Actualmente los adolescentes se sumergen en el complejo mundo de las redes sociales donde encuentran diversas oportunidades para divertirse y socializar, pero también enfrentan diversos desafíos como el ciberbullying, la agresión digital y las amenazas de extorsionadores.
Así mismo, la presencia de extorsionadores en línea, que buscan aprovechar la información personal de los adolescentes implica la posibilidad de exponer datos sensibles y ser blanco de amenazas y chantajes por lo que es de suma importancia adoptar medidas seguras en el uso de Internet.
