Welcome back for another episode of the Booked on Fantasy Podcast! We are so excited to continue our Empire of Storms coverage with chapters 38-42.
In the aftermath of Deanna's takeover and defeat of the Valg fleet, we finally get the moment we've all been waiting for: Aelin and Rowan seal the deal by claiming eachother on the beach!!! Post romance, Aelin finally comes clean to everyone about having had a wyrdkey in her possession the entire time. They proceed to ring up Elena on the wyrd-line, where she reiterates Aelin's mission to get the wyrkeys and the lock, while also confirming that Mala Firebringer was indeed her mother who gave up her immortal life to craft the lock. With the lock mission more important than ever, they set sail for Eyllwe. Along the way, they run into a barely conscious Manon Blackbeak flying toward them thanks to Abraxos. Meanwhile, Elide and Lorcan have a terrifying set of chapters when the ilken come back to haunt them yet again. Lorcan manages to kill them off, but not before they reveal Elide's true identity to him. This leads to another truth reveal, but they ultimately decide to stay together because, well, she's still his "wife" after all.
