Key Takeaways

  • Being seen is not enough. You have to be understood to build trust and connection.
  • Clarity is everything. Vagueness in your message keeps your audience confused or disengaged.
  • Stop hiding the best parts of yourself. Playing it safe makes your brand forgettable.
  • Don’t chase volume. Meaningful content > More content.
  • Speak directly to the people you want to serve. You’ll build a stronger, more aligned audience.

Jama Pantel (00:00):
If you've been showing up, posting and putting
in the work but still feelinvisible, this one's for you.
Hey y'all, it's your podcast, bestie Jama again, and today
we're talking about why youmight not be getting noticed
even though you're doing all theright things.
Let's be real, posting content, showing up on camera, updating

(00:21):
your bio, all of it takes timeand energy, but when it doesn't
move the needle, that'sfrustrating.
You start questioning whetherit's even worth it.
You wonder if your voice isgetting lost in the scroll.
I've been there and I want tobreak it down for you so you can
figure out what's actuallymissing and fix it.
Here's the truth that no onereally tells you.

(00:43):
Showing up online is only halfthe job.
The other half is beingmemorable when you do.
That doesn't mean louder, itmeans clearer, it means people
need to understand who you are, what you stand for and why they
should pay attention, becauseotherwise you're just blending
in with everyone else.

(01:03):
So let me tell you a personalstory about a time I was doing
all the things.
I was posting consistently.
My captions were thought out, Iwas showing my face and it
still felt like no one wasreally paying attention.
That's when I realized this.
I was present but notpositioned.
People saw me but they didn'tget me, and that's when I

(01:25):
started shifting, how I showedup and, honestly, a big part of
why I started this podcast.
I got really clear on who I wastalking to.
I stopped trying to sound likeeveryone else and I stopped
shrinking my message to be morepalatable.
That changed everything and Ifeel way more aligned on this
podcast than on anything elseI've ever done.

(01:47):
So if you're wondering whypeople aren't engaging, here are
three common reasons.
Number one you're not clear.
If your message is vague, people won't latch onto it.
They don't know if it's forthem or not.
Instead of saying, for instance, me, I help women feel
confident, I've leaned in moreto saying I help women in
male-dominated industries builda presence that commands respect

(02:10):
.
I got really specific.
Number two you're hiding theparts that make you interesting.
If you're playing it too safe, your content fades into the
background.
People connect with realness.
They want to know what drivesyou, what you've overcome, what
you stand for.
You don't have to overshare, but if you're not sharing at all

(02:30):
, you will be forgettable.
Number three you're chasingvolume instead of value.
More posts, more platforms,more noise.
None of it matters if yourcontent isn't meaningful.
It's better to post one thingthat hits than five that say
nothing at all.
So what can you do to finallyget noticed?
Here's what works.

(02:51):
Get specific about who you helpand how.
Use your actual voice, not somepolished version of you.
Show your face and stop hidingbehind graphics and quotes.
Tell stories, not juststrategies.
People remember moments, notbullet points.
Create content with a point ofview, not just what's trending.

(03:12):
And remember you don't needeveryone.
You need the right people tonotice you, and that starts when
you get clear, real and bold.
So if you're tired of feelinginvisible, I've got you covered.
You can grab my 30 days ofpersonal brand prompts, my
natural light cheat sheet, orstrike a pose guide.
Or, if you want to go a littlebit deeper, you can check out my

(03:35):
show up confidently on camera.
A mini course that I did.
All of those are available onmy website, jamapantel.
com, and you can click on thelinks in the show notes if you
want to find them there.
You don't need to becomesomeone else to get noticed.
You just need to stop hidingthe parts that make you you.
So thanks for listening y'all.

(03:56):
Keep showing up, keep livingthe whole picture and remember,
your voice deserves to be heard.
Until next time, bye.
