Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning
everybody, or good afternoon or
good evening, and welcome tothis edition of Awakened
Conscious Conversations podcast.
As always, I'm your host, theGentle Yoga Warrior, and we have
done this season guest free.
I've really enjoyed theseone-to-one sessions with
(00:22):
yourself.
In case you didn't know, Ifollow a fairly shamanic path.
The shamanism that was from theUK.
I can't comment on shamanismelsewhere as I've not really
studied it, but I have studiedthe shamanism from the UK and I
(00:44):
have always had thisfascinatingly deep connection
with plants and nature.
And I had a really profoundexperience of the day, for I was
um on a walk and there was thisrobin and, yeah, robins are
social creatures in many ways.
They're not really that scaredof us or they don't appear to be
(01:05):
.
Um, I'm no robin expert, thisis just talking from my
experience um, they're veryterritorial, like they will
defend their area etc.
But they're also friendly, Ifind.
And this robin just stopped andit just stared.
We just had, we just stared ateach other for ages and it
looked really relaxed and wejust had like this moment for
each other for ages and itlooked really relaxed and we
(01:25):
just had like this moment forabout 10 minutes where we were
just like, um, just looking ateach other and kind of being.
And for me, when I see robin, Ialways feel like it's like one
of my ancestors and, forwhatever reason, they've kind of
shape shifted into thatcreature, kind of shape shift
(01:50):
into that creature, and robinseems to do it for me.
I, I, whenever I see robin, Ialways feel that and I sometimes
feel like the nature and theanimals that we see are like
little messages from theuniverse to let us know we're on
the right track and it was aday where I could have done with
this particular ancestor.
Um, there's been, unfortunately,a lot of death around at the
(02:12):
moment and that's what it's likeand I understand this.
One starts to get a bit olderI'm not even particularly that
old but then the generationabove kind of start to go away
and it kind of makes you realizethat we should appreciate the
frailty of our existence.
And this this is a big shoutout out to any of you are going
(02:37):
through that and just to let youknow that I'm sending you lots
of love and healing.
But on the plus side, I feellike we are forever, in a sense,
that we will leave, and again,we all have different views.
If I'm saying something and youfeel I really don't agree with
you, I really don't expect youto, it's all about you having
your personal experience of thislife and your beliefs, and I
(03:01):
think there's there's more, there's the ability to have more
than one truth.
So but my feeling is that wedon't go completely like our
body as we know it right nowgoes, but not not our soul, and
and we either go on to anotherlife or we go on to another
realm.
That bit is.
(03:23):
It is kind of very debatable aswell around different people and
some people think once you'redead, you're dead, etc.
But I feel like we always welive on in some way and some
capacity and that the universeoften presents all these kind of
little clues to to let us knowthat we're on the right track.
(03:44):
So if you sometimes seesequences of things or I don't
know, like for me I see littlestar things, like those um
things you get on wrapping inreally random places, and that's
when I've been thinking andasking a question.
Other people see feathers, which is quite a common one.
(04:05):
It might be something elsecompletely, but I would say,
just look over the next year andjust see when you've seen signs
and they'll be individual toyou and your individual path and
where you are headed.
And life is beautiful but it'salso harsh at time and, as I've
(04:29):
said before, many people feelparticularly triggered at this
time of year.
As I'm recording this podcast, you might not be hearing it at
this time of year, but it is aweek till Christmas and a lot of
people can start to miss and wekind of put pressures on the
expectations of where we shouldbe by now, especially as the
(04:50):
loom of a new year is about tobe kind of put together and
where we kind of thread throughwhat we wish to achieve and do.
Listen back to the podcast Idid last January where I was
saying that we've set these newyear's resolutions.
But setting all these newyear's resolutions without kind
(05:14):
of a clear structure is going tobe very difficult to achieve,
not impossible, very difficult.
Focus on one thing and makesteps towards that each day.
And then sometimes I can feel abit hard when you try to make
step towards things and thenthings happen like a family
event or something unexpected, and it kind of can throw us off,
(05:36):
especially if it's somethingemotional and difficult, where
there's someone that you knowthat you care about is hurting
in some way or isn't very well,or there's stuff that needs to
be done which has to takepriority over you yourself.
But I'm learning this throughlife no one else is going to
take priority over you exceptyourself, and there will always
(06:00):
be things that are trying topull you away.
I get that all the time.
