The difference between merely hearing God's voice and truly hearkening to it forms the powerful foundation of Sister Hallam's transformative message. Drawing from her personal word from the Lord—"Hearken unto me and I will lay out the stones for your steps"—she explores how genuine kingdom advancement requires not just passive hearing but attentive listening that produces obedient action.

Through a compelling examination of Joshua's contrasting experiences at Jericho and Ai, Sister Hallam reveals a crucial spiritual principle: when we meticulously follow divine instruction as Joshua did at Jericho, we experience supernatural victory. However, when we rely on human wisdom and fail to seek God's counsel even for seemingly minor decisions (as with Ai), we risk defeat and loss. This stark contrast teaches us that no matter how insignificant a decision may seem, every step in kingdom advancement demands divine guidance.

Sister Hallam challenges listeners with a penetrating truth: "It is not hearkening unto the Lord if we've already decided what we want Him to tell us." How often do we approach God with preconceived notions, essentially asking for confirmation rather than direction? True hearkening requires emptying ourselves of preferences and preconceptions, being willing to receive correction or even rebuke. These moments of divine redirection often reveal our true commitment to kingdom advancement—are we pursuing God's agenda or merely seeking His blessing on our own?

The message concludes with a powerful insight about divine alignment in this apostolic hour. Everything God is doing now centers on alignment—both with Him and with His people. As Brother Robinette affirms, "If you align with people but not with God, you can't get nothing done without God. But if you align with God, He will always expect you to align with people." This dual alignment forms the essential foundation for reaching billions with the gospel.

Ready to develop a deeper practice of truly hearkening to God's voice? Listen now and discover how attentive obedience can position you precisely where God needs you in this critical hour of kingdom advancement.

We love to hear from our listeners! Thank you!

God filled nine more peoplewith the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We had one that's gettingbaptized in Jesus' name.

(04:06):
We had about 15 people testifyof miracles in their bodies.
It was such an amazing Sundayin Bonn, Germany.
We give honor to Pastor Marioand Sister Josinha.

We love this great family of God and the fantastic
work that they are doing in thiscity.

sessions on a weekly basis.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And to all the families of Apostolic Mentoring
and Global Harvest that arewatching this channel every week
.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
We have a great problem in Bonn, Germany.

Speaker 2 (05:29):

Speaker 1 (05:34):
They are growing out of their church completely.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
completamente.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
And the Lord has opened up a great door for them
to get another building thatwill essentially allow them to
triple in size.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
And the Lord is opening a great door for them to
triple in size.
It's going to provide themSunday school space, fellowship

(06:17):
area.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
A kitchen, so that they don't have to go somewhere
else for cooking all thatwonderful food.
It is a great victory.
God has set before them an opendoor that no man can shut.

(06:45):
But of course, this greatmiracle is going to require
God's global church to comealongside of them financially
and in prayer.

Speaker 2 (07:02):

Speaker 1 (07:12):
And I'm not asking for anything today.
I'm going to put out a bigsocial media blitz in the next
month.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
vou estar colocando algo grandena média social.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
We're going to work together with the regional
director here and the leadershipof the UPC of Germany To help
to meet the financial need thatthis church is going to be

(07:49):
experiencing here in the nextmonth or so, nesses próximos
meses.
But I just want every one ofyou, great apostolic people, to
be praying about how you can bea part of this miracle

(08:10):
transition of great revival inthis city.

Speaker 2 (08:15):

Speaker 1 (08:28):
And I know that when we promote this, everybody's
going to want to get involvedright away, and I'm so thankful
for that desire.
I also want to make just aquick announcement at the end of

(08:50):
this session.
Today I'm going to share withall of those on Zoom the brand
new front cover of our new book, the Partnership of Faith.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Seen first on Apostolic.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Mentoring.
I know you all have beenexcited about the dropping of
this new book and it is going tobe out within about 30 days.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
But the cover's done and it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
So at the end of the Zoom session I'll make sure, and
if I forget, you guys got to belike hey, don't sign off until
you put the photo up.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
E aí nós vamos colocar no final.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Well, we are so thrilled about this new book.
Estamos tão felizes com estenovo livro and we are so excited
about how it is going to make agreat global kingdom impact.
I do want to say thank you toall of the Global Harvest and

