unlock our true potential as women.

to boost self-worth, how they work and how you can integrate them into your daily life.

Section one, why affirmations work.
Let's start with the basics. What exactly are affirmations and why are they so effective?
At their core, affirmations are positive statements that help reprogram the subconscious mind.
(01:33):
They interrupt negative self-talk and replace those destructive thoughts with empowering beliefs.
When practiced consistently, and the key is consistently, affirmations reshape
your inner dialogue which in turn reshapes your outer reality.
Psychologically speaking, affirmations tap into what's known as neuroplasticity.
(01:59):
I can never say that word, but it's our brain's ability to form new neural connections.
Each time we repeat a positive affirmation, we reinforce that connection,
making it easier to believe those words as part of our truth.
As the brilliant author and thinker James Allen once said, you are today where
(02:24):
your thoughts have brought you, you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you.
Every thought you entertain holds the power to create your future.
If you constantly tell yourself I'm not good enough or I don't deserve success
then those beliefs will drive your actions or more likely your inaction.
(02:46):
But if you constantly shift to affirming statements like I am worthy or I am
capable, you start to act in alignment with those truths.
Over time, this simple yet profound practice can change the way you think, feel and live.
Reflective question. What limiting
(03:08):
beliefs are holding me back from becoming the woman I know I can be?
Here's a tip for you. Start by identifying a single limiting belief.
Once you've pinpointed it, create an affirmation that directly counters that belief.
For example, if you often think I'm not smart enough, your new affirmation could
(03:30):
be I am intelligent and capable of solving any challenge.
Write this affirmation down and repeat it to yourself every day.
For a life example, Elizabeth Gilbert.
Let's take the example of Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat Pray Love.
Before writing the book that changed her life she faced crippling self-doubt.
(03:56):
Gilbert experienced failure with her previous works and found herself questioning
whether she was good enough to continue as a writer.
However she began using affirmations reminding herself daily,
I am a writer, I have a story to tell and people want to hear it.
That simple but powerful statement
fueled her journey to one of the most successful memoirs ever written.
(04:20):
Her story is a reminder of how affirmations can push us through moments of fear
and uncertainty, transforming doubt into belief.
And I also want to share my story because I used to really struggle with public
speaking and standing up for myself.
Like 12 years ago, I was a completely different person,
(04:43):
and not 100% different but I was definitely more
filled with self-doubt
and I remember I used to
really struggle speaking in large
situations and in crowds so I decided I
was going to do something so I started going to
Toastmasters and I remember one
(05:05):
of the guys he just said this to me randomly but this phrase literally I just
started repeating it to myself he came up to me after one day because he wanted
me to say something and I was like I still don't feel confident enough and then
he said to me he was like Niffy you have a voice and it deserves to be heard.
And that was the little phrase and literally it stuck in my mind and then I
(05:29):
started saying it to myself and I started saying, I have a voice and it deserves to be heard.
And fast forward many years later, I still say that to myself sometimes because
I still have moments of doubt, but I'm a lot more confident than I used to be.
I started a YouTube channel, I'm doing this podcast, I'm I'm doing a blog and I feel like that is me.
(05:55):
You know, I did a life coaching course and I'm coaching people.
So I definitely feel like that phrase changed my life.
So that's why I'm a huge fan of affirmations because they can really shape your life.
Anyway, that was me going off on one. Section two, crafting your own empowering affirmations.
(06:19):
Now that we understand the why
let's talk about the how how do
you create affirmations that resonate with you on a
deep personal level the key
is to keep them simple specific positive and in the present present tone present
tense your affirmations should feel real and grounded in your current experience
(06:43):
while still reflecting the woman you're becoming the first step is to start with I am statements.
Why? Because I am anchors the affirmations in the present moment.
It sends a signal to your mind that this isn't something that's going to happen
in the distant future. It's happening right now.
(07:05):
This is especially important for women because let's face it,
we've been conditioned to doubt ourselves.
Affirmations are your reminder that you are enough right now just as you are. Here are some examples.
I am worthy of love and respect exactly as I am.
(07:25):
I embrace my uniqueness and value and value what I bring to the world.
I trust myself to make the best decisions for my life.
I am powerful, I am capable and I deserve success.
When you craft your affirmations, focus on what you want to feel and believe about yourself.
(07:50):
Ask yourself, what do I most need to hear right now?
Make it personal and don't worry about it sounding perfect.
The most important thing is that your affirmation reflects your inner truth.
Reflective questions. What are the areas of my life where I feel most insecure or uncertain?
(08:11):
What empowering belief would help me feel more confident in that area?
Tip. Write your affirmations in your journal every morning.
It doesn't matter if they're the same each day or if they evolve over time.