I have like such a shortattention span and I don't know
if it's to do with my dyslexicmind, but I can be easily
distracted and also part of methinks that society, because I'm
a woman, I'm not paying thewoman card, but I think
sometimes society thinks that mytime is not as valuable as the
(06:22):
rest of the time, and I'veallowed that in many ways.
Um, like my, I've got a reallysupportive and caring partner
who really encourages me, and Ihave a loving family around me,
which is which is a good thingto have.
But there's always things thatare kind of going to kind of
pull you off.
And also, like I find, ifyou're in a stage in your
(06:44):
business where it's not reallykind of turning over like a
profit or things like that, ormaybe sometimes it is, or maybe
sometimes you're really busy, but it's so easy to kind of just
think, well, why bother today?
Why bother?
And it's it's kind of catchingthose micro habits where you,
you do that and and this is whymy show is, this is relevant
(07:07):
even if you're in employment andyou're trying to achieve
something outside of your job oreven something within your job,
or there's something you'retrying to achieve for yourself
that's not work related.
It's so easy to kind of fallinto that trap, and especially
when I said, like I said, we goif you're going through
difficult times.
So I was trying to piece thistogether because I thought I
(07:29):
really would like to help people, having kind of lived and
experienced this.
And sometimes, when we're tryingto, really sometimes you can go
through periods where thingsjust do not move and you've
tried everything, you'vesurrendered to the universe,
you've put the action in, you'vemade steps and this thing still
(07:52):
may not happen in the timingthat you want.
So what is the antidote to this?
Well, for one, it's celebratingthe small wins.
It's celebrating the small wins.
Each and every one has got ourown fate, our own path, and
there's free will which we cankind of change.
(08:12):
But I also think there's somethings that maybe it is part of
your path to experience certainthings.
But equally, we can changethings that we do not like, and
the way we can do that is bymaking small wins.
So like just thinking, oh, Idon't know, maybe you're trying
to create a masterpiece andyou've tried and no one's taken
(08:35):
any notice and you've tried andtried and tried.
Well, why don't you try andbreak that masterpiece down into
something?
I'm trying to I'm talking a bitkind of wide here because I'm
trying to bring in maybe whatyour masterpiece is.
It could be anything, so tryand break it down and then just
try and go for small wins.
(08:56):
And I was listening to a talk byuh, please forgive me, but the
wonderful actor who played thewizard the um for this, the
second wizard in Harry Potterand he was saying that do things
because you love it and becauseit helps, makes you be, become
(09:18):
and grows your soul, and that'sall that we can do.
Right, we can't.
If you've tried everything andthings aren't working, but it's
something we really love, thendo it to become, become yourself
or you, just because you neverknow, the next day a little
spark but could come from theuniverse to kind of change
(09:41):
things all around.
And I also use the example, Iused something.
It really said that van goghkind of never got any
recognition in his life whenwhen he was alive.
But just think if he hadn't, ifhe just thought I'm not going
to try, then the world wouldnever have got to experience his
beautiful paintings for therest of their life.
And we're not.
(10:01):
Of course we're not all goingto be a van Gogh, but what kind
of masterpiece can you maketoday?
And it doesn't have to be likesomething big, but just
something beautiful.
But can you do it to becomerather than to try and and be
something?
Of course we want to try and besomething, but can you enjoy
the process?
(10:21):
If you look back at all thosegreat um poets, those romantic
poets and stuff and okay, someof them are from aristocratic
families, but but they werestill a lot of them didn't have
very much money and they justlived for their art and they
just lived to be and that wastheir kind of sole intention and
(10:44):
through that again they leftbeautiful poetry for generations
to read and to share andremember.
Beauty is in the eye of theperceiver.
So one books, one person maylove and another person may hate
, and there are so many booksthat are brilliant that haven't
been published.
(11:04):
There's so many books that arebrilliant that have been
published.
There's so many pieces of artthat people have done that are
unknown, that never got famous, and then there's so many pieces
of art that were brilliant andpeople did get famous.
So it's not necessarily a levelof your talent, but it's a lot
of things your self-belief, butalso fate, free will, and so
(11:28):
many things, and so many things.
So if there's things that wedon't have control over, I
suggest to you, dear listener,do it, to feel, to become, to
allow yourself to be.
And if you don't know what todo, I really highly recommend it
.
The book called the Writer'sWay by Julia Cameron I think
(11:52):
I've said the same name, right, but it's not all about writing,
because not everyone's a writerbut we are at the same time but
it helps to kind of build thatspark.
It's a really spiritual bookthat helps to build that spark
on your spiritual path.
So check it out.
So thank you, you for listening.