(10:23):
Apostolic Mentoring familymembers who included a
Partnership of Faith testimonialin the book.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
I want to thank the entire team and team of Global
Harvest and Apostolic Mentoringwho shared a part of the
testimony to be integrated inthe book.
Reading these testimonies has Ican't even tell you how it

(10:59):
caused my heart to leap and mademe want to run and do more in
the kingdom of God.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
I want to say thank you to every one of you that
included a testimony it is.
I think there's something like40 testimonies in the back of
the book.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I want to thank every person that is participating,
including your testimony.
I think there are more or less40 testimonies that will be at
the end of the book.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
Eight people wrote forewords for the book as well.
So there is a great and growingpartnership of faith around the
release of this book.

Speaker 2 (11:38):

Speaker 1 (11:46):
We are so excited about this apostolic mentoring
session today.
I am just so thrilled to get tohost Sister Hallam.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
I don't know if it's fair to the kingdom of God to
have Sister Hallam and SisterJones just punching the devil in
the eye together.
You guys know I try to be fairto the enemy as much as I can,

(12:40):
but we just had the privilege toget connected with Sister Halem
very well before Ethiopia.

Speaker 1 (12:56):
But it was so funny.
I you know we always put outthe announcements for Global
Harvest Crusades and we had ateam that was all men until
right at the end.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I get this message from Sister Halem and she wants
to join the crusade team and atthe end of the stage, Sister
Helen sent me a message that shewanted to be part of this team

(13:33):
and I was a little nervous aboutSister Helen coming with a
bunch of guys and I tried togive her an exit strategy.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
And I wrote her and I said Sister Hallam, it's just
going to be a bunch of men onthis trip and I don't want you
to feel uncomfortable.
Do you have any female friendsthat could come with you?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
And I don't want you to feel uncomfortable.
You think you have a friend whocan be with you on this trip.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Then I said you know, maybe you want to choose
another trip.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
And then I said maybe you want to choose another trip
.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
She wrote back something like I don't have any
friends and I'm coming toEthiopia, but she wrote me I
don't have any friends and I'mgoing to Ethiopia.
I knew I wasn't going to winthis argument.
Then, when I got to meet her inAddis Ababa, just being around

(14:44):
this woman of God is such agreat, great joy.
She has such a passion for thekingdom.
She preached a masterpiece atthe crusade.
E ela pregou uma pregaçãomestrada nessa cruzada she

(15:10):
preached about a three-key door.

Speaker 2 (15:13):

Speaker 1 (15:17):
A message I will never forget.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
E essa mensagem eu nunca vou esquecer.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
The people of Ethiopia stood on their feet the
whole time she preached.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
The people of Ethiopia stood on their feet the
whole time she preached.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
They were ready for that outpouring of the Spirit.
So I'm very thrilled to hostSister Helen today and I just
want her to know how much welove her and we want her to take
her liberty as usual.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Amen thank you for the very kind words, brother
Robinette.
I am very honored to be a partof apostolic mentoring today and

(16:29):
I give you and sister Robinettegreat honor for the work that
you all are doing for thekingdom and I'm very grateful
for the opportunities thatyou've afforded me to just be
used in the kingdom.
That's my desire to be used inthe kingdom.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
That's my desire to be used in the kingdom.
dia.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
And I would like to make a side note.
I do have friends, but it wasshort notice.

Speaker 2 (17:01):

Speaker 3 (17:08):
But I was very grateful for the opportunity and
I wasn't going to let it passby.
Today I would like to talkabout something that is very
necessary for the advancementand the acceleration of the
kingdom of God, and today I wantto talk about something that is

(17:38):
very important for theacceleration and advancing in
the kingdom of God.
This message is not somethingnew or a new revelation, maybe
something that can be easilypushed to the sidelines if we
aren't diligent in our zeal forthe kingdom In 2020,.

(18:07):
I was in prayer and God spokesomething to me that I've held
on to through many differentsituations since then.
God said hearken unto me and Iwill lay out the stones for your
steps.

