Compassion, Love, and Science: Responding to the on-the-ground impact of the opioid crisis.

We are excited to share our conversation with Dr. Nabarun Dasgupta. Dr. Dasgupta is a scientist at the Opioid Data Lab at the University of North Carolina with two decades of experience in overdose epidemiology and prevention. Through his unique research approach and ability to tell true stories about health with data and compassion, Dr. Dasupta has become a national leader in reconfiguring how our country addresses the opioid crisis. 

The  New York Times and NPR recently featured Dr. Dasgupta's team's work in studying and addressing the opioid epidemic. Through his work, he aims to amplify community and patient voices in public health. He works closely with patients with pain conditions and believes they can be equal partners in scientific research. 

We had a wide-ranging and informative discussion.  We appreciate Dr. Dasgupta for taking the time to talk with the CSPP.
