In this episode of the Behind the Frame Podcast, I had the pleasure of interviewing the talented planner and designer, Troy Williams of Simply Troy. Troy shared insights into his background in event planning, starting with his experience at Warner Brothers before starting his own company, Simply Troy.

We discussed the importance of networking and how he used his vast network (and charm) to launch his business after leaving the corporate world behind in Hollywood. Troy emphasized the significance of building strong relationships with clients and vendors, highlighting the collaborative nature of event planning.

We delved into the behind-the-scenes moments of working on high-profile events, such as Bachelor in Paradise couple, Ashley and Jared's wedding, showcasing the teamwork and dedication required in the industry. We pulled back the curtain and talked about how we met at the Engage Conference in 2017 and went on to work on many projects together.

Troy and I also touched on the importance of mental health and setting boundaries in a demanding profession. Overall, the episode provides valuable insights into the power of networking, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, communication, and building genuine connections with clients and colleagues.

Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
