Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, good morning, beautiful people. Hey everyone, and welcome back
to the Amani Talks podcast. You're here with your host
Amani on the podcast where we discuss our Christian based
topics and zeepening our relationship with the lower and y'all know,
y'all know, we are continuing on in our Proverb a
Day series. Today is July eleventh. We will be in
(00:20):
Proverbs eleven. And what we do is every day we
read a chapter of Proverbs, the Book of Wisdom, and
we get our little you know, daily dose of wisdom
in the morning, a little word to start our day off.
Good morning, queen, Good morning. I hope you have a
productive day today. Today is Friday, Friday, so the weekend
(00:41):
is coming up. And yeah, let's get into this Proverbs eleven. Okay,
And just so y'all know, I am reading from the
new King James version, So let's get started. Proverbs eleven.
Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord. But it
just waits is his delight. When pride comes, then comes shame.
But with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the
(01:03):
upright will guide them, but the perversity of the unfaithful
will destroy them. Riches do not profit in the day
of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death. The righteousness of
the blameless will direct his way aright, but the wicked
will fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the
upright will deliver them, but the unfaithful will be caught
(01:25):
by their lust. When a wicked man dies, his expectation
will perish, and the hope of the unjust perishes. The
righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the
wicked instead. Mmm, calot that tee say it again, sit again.
The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to
the wicked instead. Okay, the hypocrite with his mouth destroys
(01:48):
his neighbor, but through knowledge, the righteous will be delivered.
When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices,
and when the wicked perish there is jubilation. MM. By
the blessing of the up right, the city is exalted,
but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, but
a man of understanding holds his peace. A telle bearer
(02:12):
reveals secrets, but he who is of a faithful spirit
conceals a matter. Okay, where there is no counsel, the
people fall, But in the multitude of counselors there are safety.
He who is surety first stranger will suffer, but one
who hates being surety is secure. A gracious woman retains honor,
but ruthless men retain riches. M. The merciful man does
(02:35):
good for his own soul, but he who is cruel
troubles his own flesh. The wicked man does deceptive work,
but he who sows righteousness will have a sheer reward.
As righteousness leads to life, so he who pursues evil
pursues it to his own death. Those who are of
a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, but
the blameless in their ways are his delight. Though they
(02:58):
join forces, the wicked will not go up punished. Mmm,
I know that's right. Though they join forces, though they
create the band wagon of hate. Okay, they will not
go unpunished, But the posterity of the righteous will be
delivered as a ring of gold. And a swine's snout
sows a lovely woman who lacks discretion. The desire of
(03:19):
the righteous is only good, but the expectation of the
wicked is wrath. There is one who scatters yet increases more,
And there is one who withholds more than is right,
but it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be
made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.
The people will curse him who withholds grain, but blessing
(03:40):
will be on the head of him who sells it.
He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will
come to him who seeks evil. He who trusts in
his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage.
He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind,
and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
(04:01):
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.
And he who wins souls is wise. If the righteous
will be recompensed on the earth, how much more the
ungodly and the sinner Proverbs eleven, Ladies and Gentlemen. And
this continues on from chapter ten. Title for chapter ten
was why Sayings of Solomon. So I think we are
(04:22):
continuing for a few chapters with just this kind of
structure of just Solomon's why sings. You know it kind
of reads kind of random and scrambled, but I'm sure
there is a rhyme and rhythm to it. But yeah,
let's talk about chapter eleven. Now, I know y'all heard
(04:42):
me give my little umm m clock that tea. When
I was reading a few verses and I want to
revisit a couple of those. Verse eight was the first
one that stood out to me. So let's reread that one.
Verse eight says the righteous is delivered from trouble and
it comes to the wicked instead. Ain't that the truth?
(05:03):
Ain't that the truth? See a lot of the principles
that other religions take and other people just kind of
make up for themselves, like out in the world, like
how they have replaced the Lord with the universe. Karma
is the principle from Proverbs. Okay, the righteous is delivered
(05:24):
from trouble and it comes to the wicked instead. That's
the whole principle of what people call karma. What goes
around comes around, right, But this is what the Bible
tells us. The righteous will be delivered and the wickedness,
the evil that these people try to put on you,
comes right back to them. And that just reminds me
of when I read Esther. We were studying Esther at
my church. And if y'all have not read Esther, that
(05:46):
is a great book to read it. It's just one
of those books that you can read and it's just
so like drama fills and there's nothing boring, even though
I don't believe the Bible is boring. If you think
the Bible is boring, you ain't read it, okay. But
Esther is one of those books that it's a really
easy read. It's not super long, it's drama filled, it's
very interesting, and it just reminds me of that dynamic
(06:09):
in Esther to where Hayman built that gallo to hang
Mordecai on. But when the king found out that he
was kind of the person behind having the Jews annihilated,
and you know, the Queen Esther was a Jew, and
she brought it to the King's attention. He ended up
being the one hanging on those gallows. So you mean
(06:32):
to tell me that the device that you built to
hang somebody else on, just because you're a worker of iniquity,
you are doing evil. You are the enemy to God's people,
because you know his people were enemies to the Jews,
so he hated the Jews, but we know the Jews
are God's people, you know whatever. So the device that
you built to hang somebody else on while you were
(06:53):
devising evil, you ended up getting hanged on it. And
ain't that how God work? Ain't that how God work?
