Before Jesus ever preached a sermon, healed the sick, or performed a miracle, He was declared the beloved Son of God. His identity came before any activity. This moment reminds us that our value isn’t earned—it’s given. Because Jesus is the divine Son of God, we submit to His authority. And as children of God, we live from that same place of belovedness, grounded in our identity and led by the Spirit—even in the wilderness.
