for me and we weren't here thelast week.
(00:29):
We were here but there was somuch going on.
So you know, sometimes life canthrow you a curveball, but it's
always nice to be here.
It's always nice for you guysto join us here on the Real with
Laugh podcast and, yeah, so Ihope you're in, your family are
(00:54):
doing well and all you knowfamily days coming up here and
it's going to be a long weekendas well, as it's my birthday
coming up on Wednesday, which istomorrow.
So you know, I'm grateful tojoin you guys and for everyone
(01:15):
to join us here on the Real withLaugh podcast.
For those of you who are new andjust listening, in, the Real
with Laugh podcast is a motherand daughter podcast and our
co-host is Chanel, but Chanel isnot with us today, so you are
stuck with me Now.
Our episode today is I justwant to talk about you know
(01:37):
you've talked about lifechallenges and when you feel
overwhelmed, you know, andfeeling overwhelmed is something
that sometimes you can't youcan't control it sometimes.
You know what I mean.
Like we try to fight certainfeelings when we're going
through stuff and, mind you, Ihave been going through a lot of
(02:02):
challenges for the last severalweeks and it hasn't been easy
whatsoever.
But you know, you try to remainpositive and have that positive
attitude right.
And you know I'm just one thingwe're looking forward to is our
birthdays, because my daughterbirthday and my birthday is
(02:23):
three days apart, so we arelooking forward to that.
You know Well what do you dowhen you have challenges, one
after the other, and you'refeeling overwhelmed.
I would love to hear from youall of what you do when you're
feeling overwhelmed.
You know it's always good tohave that support system,
(02:44):
someone that you can talk to,and you know, especially if
someone that has gone throughthe same experience or is going
through it, that you can havethat great conversation, that
healthy conversation, becauselife is not easy and mankind is
can be very, very cruel and justvery cold.
(03:08):
And so you know, you see peopleout there and you think that,
oh, they're happy, they haveeverything, and you just don't
know what that person is, whatthat person is going through,
and, especially when you reachcertain age in life, you think
different, you start to thinkdifferent, you start to feel
(03:30):
different and you do thingsdifferently.
Some of the stuff that we usedto take for granted, we don't
anymore.
You know there's this simplestuff.
You know that simple stuff.
You know I always say lovedon't cost a thing, right?
But there's always, therealways will be, challenges.
(03:52):
It's just that sometimes it'sfor a lot of people, it's so
hard when you're backed up oneafter the other, you don't get
time to come up for air, right, you want to do things, you have
goals set and it's almost as ifit has become so hard.
It's like a fight, uphillbattle.
Fight, you know, to achievethat goal because you have to
(04:17):
learn to stand in the storm, andas much as you have to learn to
stand in the storm, sometimesyou in that storm, you literally
feel like you're drowning andthe only thing we have to do is
to hold on to faith.
There are many people out therethat they, their faith is weak
(04:38):
because they become so tired, sotired.
They feel like they fight forevery little thing that they
want to achieve.
It's like an uphill battle andsome people they just become
really emotionally and mentallytired and so you know.
You have the other set ofpeople who they keep going and
(04:59):
they try, you know, but it ishard and I can understand why
some people they just they'retired and they just give up.
They say give up is not anoption.
But you got to be in thatperson's shoes to know what
they're going through, what aretheir circumstances, you know
and how they feel.
(05:21):
If you can't talk to one andlike, talk to a person and they
don't, they've never experiencedwhat you're telling them and
expect for them to understand.
They can hear you but theydon't understand because they've
never been through it andbecause they never been through
it they can't give you advice.
You know some people they'venever gone through it and
(05:44):
they're telling you oh, you know, just don't worry about it,
just this, just that until ithits them and then they can
understand how it feels.
So you know it's.
I'm telling you guys, life isgreat, but in this, in this
society that we live in, youknow, that's where the war zone
(06:08):
is, the society that we live inevery day, that's where the war
zone is and you have to know howto handle yourself and how to
fight, because nobody caresreally, you know, nobody don't
(06:28):
really want to hear your story.
You know what I mean and evenif somebody's listening, they
have their own issues, right.
So for me, I've been just goingthrough some stuff, and it's
just one after the other tohandle this, to take care of
this and stuff.
I mean it's nothing bad, butit's it's.
(06:49):
It can be overwhelming andtiring, especially when you know
you're working for a bettergood, towards a better good.
It's, it's.
It can be challenging, you know, and it's hard, but at the end
of the day I trust God and Godalone, and I know that he's
(07:10):
watching.
He can see what you can't seeand he can hear what we cannot
hear, and he has written ourjourney and we know that God is
always there.
