This Friday you will find us at the entrance of Clonigers Marketplace in downtown Grangeville, ID for another fundraiser. Why broadcast a live show from a grocery store? Answer: Consider the variety of shoppers we will meet- great deal shoppers, hungry shoppers, forgot my lunch at home shoppers, dont have anything else to do shoppers, I dont have air conditioning shoppers, organic only shoppers, apathy shoppers. . . . The list is endless. In between shoppers, we ll discuss the first self-service grocery store that opened in the United States. Did you know there are no grocery stores in Europe? Really! How about this- who calls grocery stores “grocers”? Is there a Wal-Mart in the UK? In the United States are the cashiers more likely to stand at their register rather than sit? Perhaps we will take a mini-survey and find the true answer.
