out.
Thank you to the daddies takingon the role of a father for the
ladies and their children.

It's not easy.
Being a daddy to some otherman's child or children the
children, many times in thesesituations, say hurtful words.

Listen, ladies, if the daddy inyour house is taking care of
you, the children, house bills,no disrespect to anyone in the

the children understand thedaddy's role and he should be
respected in the house Period.
Mothers, you are thegatekeepers of this delicate

balance of love in the house.
If you allow the bad behaviorfrom the child or the daddy to
take place, then all theconsequences are on you.
Before you even brought this maninto your living arrangements,
conversations should have beenhad by you to the children and

The children should have metthis man well before he's
invited to live in your home.
There is an expectation thatshould have been set for each
party in the house.
You should have had aconversation with your children

about how you feel about thisman.
What do you think this mancould do to help your family?
You should also consider thefact that you love this man.
You should have expressed tothe children that no one can
take the place of their father.

However, this is a good man whowants to earn your trust and
love and possibly one day beyour daddy.
In your conversation with yournew love, your new baby daddy,
you should have set thegroundwork to let him know that

he is not their father and thathe shall not lay hands on your
child, but if discipline isnecessary, you'll handle that.
That he needs to understandthat you will support him and

ensure that he is notdisrespected in the house.
You need to let him know thatthe children may or may not call
him daddy after a few months,years or ever, but he would
always be respected.
Now that you have set theseboundaries on the relationship
and in the household, thingsshould go well, because everyone

understands the father anddaddy role Fathers and daddies
are not too different in theirroles then the term father,
after talking to several men,seems to have a heavier weight
and has more respect.
Many people will say there isonly one father and many daddies

This statement seems true to me, at least.

In my opinion, you can onlyfather one child with one woman,
but you can introduce manydaddies to your children.
There was a time I didn'tunderstand the difference but
doing my little quest andresearch on this topic, I have a
