Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, dear listeners , and welcome to this week's
show.
I feel like there's so muchgoing on in people's lives,
whether it's the people that Icome into connection with at the
moment and so many people Ifeel are also going through such
a hard time.
It's quite a demanding time ofyear as it is for the run-up to

(00:21):
the holiday seasons.
It can be a very hectic andbusy time.
But besides that kind of levelof things, there's things going
on a very much deeper level.
For those of you who have lostpeople, I always think holiday
times can be a difficult time.

(00:41):
And then there's those of youwho are going through things
where you might be losingsomeone, someone's sick, etc.
Stepping back from the, thesadness of that, and also there
may be listeners here who aren'tgoing through that there is.

(01:02):
This is a time of massivetransition massive and it almost
feels like it's been atomicthis year as we come out of the
Scorpio and at the weekend we'llbe coming into the fiery,
sparky Sagittarius new moon.
As we come out of the deep andsometimes brutal, but also I

(01:34):
feel like scorpio digs stuff outwhich is difficult, but then by
doing that it helps with otherstuff.
So by digging deep through thescorpio time you come out with
the sparks of kind of joy forthe sagittarius time, where it's
it's a fire, but it's a kind oflighter fire signs in many ways
and can be.
Some may see it's immature, butit I'd say is useful, is a

(01:55):
better description of of thattime.
But so what?
There's all these things cominginto factor, so the changing,
changing into the new moon, intoSagittarius.
The difficulty of this time ofyear is we're in the vata dosha,
which in the Ayurvedic systemis a combination of air and also

(02:16):
a combination of ether.
So it's very creative.
But also in many ways we feel abit kind of suppressed and and
kind of stuck.
Or there's this energy that'skind of sizzling and it doesn't
know quite what to do and wekind of dive into stuff that we
may not necessarily want to aswe we end up exploring that in

(02:40):
ourself, which can feeldifficult, I completely
understand.
So how does this podcast helpyou?
As always, I ask my listenersnever listen to anything blindly
and take what you want from it.
Some things you'll agree, somethings you may not agree, and
that's absolutely fine.
If we all agreed on the samethings, it would be a boring

(03:00):
world.
But what can one do during thistime?
First of all, the biggest thingthat you can do is have a
massive kind of Santa sack ofcompassion to yourself and to
other people.
We're all doing our best as wenavigate through this.
There can be so manymisunderstandings because we're
all kind of dealing with our ownpain in many ways and then we

(03:25):
see the lens of the life throughour own experiences and stuff.
So step into the present momentas much as you can, try and
have less assumptions.
So we assume people are actinga certain way for a certain
reason, or we assume that peopleare thinking a certain way and
it's not always the case.
And I think the key to that isconscious conversations where

(03:49):
you kind of slow down, youlisten to each other and you tap
into that spirit withinyourself, your higher self, and
you try and communicate to theirhigher self.
Try not to assume, try not tomake assumptions.
Boundaries where you need toput boundaries, don't let people
just walk all over.
You try and find a way tonavigate through things that

(04:11):
helps you, and the tools in yourkit box can be things like
holisticness in a sense and Iknow that word sometimes can be
a bit corny.
People say, oh, holistic.
But anything can becomeholistic.
The way we wash our dishes canbecome holistic.
The way we go throughout ourday can become holistic.

(04:32):
To me, holistic means being inthe present moment.
I'm coming from our highestself and seeing this great big
picture rather than this narrowvision that we have of the world
in so many ways.
And we are not meant to be allhappy and perfect all the time.
That is a kind of strangefantasy in many ways.

(04:54):
We're not meant to be miserableall the time either.
We are like the seasons we'rehappy and we can be sad.
It's kind of when we linger toomuch in a particular season
that it can feel overwhelmingand we can get stuck.
So allow that kind of flow ofwho you are and what you're
going through to be, but at thesame time, realize that you are

(05:17):
beyond the person who isobserving you.
I'll repeat that you are beyondthe person that is observing
you.
So when you observe yourself inmeditation, can you step back
from that even further?
Can you use the breath?
Can you use a deeper sense ofwell-being?

(05:38):
Can you make healthier habits?
Can you do micro habits whichare going to help you on your
way?
Can you Dary in time to findstillness?
Just be Dary in time to allowyourself to be bored.
Try to resist the temptationswhich try and drag us out of
boredom, but can you allowyourself to be bored every now

(06:00):
and again because suchcreativity can flow from that
space if we don't pack our brainin like an overpacked pillow
with too many kind of filling, and allow some space for the air
, the movement, the breath, andallow ourselves to flow and be
and then see how that unfoldsfor you, on this magical journey

(06:23):
, this wonderful journey calledlife, which is so different and
so transitional in so many ways, and stepping out of anything
that's keeping us stuck andagain, consciousness is a key to
that.
Try new things, micro habits.
Don't always take the easyoption, which I know life is so

(06:46):
tough these days, but theeasiest option isn't always the
best option.
Think long-term plans in linewith the goals that you wish to
have, but also have a bit ofkind of fluidness to that,
because you don't just make aplan and it just falls into
place.
It's the journey into where youfeel like you need to get to,

(07:07):
and sometimes you may stop thatjourney and think that's where
you want to be, but when you getto the destination it might not
necessarily be where you wantto be, but maybe it was
necessary, maybe it wasn't.
There is.
It isn't a cut and dry answer, but I think nothing is ever a
waste if we kind of try and gowherever we're going from our

(07:31):
highest self, from a place ofstillness, and then we're
deciding on what road to take.
So enjoy your transition intoSagittarius and get that spark
back into your life as we comeinto the holiday, seasonal month
of December and enjoy, slowdown.

(07:56):
Remember that you don't have toget every piece of work out of
your inbox or the world will end.
Sometimes we can put thisridiculous pressure.
Just do your best and that'sall that you ever need to do in
life.
So here, as always, is ameditation inspired by today's
show.
Top tips for the meditation iseither sit nice and cross-legged

(08:19):
on the floor with a nicestraight back always nice to sit
on a block or a cushion, orthat's not available for you.
You sit in a chair with theback nice and straight.
The important thing is you'renot slouching and if you're
doing something that requiresyour concentration, all you need
to do is just pause this andyou can reconvene the meditation
at a time that is good for you.

(08:41):
If you're doing the meditation, let's begin as you close your
eyes.
You imagine that you see a room, and at first the room is in
darkness, a calming, safedarkness, and you're sitting in
this room with your eyes closed, this imaginary room room, and

(09:21):
suddenly, as the moon just lookslike, it disappears and it
becomes a new moon of life.
So what is the spark?
And at first that spark doesn'tcome.
You can just stay there a bitlonger and allow that feeling of

(09:45):
what that spark is, and if youhave your spark after this
meditation, you can write thisdown and you can build from that
and just see how you can kindof navigate through this month
with that spark.

(10:06):
Let's, though, stay in thismindfulness place a bit longer.
So you're glowing with a light, you emanate your highest self,
your highest purpose, but toremind yourself and to connect
back to that regularly, you usethe tool of your breath.
As you slowly inhale, youslowly exhale, and with joy, a

(10:30):
sense of calmness, a sense ofbeing.
You continue to come back tothe moment Every time your mind
wanders off.
You just come back to themoment through a slow, calm,
deep and loving breath, and youcan continue with that slow,

(10:50):
calm, deep and loving gentlebreath for as long as you wish
to.
If you're in a bit of a hurry, then just come back into the
moment.
Come back into the now.
Thank you.
