(01:25):
single one of us aging, orrather, how to slow, stop and
even reverse it.
With a new season just aroundthe corner, what better way to
honor yourself and your lovedones than by committing to a
longer, healthier life?
Today we're diving into thetruth about health span versus

(01:46):
lifespan, why the years you livewell matter the most, and also
how science is provingbiological age reversal is
possible.
Yes, we have the technology andthe biggest myths the biggest
myths about aging and whatactually works to stay young
longer.
So if you've ever wondered howto keep your body thriving into

(02:09):
your 80s or 90s or beyond, well, this episode is definitely for
you.
And before we jump in, makesure that you subscribe to the
show.

wellnesscom.

(02:30):
And now let's get started.
So first I want to take amoment to say thank you.
Whether this is your firstepisode or you've been with me
since the beginning, I trulyappreciate you, and the fact
that you're here means thatyou're invested in your health,
your energy and your performance, and that is worth celebrating.
Now this topic.

(02:51):
It's deeply personal for me.
Some of you may know my storyand I shared a little bit about
this a little deeper than I'llgo today, just for time
constraints in last Sunday'sfrom the heart newsletter.
So if you got that, well, ifyou know, you know, when I was
just six years old, mybiological mom passed away.

(03:11):
She transitioned from thisphysical experience because of
leukemia and then, in 2022, mystepmom passed from dementia.
Both of these experiencesreally shaped my mission to help
people not just live longer, but live well while they're here
, to be able to overcome thosechronic health conditions.

(03:34):
Because here's the truthlongevity isn't just about
adding years to your life.
It's about adding life to youryears.
So today let's talk about whatit really takes to slow aging,
extend healthspan and bust someof the common myths that are
keeping people stuck.
So most people focus onlifespan how long they live but

(03:58):
what really matters ishealthspan how long that you
stay strong and vibrant andindependent and keep that
vitality that you had when youwere younger.
So think about it.
What's the point of living to90 if the last 20 years are
spent sick and weak and being aburden to other family members?
The goal is to thrive, not justsurvive.

(04:21):
So here's the good news you dohave control over this.
The difference between someonefrail at 70 versus somebody
still hiking at 100.
Is daily choices.
Life is choice.
So let's get into the science oflongevity Aging.
It's often thought of somethingthat well just happens, but

(04:43):
modern science is showing usthat it is actually a process we
can influence.
So let's take heart disease andstroke, for instance.
So this is the number one causeof death, yet largely
preventable through control ofinflammation, control of
metabolic health.
You know, you can also add intothat category things like type

(05:06):
2 diabetes or high bloodpressure.
They're all related to thecardiovascular system and they
are completely within yourcontrol, despite what a
conventional practitioner may ormay not have told you, despite
what marketing may have told you.
You know, on television or theradio, I mean, we're just
flooded with those ads all thetime.

(05:26):
So, moving on to dementia andAlzheimer's, this brain
degeneration begins decadesbefore symptoms appear, but
early lifestyle interventionscan slow or even prevent these
brain impairing conditions.
Now, with my step-mom, it wasrapid onset and it was it was

(05:47):
really unfortunate because I wasum.
You know she passed in 2022 andshe became.
We noticed the issues when youknow, it was probably 2018, and
I was.
You know, I've been in thewellness industry since 2015, so
I I knew a lot of the things,the foundational things, and I

(06:08):
really didn't understandalzheimer's and dementia the way
I do now, until I want to sayit was too late, because when
she was in a memory carefacility that was controlled by
conventional medicine doctors, Iwas not able to have an
influence on the outcome at thatpoint because they certainly

(06:30):
weren't open to integrativehealth.
Let me just put it that way.
So you know, there's a lot thatI could have done if the timing
were different, and there's alot that I can do for you or
your loved ones.
Now, when I have thisinformation, I have the skills
and I have the tools when itcomes to things like Alzheimer's
and dementia.
It's no mystery on how thathappens, why that happens and

(06:51):
what can we do when that beginsto set in.
So now let's move on to cancerand autoimmune disorders.
I really wanted to put thisinto like two separate
categories, but again, I'mtrying to keep these podcast
episodes, you know, to 10 or 15minutes every week for you.
But what this thing comes downto is toxins, deficiencies,

(07:12):
chronic inflammation.
These all play a massive rolein cancer and autoimmune
disorders and functional testingcan detect risks early.
So you know, if we caneliminate cancer is kind of the
wild card, and I want to talkabout cancer specifically in
just a minute.
But if we can eliminate what Italked about first the number
one cause of death beingcardiovascular disease, type 2

(07:35):
diabetes, high blood, high bloodpressure, stroke if we can
mitigate that and prevent those, like we are so far ahead of the
game and then we can work onmitigating things like cancer,
auto immune disorders and thingslike that.
Now the functional testingabsolutely instrumental, and
then we can get into things likefull body MRIs with no contrast

(07:58):
.
I mean that's an amazingtechnology right there in itself
.
And the reason is this becauseif we are not putting
radioactive contrast into thebody, we have a better, we have
a better outcome.
You know we're not putting atoxin into the body to look for
other health issues.
So non-contrast MRIs aredefinitely a game changer when

(08:21):
it comes to detecting even thesmallest amount of cancer.
And when would you rather findout that you or a loved one has
cancer?
At stage four, when the workit's a lot harder to reverse
that or when things are justgetting started.
You know, maybe stage one andhealing that and cancer you know
, reversing that cancer is amuch easier task.