There is a lot of poetic justice in the Bible, okay,
And even in psalms and psalms and proverbs just go.
They go together real bad, They go hand in hand.
For me, really, why sayings and then psalms is really
(07:13):
kind of like prayers almost When the author writes, and
I'm pretty sure this is David that wrote this, he
prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies,
and the presence of my enemies. Not only does the
lore prepare a table for me? Who am I that
the Lord will prepare a table for me? But he
does it in front of the people who hate me?
(07:36):
And ain't that how the Lord work? Every single time
people come against you for no reason, they bandwagon against you,
and it just always comes on their own head. Instead,
you go out of your way to be evil, and
that evil comes right back to you because God protects
his people. And then that brings me to another verse
(07:58):
that I was just kind of like, bruh tee, okay, yeah,
Verse twenty one. Though they join forces, the wicked will
not go unpunished. I love that. I love that. I
love these little tidbits of promises of how the Lord
is going to protect his people. Though they bandwagon, though
(08:19):
they're on the hate train, though everybody has devised the
plan to be like, yeah, we don't like you, we
don't like Amani, we don't like you, we don't like
so and so. Though they join on the hate train,
though they want to cancel you, though they want to
come against you, and they want to team up and
bully you. Though they join forces, the wicked will not
(08:40):
go unpunished. I love that. I love that. So I
don't gotta do nothing, Bet, I don't gotta say nothing. BET.
I don't gotta get my revenge, my vengeance. Bet. The
Lord sees all things, and the wicked do not go
on punished. Sometimes it does not always seem like it.
(09:03):
It doesn't always seem visible to us, right when people
wrong us, when they join the hate train, when they're
on the bandwagon against you for literally no reason. We
don't always see the punishment up front, but trust and
believe they get in it. People won't tell you when
they're being punished. They only tell you when they're prospering.
They don't tell you about the punishment though, so you
(09:23):
might not see it. But the Lord is punishing them.
Don't don't let anybody convince you. Otherwise they might put
on a brave face around other people. They might put
on the front when they got to be out in public,
but in private, the Lord has given them that whooping
that they deserve. Yeah, I love that. I love that
I don't have to go out of my way to
get my own vengeance the Lord. The Lord said, vengeance
(09:46):
is mine. I will repay. Yeah. Oh you know what. Yeah,
I appreciate that. God, thank you for putting it in
your hands and taking it out of mine, because you
will hit them where hurts. Okay, I can only say
so much. I can only do so much without going
to jail. But the Lord knows the way. And this
(10:09):
is what we have to realize too when we think about,
you know, the Lord punishing those who deserve punishment. We
are not better than anybody else. Though we are the
Lord's people, the Lord's children, we are not better than
anyone else. Everyone is his creation, and he deals with
his creation how he sees it. It's not for us
to say, oh, God, you know you know they did
(10:32):
this to me. I ain't see you do nothing yet.
They still out here prospering, They still in the club,
they still going on vacation, they still got that boyfriend.
I ain't see you do nothing yet. God. It's not
for us to tell God how he should be punishing
what he created, how he should be handling what he created.
It's only your job to just sit back and know
what the promises of the Lord are. And you know
(10:54):
the promises of the Lord by reading the Bible. And
that's why we're going through Proverbs. There's a lot of
problem says. You know, Proverbs is the book of wisdom,
but it seems like to me in every chapter there
are several promises about what the Lord will do for
his people, what he will do for the righteous. And
I love that for us, I love that for you. Sis.
(11:15):
All right, if you guys have a key verse from
Proverbs eleven, yeah we're on eleven that really resonated with you,
that stuck with you, definitely drop it in the comments.
I like to read the comments and see what you
guys think about it. Otherwise, I hope you guys have
enjoyed this chapter, your little zaily dose of wisdom for
the day. We would definitely be back tomorrow morning. I'll
(11:36):
see you guys, Lada Bye.
