With Ron at his side, Harry sets off to thetrophy room for his first (technically illegal) nighttime adventure, only todiscover that the duel was a trap.
The night escalates quickly: Neville tags along after beingfreed from the hospital wing, Filch is on their tail, and the group ends up inthe forbidden third-floor corridor. That’s where they stumble upon somethingtruly terrifying, a giant three-headed dog guarding something mysterious undera trapdoor.
This chapter marks a turning point in the tone of the book.It’s no longer just about spells and classes, it’s about secrets, danger, andrules that might need to be broken. We also see the beginning ofHarry’s growing reputation as a rule-breaker and adventurer, as well as thedeepening of his bond with Ron and Neville.