(08:44):
So what I want to say aboutcancer is stay tuned, because
next week I have I'm launching acancer support page at Love
Energy Wellness.
Although we cannot say that wetreat, diagnose, cure or prevent
cancer, we certainly have toolsthat can support that and I
have some amazing resources thatI'm going to share with you in

(09:07):
the weeks to come.
So keep an eye out for that.
So you might be wondering how dowe address this?
Well, it comes back to thethree R's.
I talked about the five R'sbefore, but we can really narrow
it down to three R's.
And that would be to reveal, find out where your body is
struggling, and we do thisthrough at-home functional lab
testing.
And then we remove is thesecond R?
We eliminate those toxicities, the stresses, the inflammation,

(09:32):
before they start causingdisease.
And then the third R isreplenish, or you could say
rebalance, and this is where weuse clinically proven natural
protocols to rebuild andstrengthen the body and bring
vitality back to our lives.
This is not just theory.
This is backed by science.
This has been done in clinicalpractice for decades now and

(09:55):
it's been proven throughclinical studies.
Everything that we do over atLove, energy, wellness, there's
efficacy to it.
So let's bust some myths onaging, shall we?
So here's one myth that youhear all the time Wrinkles and
fatigue mean that you're gettingold.
Where the truth of the matteris, they're just signs of what
we call oxidative stress.
These are deficiencies andhormone imbalances, and they are

(10:19):
all fixable.
So the next myth is that ourbodies naturally break down with
age, and the truth of thematter is the body regenerates
daily.
It just needs the right inputs, the right resources to be able
to replicate its cells.
We have a process in ourcellular regeneration Apoptosis
is programmed cellular death, and then our cells can

(10:41):
regenerate cellular genesis.
We can regenerate cells, and itjust needs the right inputs.
And then the last myth thatwe'll cover that it's too late
to make a difference, andnothing could be further from
the truth.
Studies show lifestyle changescan add decades of quality life,
even in your 60s, your 70s andbeyond.
So you know, we pull secretsfrom what has worked, and

(11:06):
there's.
You may have heard of the bluezones before, the world's
longest living populations, likethose in Okinawa, sardinia,
loma Linda they all have commonhabits and if we can bring these
habits into our life, you know,I had a great podcast interview
with one of my coaches justlast night, jim Fortin.

(11:26):
It'll be published in a week ortwo, and one of the best
lessons that I learned from Jimwas about habits, and we don't
get what we want in life.
We get our habits.
So if we can make habits aroundnutrient-dense whole foods, if
we can make habits around dailymovement, not extreme workouts,

(11:46):
if we can make habits aroundgetting natural sunlight you
know, there's another myth thatsun exposure is hazardous to our
health, and you know who do youthink came up with that?
Well, it was probably themanufacturers of sunscreen.
So that is a myth as well.
So getting sunlight uh,habituating that and natural
rhythms not just sunlight on ourskin but sunlight in our eyes

(12:08):
helps to set up.
If you can watch a sunrise andwatch a sunset a few times a
week, absolutely amazing forresetting your natural rhythms.
Making habits around stressreduction through things like
mindfulness and finding yourpurpose being purposeful in life
.
Your purpose being purposefulin life, whether that's donating

(12:30):
your time or contributing inyour community, or, you know,
for me my purpose was changingcareers.
Late, you know, late in my life, and I don't want to say late.
I feel as though I'm onlyhalfway through the years that I
have ahead of me.
But what I'm doing now, compared to what I was doing 10
years ago, is much morepurposeful.
It's much more rewarding andspiritually fulfilling.

(12:50):
And then making habits aroundprioritizing deep, restorative
sleep this is absolutelyfoundational.
It's a game changer.
Something that I work with everyone of my clients over at Love
Energy Wellness is sleepoptimization.
And guess what?
You don't have to move to ablue zone to live like this.
I help clients buildpersonalized longevity plans

(13:12):
using these principles everysingle day.
So let's bring this togetherand give you some actionable
steps here.
If you're serious aboutreversing your biological age
and extending your health span, here's what you can do.
Today you can find out yourcurrent biological age with
something that we use in ourpractice called a DNAGE test.

(13:33):
So DNAGE, this is a test thatlooks at your biological age
compared to your chronologicalage, and now we have a
comparison, a baseline, and wecan bridge that gap and we can
start moving your biological ageto less than your chronological
age, and we do that throughlongevity protocols.
Your next step you can also geta completely free consultation

(13:56):
to create your personalizedlongevity plan over at love
energy wellness.
And then you know, subconsciousreprogramming plays a big part
in longevity, as I talked aboutin last week's episode.
So if you miss that, go backand listen to episode 123, um
and also I believe it was 121.
Uh, we're both about mindset ofum of longevity.

(14:20):

and heart coherence, becausetrue longevity starts with inner
balance.
So you can find it at our audioshop over at
loveenergywellnesscom.