Speaker 2 (18:28):

Speaker 3 (18:38):
He said seek me and I will show you where to step
next Me busque, ele disse, e eute mostrarei aonde você deve ir
para adiante.
So today I want to talk aboutthe need to hearken to the Lord.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Então hoje eu quero falar com todos nós.
A importância de ouvir a voz doSenhor.

Speaker 3 (19:04):
The word hearken means more than simply hearing.
ouvir it means to listenattentively and give heed to
what is heard.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
It implies obedience and aresponse to the voice of the
Lord o que você está ouvindo.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
It implies obedience and a response to the voice of
the Lord.

Speaker 2 (19:35):

Speaker 3 (19:42):
We can't only listen for the voice of God.

Speaker 2 (19:46):

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Deus, we must listen to the voice of God.
James 1.22 and Tiago 1.22 tellsus to be doers of the word and
not hearers only deceiving ourown selves.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
When we hear the voice of Godquando a gente escuta a voz de
Deus, whether it is through thepreached word we hear the voice
of God.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Quando a gente escuta a voz de Deus, whether it is
through the preached word.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
pregada, from teaching Ou de umensinamento, or from God himself

Speaker 3 (20:50):
We must respond.
É necessário que a genteresponda.
Obey and study what God isreally saying.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
dizendo.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
We must understand that the voice of God will never
contradict the written word ofGod.

Speaker 2 (21:12):

Speaker 3 (21:20):
So if God is speaking into your spirit, go to the
Bible.

Speaker 2 (21:24):

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Eclesiastes 1 e 9,.
Eclesiastes 1 e 2, tells usthat there is no's situation in

(21:57):
the word.
We can also tune our ears andhearts to hearken to his voice.

Speaker 2 (22:09):

Speaker 3 (22:16):
Through prayer, fasting, worship and giving.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
Senhor algo, but also throughsubmission.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
When we are doing these things, God's voice will
be louder than any other voicein our world.

Speaker 2 (22:42):

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Listening attentively means that we have to be paying
attention.
We must be intentionallylistening and waiting for God to
speak into our lives.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
we get comfortable with thedaily work in the kingdom,
reino.
And not listening to andresponding to the voice of God,

Speaker 3 (23:31):
We will never reach our full potential and purpose
in the kingdom.
We know that after the death ofMoses, God spoke to Joshua
God told him to arise and goover Jordan to the land which he

(23:55):
had given Israel.

Speaker 2 (23:57):

Speaker 3 (24:05):
He told Joshua to go advance the kingdom.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
E ele falou para Josué.
Vai avançar o reino.

Speaker 3 (24:14):
He told Joshua, every place where the sole of his
foot would tread would be givenunto him.

Speaker 2 (24:19):

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Joshua hearkened unto God's voice.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
E Josué ouviu e obedeceu a voz de Deus.
Joshua hearkened unto God'svoice.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
He listened, he obeyed and he responded to the
instruction of the Lord.
We know that God gave Joshuavery specific instructions about
how to conquer Jericho.
Joshua hearkened to theseinstructions and had a great

(25:05):
victory.
E porque?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Josué ouviu as instruções do Senhor ele teve
uma grande vitória.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Right after this great victory at Jericho e aí,
depois dessa vitória grande emJericho, Joshua sent men to spy
out the city of Ai Josué enviouhomens para ser espias na cidade
de Ai.
The men came back and gaveJoshua a very good report.

(25:40):
They could easily advance andconquer Ai.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
This time, joshua hearkened tothe men's report.

(26:03):
Nowhere does it say that Joshualistened for the Lord's voice

Speaker 3 (26:19):
The men went up at Joshua's command and 36 were
killed and the children ofIsrael left defeated.

Speaker 2 (26:27):

Speaker 3 (26:34):
And when they were captured in the city of Jericho
Achan said he was havingsomething against the Israelites
.

Speaker 2 (26:46):

Speaker 3 (26:56):
But Joshua was unaware that the Lord's anger
had been kindled against them.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
It wasn't until Joshua fell onhis face before the Ark of the
Arca do Senhor that Joshualistened to the voice of the
Lord, who was angry with theirdisobedience.

(27:28):
israelitas.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
So Jericho was a large city, but Ai was a small
town.

Speaker 2 (27:44):

Speaker 3 (27:51):
We seek the voice of God for the big things.

