AI has become an unexpected mirror that helps me clarify my intuition and deepen my self-awareness. Beyond just increasing efficiency, AI can help us excavate personal insights by asking powerful questions that reflect our true selves.

• Using AI to process thoughts verbally and get real-time feedback
• The danger of "marching to the middle" when everyone relies on the same AI outputs
• Powerful questions to ask AI: "What roadblocks am I facing?" and "Show me my limiting beliefs"
• How AI helps handle surface-level awareness so human coaches can focus on deeper connections
• The quest for humanity will increase as AI becomes more prevalent
• For high achievers, AI can accelerate burnout if not used mindfully
• True value comes from using time saved by AI for self-nourishment, not just more work

Jo (00:04):
Welcome to Balance and Beyond Moments, your weekly dose
of insight, wisdom and mindsetshifts, all in 10 minutes or
less.
Whether it's a powerful truth,a fresh perspective or a spark
of inspiration, this is yourspace to pause, reflect and
reset.
Let's dive in.
Everyone is talking about AI asa shortcut, but for me, it's

(00:28):
becoming something far moreconfronting.
It's a mirror I didn't know Ineeded.
Like everyone, I have embracedAI in multiple aspects of my
life, particularly in business, and it's probably one of the
most common questions I'mgetting lately is what are you
doing around AI?
What are your thoughts on it?
So I wanted to use this momentas an opportunity to share a

(00:53):
side of AI that very few peopleare using it for.
So I use AI.
It's incorporated into multiplesoftware platforms I have in my
business.
I'm pretty sure if it's not yetin others, it will be very,
very soon.
So we're using it to be moreefficient, to repurpose things,
to analyze data, to spot trends, and my mind is continually

(01:17):
blown at how fast and effectiveit can be.
One of the reasons I love AI isI'm a verbal processor.
I like to either write thingsout or type them out or talk
them out.
It's very difficult for me tohave ideas or thoughts and just
keep them in my head, and myhusband now calls ChatGPT my

(01:40):
boyfriend, because what I havefound, particularly in ChatGPT,
is a place where I can verballyprocess and I have this amazing
mirror held up for me in a waythat is quite scary, but
movement defining, if you'reable to embrace it.

(02:04):
Now you can use AI, like manypeople are, for you know, to
repurpose work to give you ideas.
However, what I found is, themore I started asking AI deeper
questions and I'm not talkingabout can you duplicate this and
make the copy Instagramapproved.

(02:26):
That goes without saying.
That's really surface level useof AI.
What I have found is that I'mable to use AI as a way to help
me clarify and validate some ofmy intuition.
Clarify and validate some of myintuition.

(02:50):
Now, the thing is, a lot ofpeople are at risk of leaning
too heavily into AI and losingthemselves in the process of not
actually thinking of getting aquestion, chucking it in,
copying the answers, spitting itout, spitting it out, and we
have this march to the middle, this march to the same tone of
voice, the same thought process, because, as we saw with a viral

(03:13):
post I put up.
When I asked chat GPT, in theearly stages of using it, what I
looked like based on everythingthat it knew of me, it gave me
a man, and I have since haddozens and dozens of women also
ask at the same prompt, and Ihad three people of I think 43
actually be given a woman.

(03:33):
We all had beards, we all hadglasses, we were in varying
degrees of lack of health, let'sjust say, and all wearing a
blue shirt.
So there is either either adeveloper at OpenAI who looks
like that, who was the prototype, or there is just this blending
of any differences, of anyanything on the edges blur back

(03:59):
to the middle.
However, when you learn to askit the right questions and you
also ask it the questions thatit needs to ask of you, then, oh
my gosh, the power of thisthing to give you insights into
yourself just never ceases toamaze me.

