This is a spotlight on the Scriptures, Daniel 3:15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?

 

This passage recounts a critical moment of faith and courage. The king, Nebuchadnezzar, offers Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego another chance to bow to the idol, making it clear that rejection would lead to severe consequences. Their submission at this stage would be seen as a greater shame than if they had obeyed at first. Nebuchadnezzar emphasizes the penalty for disobedience and confidently asserts that their God cannot save them.

This scenario highlights the profound faith of the three men, who choose to stand firm in their belief despite the king's threats. It underscores the tension between earthly power and divine faith, illustrating the courage needed to remain true to one's convictions in the face of massive pressure.

 If we only focused on what's happening around us, we would just see people's actions. The early Christians might have felt really upset watching what people were up to. But prophecy helped them by showing that people's plans would fail and God was using even their anger for His purpose. The future revealed to them clearly that God knew how to save the faithful from persecution. May the church  learn and know this. This is a spotlight on the Scriptures 10/29/25