And here is today's meditation.
(12:14):
Top tips for the meditation iseither sit nice and cross-legged
on the floor with a nicestraight back, always nice to
sit on a block or a cushion?
Well, that's not available foryou.
You sit in a chair with theback nice and straight.
The important thing is you'renot slouching, and if you're
doing something that requires alittle concentration, all you
(12:34):
need to do is just pause thisand you can reconvene the
meditation at a time that isgood for you.
If you're doing the meditation, let's begin.
In times where we feel helpless, where we may not be able to
help people who are sick orgoing through things, we can
send them some energetic loveand support, and that we can
(12:55):
ascend in an abundance.
So, as always, you're going tosit with a nice tall spine, if
that is possible for you, andyou can even sit.
If you're used to sitting onthe floor and you've got the
strength to do that, by allmeans do so.
If not, you can sit on astraight back chair and then
just close the eyes, take somecalm, deep inhalations, calm,
(13:17):
deep exhalations, and thismeditation let's begin.
So, using your imagination, youare now in this magical cave.
What is so beautiful andspectacular about this cave is
that it is filled with beautifulcrystals and beautiful jewels,
(13:41):
but the ground is like an earthykind of red, richy, earthy
concoction, and it is sogrounding, it's like iron kind
of that groundy kind of feel toit and you are sitting here
calmly and it's creating thiskind of like circly labyrinth
(14:03):
shape in your imagination.
And as you sit there on theearth, you kind of feel the
heartbeat, feel it through yourfeet, echoing right through your
entire being.
(14:23):
And the rhythm may be differentfor everyone, that's fine.
You will find the rhythm that'sright for you.
And as you sit there, youbreathe and you bring in some
calming, peaceful energy.
(14:44):
So you feel that energy comeinto your body via the prana,
the life force of oxygen, bringing rich oxygen, rich blood
to the whole of your body, coming into your body through
(15:09):
the breath and into your anahatachakra, which is the heart
center.
So you can place one hand inthe center of your chest,
slightly towards the left, andthe other hand on your navel and
you can begin to breathe andyou connect the energy of this
cave ground, which couldsymbolize mother earth, and the
(15:36):
energy of the cave ceiling, which could symbolize father sky
, and you're bringing thatenergy into your being.
And even if this is a littlebit off the wall for you, stick
with me.
So you're feeling this energycoming into the body.
You're feeling the breath, thislife force, so you kind of
(15:57):
start to illuminate with thislife force of energy.
And then in your imagination, there's someone sitting with
their back to you, in front ofyou, and that can be the loved
one, the person, or even a place, a country where you wish to
send healing.
(16:17):
This will be personal to you.
Whoever pops into your mind asyou place your hand on their
shoulder.
Imagine that from your heartcenter, you are sending them
energy of love, support andhealing and you take some
(16:38):
breaths and as you breathe, asyou breathe that energy of
(17:00):
healing into that other person, someone has placed their hand on
your shoulder and they aresending you healing, all the
healing that you need.
So as you give healing, you arereceiving healing.
And the way that everyone'ssitting in this kind of maze of
a circle, there's not one personthat isn't giving and receiving
.
So then the balance of theuniverse is in perfect balance
(17:39):
of this giving and also thestrength to deal with when
unpositive emotions come theirway, because that is a natural
part of life as well.
So you're giving them thathealing, that strength, through
your breath.
As you send it, beam it outinto the universe, out into that
person and, in turn, someone isbeaming it into your being and
(18:01):
we are so much more connectedconnected than we believe.
So, instead of sending fear toother people, can you send joy,
love, elevation, strength andhealing and, in turn, allow
(18:22):
yourself to receive, as someonesends it to you.
So take a nice deep inhalation,a nice deep exhalation and
without speaking to them well, rob, without them turning around
, and then without the person infront of you turning around or
you turning around, just saythank you and then send that
(18:46):
thank you to the person in frontand then feel that energy go
back to the person behind you.
So, again, everyone's sayingthank you, giving and receiving
equally.
And then suddenly you findyourself on your feet, the cave
is now empty, and then youslowly come up the stairs out of
the cave back into youreveryday life, into your
(19:10):
everyday world, knowing byspending a few moments each day
you can send healing and, inturn, receive healing and we
could do this on a global scalesending joy, love and happiness.
So slowly come back into themoment, come back into the room
and go about your day, evening, whatever time it is.
(19:33):
You're listening to this withthat magnificent energy that you
gave and received in balance.
Thank you, dear listener.
Thank you so much.