Speaker 2 (27:55):

Speaker 3 (27:59):
But sometimes we think we know best when it comes
to the little things.

Speaker 2 (28:03):

Speaker 3 (28:09):
It is important to hearken to the voice of the Lord
in all things.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
as coisas.

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Even when you have direction from the Lord, you
have to slow down and hearkenevery step of the way.

Speaker 2 (28:26):

Speaker 3 (28:35):
Even after this, joshua still struggled with
hearkening to the Lord.
When two men came to Joshua, and these men were deceitfully
seeking a partnership, the wordtells us that Joshua and his men

(29:09):
asked not counsel at the mouthof the Lord.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
If we are not falling on ourface daily, longing to hear the
voice of the Lord, longing tohear the voice of the Lord Se
nós não estamos diariamenteprostrados diante de Deus.
Buscando a sua face para ouvirdo Senhor Concerning our actions

(29:42):
, our families and ourministries, perguntando ao
Senhor das nossas ações, asnossas famílias e ministério.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
We might miss something that God is not
pleased with.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
naquilo.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
And we might fall into partnerships that are not
his will for us to be in.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Estarmos alinhados.
We can have clear instructionfrom the Lord about our part in
advancing the kingdom.

Speaker 3 (30:23):

Speaker 2 (30:28):
But if we are not stopping to hear his voice along
the way.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
caminho disso we can get lost inour ideas of how to do it
instead of his plan on how toadvance Nós podemos estar
Not every good idea is a Godidea If we are not hearkening

(31:02):
into his voice we are not goingto be able to discern the
difference.
Jesus himself told the disciplesthat he would be delivered into
the hands of men, be killed andrise again on the third day que

(31:28):
.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
No terceiro dia ele ia ressuscitar.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
And the word tells us , they understood not what he
was saying and were afraid toask him.

Speaker 2 (31:40):

Speaker 3 (31:48):
They heard Jesus' voice, but they had no
understanding of what he wassaying.
They were hearing, but theyweren't hearkening.
This is why it's imperativethat we not only hear, but we

(32:11):
pray for wisdom andunderstanding of his instruction
.
We must also be willing toaccept what God is speaking to
us.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
To accept what God is speaking to us, mas também

Speaker 3 (32:33):
It is not hearkening into the Lord If we've already
decided what we want him to tellus?

Speaker 2 (32:39):
.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
There will be times that he will have to correct us,
halt us or even rebuke us.
It's in these times that ourresponse to his voice means the
most.

(33:15):
responder a voz de Deus, é maisimportante.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
It's in these times that our true willingness to
advance the kingdom will berevealed.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
É neste momento que a verdadeira vontade do nosso
coração e integridade de avançarno reino será revelada Just
because we think we know thedirection God is sending us does
not mean that direction willremain the same forever If we

(33:51):
are not truly hearkening intothe Lord's voice in our lives we
may miss the stones that he islaying out Se realmente nós não
estamos buscando a voz de Deusnas nossas vidas.
We may miss the stones that heis laying out and get completely
off the path he intended for us.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Nós vamos perder o caminho, as pedras no caminho
nossas próprias vidas, I havelearned that God will use
whoever is faithful and obedientand willing.
I have learned that God willuse whoever is faithful and
obedient and willing.
e disposta a obedecer a Ele.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
But he reserves certain tasks for certain people
, so they can learn and grow MasEle vai reservar algumas coisas
específicas para que elespossam aprender e crescer.
If we are not careful, we cansee something that would benefit
the kingdom.

(34:52):
beneficiário para o reino andtake it upon ourselves to do it
without asking God if that isour task E vamos colocar em nós
We can stumble into someoneelse's task and rob them of the
growth and blessings God had forthem.

Speaker 2 (35:15):

Speaker 3 (35:26):
This is why it's so necessary to not only listen for
the voice of God, but listen tothe voice of God for our lives.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
nossa vida.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
The time has come that we can no longer push off
the voice of God while we waitfor concrete confirming signs.
The word says signs will followthem that are following the
Lord.
If you are sincere and youhearken unto the Lord daily for

(36:16):
what he has for your purpose inthe kingdom.

