Jama Pantel (00:00):
You already know you're the face of your brand.
But knowing that and actuallyshowing up like it are two very
different things.
Hey, y'all, it's your podcast,bestie Jama.
And today we're talking aboutsomething a lot of personal
brands are feeling.
You know you're the brand, thatpart's clear.
But now what do you do?
What are you supposed to dowith that?

(00:20):
Let's break it down.
Real talk here.
Realizing you're the brand is ahuge shift.
It changes the way you thinkabout your business, your image,
your voice, all of it.
But just knowing you're thebrand, that's only step one.
And this is where so manypeople get stuck that finally

(00:41):
accept that they can't hidebehind logos or stock photos or
clever captions anymore.
But they have no idea what todo next.
So they freeze or theyoverthink or they try to do
everything all at once, andthat's when burnout creeps back
in.
So if you've been there oryou're in it right now, just
know you're not alone.

(01:02):
When I first started taking mypersonal brand seriously, I had
to shift from being "the girlbehind the camera to the face of
the business, and y'all, Ireally resisted that.
I thought I'm not flashy, Idon't wanna be an influencer or
be seen.
I'd rather let my work speakfor myself.
I've talked about this often, but here's the truth.
People don't just buy your work.

(01:24):
They buy you, your energy, yourvalues, your perspective, what
you have to say and what youhave to offer.
When I finally leaned intobeing the brand, when I started
showing my face more, telling mystory and letting people
connect with me, everythingchanged.
Not overnight, but the clarity, the alignment that was worth

(01:47):
everything.
So, if you're at that stagenow, here's what I recommend for
you.
Start by asking what do I wantto be known for?
Not just what you do, but howyou make people feel.
What's your voice?
What's your vibe?
Audit your digital presence.
Is your profile photo up todate?

(02:08):
Does your Instagram bio orLinkedIn summary actually sound
like you?
This is the stuff that buildsrecognition.
Pick one place to show upintentionally, not everywhere,
just one.
Maybe it's Instagram stories,maybe it's your blog, Maybe it's
your email list.
Wherever it is, show up likethe brand you are, and if you

(02:30):
don't feel ready, that's totallynormal.
Confidence isn't a requirement.
It's a result of showing up anddoing the work day in and day
out.
It's okay if your first fewposts feel awkward.
It's okay if you're stilltrying to figure out your voice,
Start where you are and refineas you go, and refine as often
as you need to.
If you're looking for supportto get started to show up more

(02:54):
confidently, I've got youcovered on my website,
jamapantel.
com, and I'll post those linksin the show notes as well.
So, yes, you know you're thebrand.
That's huge.
But don't let that realizationparalyze you.
Let it activate you and inspireyou, Because now that you know
it's time to move, To be seen,to show up, to speak up and to

(03:18):
be the leader you were meant tobe.
One post, one story, one actionat a time.
Thanks for tuning in and, asalways, keep showing up and
living the whole picture.
I'll see you next time.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
