Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, sweet friends,
my name is Chef Schaumburg.
I started my baking businesswith the bottle of DeCerono and
one Bundt Cake Pan.
Fast forward to today, fromnews to magazines, speaking on
national stages and more.
I can truly say that baking haschanged my life.
So now, as a bakery businesscoach, I get to help others have
the same success.
I've helped hundreds of mystudents across the world in my
(00:24):
global membership program createsix-figure businesses, mainly
from home.
The Baking for Business podcastis an extension of that, from
actionable tips to valuabletools and resources that can
impact you as a business owner.
I truly believe y'all.
We would never have been givena gift if we couldn't profit and
prosper from it.
So come on, darling.
What are you waiting for?
(00:45):
Hey you guys, and welcome to mypodcast party.
Woohoo, I love having parties.
I had a party when we made ithere, and today is very special
because a little while ago I waswaiting on the time to actually
(01:07):
share with you guys, but wereached the 100,000 download
mark and for me that is amazing.
It's definitely a big milestoneto reach in podcasting and it's
just the beginning.
I've only been doing this alittle over a year, but to reach
that mark I'm truly gratefuland humble and excited, and so
today's podcast episode is goingto be really short, just
(01:27):
because I have a few things thatI want to discuss with you guys
.
So it's a party, come on in.
It's a party slash meeting.
I mean.
It's a party because I'mexcited, I'm hyped, but it's a
meeting because we're here totalk and address some things,
and so just a few things.
I don't see the podcast changingmuch.
That's the first thing.
There are two changes, but Ithink you guys are going to love
(01:50):
them.
So the first is that I amaccepting feedback from all of
you.
As I reach 100,000 downloads.
I realized I could not do thatwithout the help, without the
love, without the support of youguys, who share this podcast.
You send it to a friend, youtag me on Instagram and your
(02:11):
stories, and I love it when youguys are listening to the
episodes, and so one way to justmake sure that you guys are
being heard is I actuallycreated a feedback form.
It only takes 30 seconds, realquick, but it's just making sure
that I'm taking care of youguys, because I have a heart to
serve, and that's what thispodcast is really all about
(02:32):
showing up every week whetherit's me or an amazing guest that
we've had on the podcast andjust finding a way to talk about
our business in a whole.
One of the greatest commentsthat I got from someone was that
I love that you always talkabout the mindset of why we
struggle with what we strugglewith.
(02:53):
And I do that because it's soimportant, because too often
we're running businesses and wedon't address ourselves as a
whole.
You know, you're a whole humanthat has your own goals
spiritual goals, financial goalsand being a business owner is
just a part of that.
And also, if we don't celebratethe ups and downs, if we don't
(03:14):
talk about the ups and downs andreally, truly the reasons
behind them, we won't get betteras a person or as a business
owner and we won't grow strongeras a community.
And so, to make sure that I'mdoing my part in doing that, if
you look in the show notes ofthis episode, wherever you're
listening, there's a feedbackform, and the reason why I put
(03:34):
it there is simply so that youguys and it'll stay there also
you guys can just tell me whatyou want.
I make sure that I'm servingyou to the best of my ability
and also that we're bringingguests.
If there's anyone who you knowin your community who is an
amazing home baker, storefrontowner, trailer cupcake person
(03:56):
I've seen it all you know let meknow.
Fill out that form.
You can provide feedback andlet's make sure we get their
stories shared.
I also always wanted, when Ienvision this podcast, I always
wanted it to be diverse and tohave a form of inclusivity, and
I feel like we've hit that onthe head.
We've had so many different menand women from amazing
(04:21):
backgrounds, amazingnationalities, different regions
all across the world.
You guys listen all across theworld and I'm grateful for that,
and so let's keep that up.
And then the second change isyou may notice the cover has
changed a little bit, but youmight have.
I don't want you being like, ohLord, she made her face bigger.
(04:42):
What is Chef Sean Burke do?
No, I promise it's not that,it's not all about me.
When I first made the podcast, Ihad a time limit and I didn't
reach my time limit, so I hadcreated the old cover on my own,
but I did Take the professionalphoto I share.
In the past even I strugglewith putting this podcast out
(05:04):
there, and so to see the successthat it has reached really
warms my heart.
But to treat myself, I said I'mgonna update my podcast cover
and so if you look at the covernow, don't look at it if you're
driving.
But the cover now is reallyspecial to me for one reason
because, if you notice, there'sa lot of little emblems in the
(05:24):
background and Little icons andthat, to me, is all of you guys,
and so to celebrate that's.
The only Change is that I gotthe cover professionally done.
Number one and number two eachlittle item represents one of
you guys.
So I'm looking at it right now.
There's a Bread, there's somechocolates, there's a rolling
(05:45):
pin, there's a pretzel, there'scroissants, there's a cupcake,
there's a whisk, and it kind oflooks like they repeat but
really they don't as it curvesaround like different little
things just pop out.
There's even lettuce, like evena little curl, like a slice of
cheese, because there are somany people in the Charcuterie
(06:06):
industry who actually listenthey tell me all the time there
are people with food trucks whoactually listen this I wanted
all of you guys to berepresented and so just take
this cover, as I wish I can giveall you guys a hug.
I really do, but this is just away of going forward, saying I
want to make sure that I carryevery single person With me.
It doesn't matter if you makeup macaroon, it doesn't matter
(06:30):
what you made, I just want tomake sure that you're
represented and I hope I'm doingmy part in doing that, and so
that's what this new cover meansto me.
And obviously, because the introalways talks about how I
started my business with thepound cake, I thought I may as
well actually hold a piece ofcake, and so this is just
celebration cake.
(06:50):
I hope you enjoy it with me.
Whatever you're baking thisweek, tag me in it.
If you want to sayCongratulations to me, I greatly
appreciate it.
Please do so, because Icouldn't be here without you
guys and I really really doappreciate you guys going
forward, like I stated, thefeedback form less than 30
(07:12):
seconds.
Please fill it out so that Ican make sure I am putting your
needs first.
The change cover that's it.
The only other thing.
There may be some ads on thepodcast going forward, and
that's about all, because it'sfree for you guys to listen.
But if there are othercompanies out there that have
products and services and thingsthat can help and pour into you
(07:33):
guys, then I would love forthem to have a safe space and a
platform to share.
And so that's it.
That is all for today's episode.
Like I said, I don't want to cryif you go on and on.
I really do.
Thank you guys for the movingback.
I appreciate all of you guys.
If you're not following me onInstagram, please do so, because
(07:55):
I share daily motivation andjust tips and inspiration there,
so you can tag me on Instagramat BakingCoreBusiness.
I do have a special thingthat's going to be coming out
this weekend, but I'll sharethat with you guys later to
celebrate the podcast.
But other than that, keeplistening, keep growing, but
more than anything, fill outthat form and let me know what
(08:17):
you need so that going forward,I can 1,000% make sure that
you're getting it Alright.
Thanks so much, all of you guys, for listening.
I pray you have a blessed week.
To end this with one of myfavorite scriptures, john 14.
Let not your heart be troubled.
(08:37):
Believe in God, but believealso in me and by me I don't
mean me as Amanda, but that'sjust what the scripture says.
But just don't want you guys tobe troubled about anything as
we grow our business.
I know sometimes it could berocky.
There are a lot of ups anddowns.
Just continue to keep the faith, continue to believe.
I'm going to continue tobelieve in you guys and keep
(08:58):
showing up week after week sothat I can serve you.
Alright, take care and bye fornow.