So they always.
My cousin that passed away toldme when you got trouble, don't
cry, just know that God isstanding by, and that is very
(07:34):
true.
But sometimes we feel beatendown.
Sometimes you know some people.
They feel like God hasforgotten them because of how
emotionally broken they are, andI can understand that.
But God never forgets.
He never forgets.
Just remember that God's timingand our timing is different.
(07:59):
Whatever you're out there goingthrough, a change is going to
come, but you got to have thatstrong faith.
You got to bail.
You know and know that God iswatching and it might take a
long to us, because we're sobroken and we so want what we
want, you know, to achieve, thatit feels like forever, but it
(08:23):
really isn't.
It really isn't For those ofyou out there who are going
through stuff.
You know, just hang in therewith faith and prayer.
That's all we got Because youknow, like I said, people can
listen to your story, but dothey really care?
(08:45):
No, you take your burden to God.
You know, take your burden toGod and just have faith and do
it one step at a time In themidst of it all.
For me, I'm trying to do it onehour at a time, you know,
because it's just not easy.
(09:06):
It can be draining too.
It can be draining so in themeantime, when you can look at
yourself in the mirror and tellyourself how wonderful you are,
how beautiful, you are right andyou can achieve.
(09:26):
So, when things hit you hard, don't give up on it, don't?
You know they say, you knowGod's word is.
You know you can be upset, butdon't sin.
Take your time, as I am takingmy time.
I'm taking my time.
I'm not going to sit here andsay to you oh you know, just be
(09:48):
strong.
You know, don't worry about it,and all that.
You are strong in your ownright.
But, as I said, we're notperfect.
We're human and it's not easyto even be strong.
It's a fight of a fight to bestrong in this society that
(10:09):
we're living in.
You know, I'm doing my basementand it has been very, very, very
stressful process, you know, and I had to do a testing and I
don't know how I did yet, buteverything is just sometimes
everything just seems reallyoverwhelming and just seems so
(10:32):
chaotic.
You know, I call it organizedchaos.
But then, as I said, one stepat a time, one step at a time,
at least try that one step at atime, because you can't get
everything done all at once likethat, you know.
(10:53):
So I'm just trying to make itone step at a time, you know,
one step at a time.
And you know, chanel was underthe weather and I have to deal
with that and I'm still dealingwith that Right.
So, guys, I'm telling you, whenyou got trouble, just keep
praying to God.
Just keep praying to God.
(11:15):
Sometimes we pray and we thinkthat it pray will be answered.
You know I want to leave thiswith you that you know God says
to pray and come unto him.
Right, and when you pray, godwill listen to your prayer.
Right, and he will answer yourprayer or he will deny the
(11:39):
prayer.
So listening and accepting istwo different things, as you
know.
You can listen and you hearwhat you're saying.
Right, and accepting yourprayer if he knows it'll benefit
you.
And denying your prayer is ifhe sees that it will not benefit
(12:01):
to what you're praying for, itwon't benefit you.
So, and he has a different planand a better plan.
So so when we pray, it doesn'tmean that it's going to be
answered.
Right, that split second, because God's timing is not our
(12:23):
timing.
And you pray, he will listenand he can accept this
acceptance of the prayer.
There's also denying of theprayer, because God sees what
you don't see and sometimes wepray for things and it doesn't
work out.
We say, ok, god like why, heknows why.
Not to question it, he knowswhy.
(12:43):
So these are the things where Ifocus on.
I look on all the positive andeverything that God has done for
me and my daughter and I takeit from there.
And when something goes wrongand something is like really
making us sad or you know, wetalk about it and we pray about
(13:08):
it.
You know, and I know, that Godis watching.
So, guys, we're living in atime where things can be so
overwhelming and I just want toleave this with you that nothing
beats prayers and to be mindfuland to take good care of
(13:31):
yourself.
You know, it's just, it's beenvery difficult for for us and
we're trying to sort some stuff.
But, like I said, my daughteris under the weather and you
know, I'm just trying to, we'retrying to follow up with that.
So, everyone, thank you, thankyou for joining me here.
(13:53):
You know, always take care ofyourself, take care of your
mental health, your physicalhealth right, and don't let
things get you down.
For those of you out therethat's going through stuff,
it'll pass.
It too, shall pass Trust andbelieve.
We only have one God.
So thank you again for joiningme here.
(14:15):
Have a happy Valentine Day,which is my birthday.
Happy birthday to me.
When it comes, I shall surelyenjoy my day tomorrow, god's
willing, and you know.
Thank you again.
