“Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed. To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!” —Proverbs 15:22-23 (ESV)
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” —1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)

Have you ever had an important decision to make and wished you could get a bit of advice? Whether it's choosing a career, deciding on friendships, or handling a tough situation, seeking counsel can make all the difference.
Proverbs 15:22-23 highlights that making decisions without seeking advice is risky, but wise counsel can bring success and joy. It's not just about asking for advice, but knowing that those words can help guide you in the right direction.
In 1 Corinthians 10, Paul challenges us to live intentionally in everything we do—whether it's as simple as eating or drinking. He says that we should do all things for God’s glory. That means every action, even the small ones, can be an opportunity to reflect God's wisdom and love. When we choose to act wisely and with purpose, we honor God and move toward success in our lives.

THINK ABOUT IT
1. The Power of Counsel: Proverbs says that plans succeed with good advice. Have you ever made a big decision on your own? What would have been different if you had asked for advice from a trusted friend, mentor, or leader?
2. Living for God’s Glory: Paul reminds us that everything we do should bring glory to God. How can you change your attitude or actions today to reflect that you’re living with God’s purposes in mind, even in the small choices you make?
3. Wisdom in Words: Proverbs also talks about how a timely word can bring joy. Think about a time when someone said something at just the right moment—how did it impact you? How can you be a source of wisdom and encouragement to those around you?