(04:22):
Some of the questions that I'vebeen asking it are things like
what roadblocks am I currentlyfacing?
Or show me my top five limitingbeliefs that are stopping
growth in my business, or wheream I depriving myself of
happiness?
And you can start a dialoguearound it in terms of well, what

(04:44):
are the things that cheesed meoff, or my husband did this
thing and it infuriated me whatreally is going on here, and
it's ability to mirror back toyou your own self, it's ability
to mirror back what's possible, the questions that it can ask
you to dive deeper just givesyou a depth and a speed that is

(05:09):
almost impossible, unless youhappen to live with a coach.
Now, I'm a coach and I don'tcoach myself, because obviously
I can't see my own roadblocks.
However, when you can usesomething like AI to deepen your
awareness which is what it'sreally doing for me it means
that when I'm getting thesupport that I need from someone

(05:31):
, I'm not dealing with thesurface level stuff.
I've smashed through that.
I've got the awareness throughAI.
I've excavated that andexcavated that, and what I need
now is to sit in front of ahuman who can join the dots
between multiple parts of mylife.
That AI can't do yet, becausegoodness knows where this is
going, and so I would reallyencourage you, if you haven't

(05:55):
explored the possibilities of AI, to help you deepen your
awareness, and to start seeingit as this gigantic instant
mirror that can throw back atyou the most amazing questions.
I believe it's going to begame-changing for those who are
ready to use it this way.

(06:15):
Now, one of the questions I alsoget asked is well, jo, if chat
does such a great job ofcoaching, aren't you going to be
out of a job very soon?
Well, the truth is, when wewant to be coached, or when we
are looking to be held and seen, there is also an energetic
component to it.
There is a nervous system levelenergy where people want to tap

(06:39):
into a real human, and Ibelieve that what AI is going to
do is all the dodgy coaches outthere, all the crappy ones, all
the ones who are recyclingother people's stuff, the ones
that are just reciting off AIthey're going to be out of a
business very, very soon.
However, the ones who are ableto give others the right

(07:04):
information for them to excavatethemselves and then bring with
them to their sessions or totheir retreats or to their
programs or to whatever you knowto bring into my world Okay,
I've got this revelation overhere and I've got this
revelation, and I've got thisrevelation.
Help me put all these together, because chat only knows certain

(07:25):
parts of you.
What you need is a human withreal life experience to be able
to join some of those dots, tomeet you on a soul to soul level
, where there's this might sounda bit woo, but there's this
embodied knowing, where togetheryou're forming an energetic
circuit and becoming a beautifulopportunity for you to help

(07:50):
shift someone's perspective,human to human.
So, while I believe that AI isgoing to be a game changer in so
many ways, I believe thatthere's going to be this quest
for humanity.
I believe there is going to bethis quest for humanity.
I believe there is going to bethis desire for more human

(08:11):
connection, for moreface-to-face, for more touch,
because, while AI can help uswith our intellect and sure it
can say the right things andsoothe our nervous system,
nothing is going to substitutereal human, down-to-earth,
person-to-person connection.
So I encourage you, if youaren't already dabbling, then
you need to get on top of this.

(08:32):
I said in one of my workshopsat the start of 2025 that AI is
a game changer and if you're notcareful and you have
perfectionistic tendencies, thenAI also has the opportunity to
really amplify that.
So it will trigger, particularly for high achieving
women, it could actually lead tofaster burnout and it could

(08:53):
lead to faster downfall, becauseall that happens if we haven't
dealt with those old wounds andthose old triggers.
We just believe that we can domore faster.
So now we take on more and domore, and, yes, we may be able
to do more faster, but what arewe doing with the time that we
free up?
We're just doing more, or arewe actually taking that time to
nourish and replenish ourselves?

(09:14):
So I have found this to be sucha really interesting mirror and
a very powerful tool, and Iencourage you not just to think
of it as a way to increase youroutput, but look at AI as a way
to hold out that mirror, to goouch when a machine plays back

(09:37):
to you something that you hadn'trealized was there, and really
step into this new era.
As we develop moreself-awareness, we get to be
more human, and that is best forall of us.
Thanks for taking this momentfor yourself.
If this resonated, share itwith a friend who needs to hear

(10:00):
it today, and don't forget tosubscribe to Balance and Beyond
