Hello and welcome to this Christmasy special.
So I couldn't sleep and I wrotea short story about an
alternative celebration in aworld far, far away from here we
go.
Jello hung from every lamppostand flowed along the buses.

(00:22):
The place always left snelterfeeling queasy.
As a child, snelter had beenrescued from the planet of
Rindonium, a beautiful placethat had once flowed with clean

(00:47):
water back before the war haddestroyed it.
Here on Slimedonia, most thingswere sticky.
The Slimedonians had 75different words for slime, which
came in many textures, tastesand colours.
Slime, which came in manytextures, tastes and colours.

(01:09):
Snelter never got used to beingsticky, but loved the people.
Her salvation was a rock poolat the top of Slogusha Hill.
The place had no slime on itand so only Snelter and a few
rare moths ever went there.
The water was clean and heated,fire and underground volcano.
Once a year, as people startedto huddle around the fire, the

planet celebrated the holiday ofslime.
Brazian Sticky dishes and slimewere the main themes.
The night before there wasalways a pilgrimage to the
source, an old scene, a flowerknown as Stinkernoosh.
Stinkernoosh granted one wish ayear to anyone who acted in an

authentic kind way.
Come Snelter, her mother called.
We must all do this.
You only have today to findyour answer.
A selfless axe snelt her foot.
There just isn't one thingbesides.
I hate slime.
Later, as she joined thepilgrimage, she felt confused,
yet her heart filled with lovefor her family the moment she
reached Stinkanusha's base.

So she decided to tell theflower everything.
A while later, stinkernooshnodded down at her, lit up and
dropped a small seed into herhands.
Stinkernoosh chose you, mother,exclaimed.

(02:42):
Heaven knows why.
Snelta replied.
That night Snelta planted theseed carefully in a pot.
Next to her bed slept aspaceship pilot landed nearby

(03:04):
from a distant, peaceful planetin search of weird and wonderful
new places to explore.
Soon she would learn that thepilot loved water too, but also
relished the feel of slime underhis feet.

Neither of them knew it, but onthis very slime-bashing eve
they would be destined for greatlove.