Speaker 2 (36:19):

Speaker 3 (36:28):
The signs will follow your steps instead of coming
before them.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
I can use an example in my ownpersonal life.
I've had a burden for a certaincountry in the world for over a

(36:56):

Speaker 3 (37:03):
I've been diligent in prayer and fasting and giving
to the missions of this certaincountry E eu estou diariamente
And.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
I know the direction of the Lord has me connected to
this certain country for akingdom purpose.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
But the opportunity came up for me to go to Ethiopia
with Brother Robinette just afew short weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
And another few weeks ago the opportunity came for me
to go to Ethiopia with BrotherRobinette.

Speaker 3 (37:50):
And this is not the country that I have been
investing.
Easy for me to have decidedthat I should not go to Ethiopia
because that is not thedirection the Lord was leading
me over the last year.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
But I have been willing and obedient to follow
the Lord and hearken to hisvoice for every step I take.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
It would have been easy for me to say no to
Ethiopia, because my mind wasset somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (38:45):

Speaker 3 (38:51):
But I knew God wanted me to go to Ethiopia for a
purpose, and that is what ismore important than my desires.

Speaker 2 (38:59):

(39:24):
presença de Deus and wanting tobe used in the kingdom.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
You have to let go of what it looks like in your mind
and seek what it looks like inyour mind that you think will
happen this way and you have toseek to see the way that is in
the mind of God.
Wow.

(39:48):
So I just want to telleverybody today thank you for
listening to this, and if youare willing and obedient and
faithful, god will use you, butyou have to hearken unto his
voice, not your own.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
And I want to thank each one of you who are
listening to this message.
I want to say that if youlisten to the voice of God and
seek him, he will use you, notseeking your own voice, but the
voice of the Lord.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
Brother Robinette, I turn it back over to you and I
appreciate this opportunity andI thank you for everything, all
the confidence and theencouragement that you give me.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Sister Helen, that is a kingdom critical word that
you just delivered today.
What a powerful, revelatoryword from God.
Everything God is doing rightnow in this hour is about

(41:01):
alignment.

Speaker 2 (41:03):

Speaker 1 (41:09):
Getting ourselves aligned with Him.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
E nós estar alinhados nele.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
And getting ourselves aligned with each other.
Both of these things areabsolutely essential if we're
going to reach billions.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Essas duas coisas é essencialmente necessária se
vamos estar alcançando bilhõesde pessoas.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
If you align with people but not with God, you
can't get nothing done withoutGod.
But if you align with God, hewill always expect you to align

(42:03):
with people.
You do not get a free passbecause you have a relationship
with God.

Speaker 2 (42:14):

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Just because you think you have a relationship
with God does not give you aright to bypass relationships
with God's people.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
The partnership of faith iscritical for reaching billions.
A partnership with people.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
And a partnership with God.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
Neither one of those can be neglected.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
And I'm so thankful that God sent Sister Helen to us
today to remind us about thenecessity of aligning with him
and hearkening to his voice.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Sister Helen.

Speaker 1 (43:20):
Before we wrap this up, and I make announcements and
all the things Sister Robinettedoesn't like.

Speaker 2 (43:37):

Speaker 1 (43:44):
I want to ask you to pray over this global apostolic
mentoring family and speakwhatever word of faith the Lord
has put in your spirit to speak.

família de mentoria apostólica.
I want to ask you to pray aboutthis apostolic family of
mentoring and release all theblessings and words that you put
in your spirit to speak Amen.

Speaker 3 (44:08):

That you open our hearts, our minds.

Speaker 3 (44:35):

and then let us lock hands witheach other to advance your
kingdom in your way.
God, don't let us go one moreday thinking we know best let us
fall on our face before youtoday.

Speaker 2 (44:56):

Speaker 3 (45:01):
Let us fall on our face before you today, God.

Speaker 2 (45:05):

and obey to you.

sua voz, mas ouvir, obedecer eresponder.

But also link up with our brothers and our sisters to
see your will and your waysadvance throughout the entire
world.

Speaker 2 (45:30):

Speaker 3 (45:39):
Help the kingdom grow by your word, in your direction
, in your instruction.
Let us have an open heart andreceive whatever it is you have
for us this day.

an open heart to receiveeverything you have prepared for