What matters is the consistency.
Writing them down reinforces them in your mind and helps solidify your new belief system.
(08:37):
Section three, overcoming self-doubt with affirmations.
Self-doubt is something every woman faces at some point in her her life.
Do you know what? It's something everyone faces, male and female,
but it often shows up as critical moments when we're about to step out of our
comfort zone or pursue a goal that feels bigger than ourselves.
(08:59):
And while doubt can be paralyzing, it doesn't have to be.
Affirmations are one of the most effective tools for quieting that inner critic
and shifting the narrative.
Self-doubt is often fueled by fear fear
of failure fear of judgment fear of
the unknown but what if you could
transform that fear into a belief that you
(09:22):
are worthy and capable no matter the outcome that's where affirmations come
in when you feel doubt creeping in reach for an affirmation that directly counters
it this not only shifts your mindset but also helps you take action from a place
of confidence rather than fear.
Let me share the story of Simone Geertz, a Swedish inventor and YouTuber,
(09:48):
known as the queen of shitty robots.
Early in her career, she faced massive self-doubt, especially as a woman in the tech space.
Geertz often dealt with imposter syndrome,
feeling like she wasn't doing enough feeling
(10:09):
like she didn't belong but instead of
letting those doubts stop her she leaned into affirmations that focused on her
unique value she once said I tell myself every day that my worth is not defined
by how successful or perfect something is I'm valuable because I dare to try.
(10:31):
By affirming her worth, she built a career on creativity, innovation and humour.
Reflective question, when self-doubt arises, what fear is hiding behind it?
Tip when you feel doubt creeping in stop
and ask yourself what am I afraid of then write
(10:51):
an affirmation that directly counters that fear
for example if your doubt is saying
I'm afraid of failing your affirmation
might be I'm capable of learning from every
experience and every challenge makes me
stronger repeat this affirmation whenever doubt
arises section four daily
(11:13):
affirmation practice for lasting impact affirmations are most powerful when
they become a daily practice think of it like going to the gym you wouldn't
expect to get stronger after just one workout right the same applies to your
mindset the more you practice affirmations the more you train your
mind to think positively and affirm your worth on autopilot.
(11:37):
Here are a few simple ways to integrate affirmations into your daily routine.
One, morning mirror talk. Start each day by standing in front of a mirror,
looking at yourself in the eye and saying your affirmation out loud.
The act of speaking your affirmations with intention and eye contact strengthens their impact.
(11:58):
Two, journaling. Each morning write down three affirmations that align with
how you want to feel that day.
By the evening reflect on how those affirmations influence your actions and
mindset throughout the day.
Three, affirmation reminders. Set reminders on your phone throughout the day.
(12:20):
Imagine receiving a message that says I'm worthy
of success right before a big meeting or presentation
it acts as a mental reset grounding
you in your power the key is
consistency when you affirm your worth every
day you begin to believe in alignment or to live in alignment with that truth
(12:41):
over time those words become second nature replacing any lingering self-doubt
or negativity reflective question how can i make affirmations a consistent part of my daily routine.
Tip, choose one time of day, whether it's first thing in the morning,
(13:02):
during a lunch break or before bed, to focus on your affirmations.
Build it into a habit, just like brushing your teeth.
And remember, this practice isn't about perfection, it's about progress.
Every time you affirm yourself, you're reinforcing a new way of thinking.
Section 5, real-life story of affirmation success.
(13:25):
Now, I'd like to share with you a real-life example of how affirmations can change lives.
One of my clients, let's call her Jessica, came to me feeling stuck in her career.
Despite being incredibly talented and hard-working, she felt as though she wasn't
progressing, and that made her question her worth.
She often told herself, I'm not good enough to advance, or I don't deserve recognition.
(13:50):
These negative affirmations had become her reality.
Together, we worked on shifting her mindset through affirmations.
She started each morning with statements like, I am deserving of success and
I am capable of achieving my goals.
At first, it felt awkward for her, as it often does for most of us when we start something new.
(14:14):
But with time, those affirmations became her truth. Her confidence grew and
eventually she applied for and got a promotion she'd been afraid to pursue for years.
Affirmations didn't change, they didn't just change her mindset,
they changed the trajectory of her career.
(14:35):
Jessica's story is a powerful reminder that our thoughts shape our reality.
When we affirm our worth, we start living in alignment with that belief.
Reflective question. Where in my life am I holding myself back due to negative belief?
Tip. Choose one area of your life where you feel stuck or held back by doubt.
(15:00):
Create an affirmation that directly counters the negative belief associated with it.
For example, if you feel stuck in your career, your affirmation could be,
I'm worthy of success and opportunities flow to me effortlessly.
Make this your daily mantra.
(15:20):
