We're talking about this hiddentruth that your body is a
transmitter and a receiver.

Most entrepreneurs focus onstrategy, on time management or
even mindset, which is important, but here's the truth your
success is determined by yourenergy, and your energy is
regulated by your centralnervous system.
This system isn't just runningyour body, it's also sending and

receiving energy andinformation.
Your body is a frequency tunerand if it's stuck in stress mode
, your ability to create, yourability to lead and your ability
to perform is blocked.
Think about this you ever walkinto a room and feel the energy

shift.
That's your CNS at work,receiving information from the
environment.
Have you ever gotten that gutinstinct before making a big
decision?
That's your cns sending youinternal intelligence.
That feeling usually comes inyour solar plexus.
But if your nervous system isoverloaded with toxins, with

poor sleep and artificial light,environmental toxins and even
stress, it loses its ability totune properly.
You end up exhausted,uninspired and out of sync with
your true potential.
So you might be wondering, jeff,how do we fix this?
How do we optimize your body'snatural ability to send and

receive energy?
Clearly, well, I want to giveyou a three-step plan to balance
your CNS and reclaim yourenergy.
And no, this isn't a plan whereyou know I'm asking you to
invest in products andsupplements and tests.
This is a simple, three-stepplan that you can use nature to

be able to rebalance yourcentral nervous system.
And yes, of course, there arenext steps.
Uh, after these simple threesteps, but I wanted to give you
something actionable today inthis episode that you can
actually implement.
Uh, whatever time of the dayyou're listening to this, or,
you know, first thing tomorrow.
So here's where we start asimple science backed.

Yes, I always like to bringscience.
You know I'm a little somepeople consider me a little on
the woo side, but everythingthat I bring to you here is
backed by science.
I I would like to go a lotfurther, but I want to bring you
things that have efficacy andthat you can implement, that are
actionable.
So the three-step entry-levelplan, we'll call it, to balance
(05:26):
your nervous system and restorehigh-performance energy.
Step number one optimize yoursleep.
Sleep is your portal to thesubconscious mind.
Sleep isn't just rest.
It's a gateway to reprogrammingyour mind and most
entrepreneurs, and I just wantto say, to reprogramming your
mind and most entrepreneurs, andI just want to say this is why
I will do my hypnosis, myself-hypnosis, just before going
(05:52):
to bed, so that I can maximizereprogramming my subconscious
mind, and most entrepreneurs areunknowingly sabotaging it.
One of the fastest ways toregulate your central nervous
system is by following somethingthat's called the 3-2-1 method,
which I learned from Dr StephenCabral in the Integrative
Health Practitioner Institutecurriculum.

So I want to give credit wherecredit is due.
And actually that's actually afree podcast that he has over
there on the Cabral concept, soyou can check that out.
I'll see if I can link it up inthe show notes.
But the 3-2-1 method in anutshell here three hours before
bed, you want to stop eating.
This allows your body to shiftfrom digestion to repair mode.
(06:35):
Now you've heard me say beforethat digestion takes up to 30
percent of your energy, and sowe want to optimize that energy
for repair rather than digestion.
So stop eating.
Three hours before bed is thethree, the two is two hours
before bed.
No liquids.
I actually don't have anyliquids after dinnertime, so I
(06:58):
usually try to eat by 6 pm and Ireally don't have any liquids
until just before bed.
I will mix up my calmingmagnesium and probably two or
three ounces of water minimum,just so I can get that in.
And what this does no liquidstwo hours before bed.
This prevents overnightwake-ups from your bladder, from
the urge to urinate, and whatthat does.
(07:20):
You know, if you're getting uponce, twice, three times a night
to urinate, this is breakingyour sleep cycle.
You're not getting your deepsleep.
You're not getting your REMsleep.
We want two hours, a deep 90minutes of REM each and every
night.
If we can, you can track thatwith a sleep tracker like an
aura ring or an apple watch or afitbit or something along those
(07:43):
lines.
So two hours before bed, noliquid and then the one hour
before bed, no screens.
That means blue lights.
Blue light disrupts melatoninand keeps your nervous system
wired.
You know, if you have to be ona screen, wear some blue light
glasses.
If you're watching on videohere, I always have mine right
here at my computer.
If I have to do something,let's say after dinner time on
(08:04):
the computer, I can put my bluelight blockers on.
You can also find my favoriteblue light blocking glasses on
our resource page from Viveray'sabsolutely amazing company over
there.
And so, moving on, when yousleep deeply, your subconscious
processes ideas, processesemotions and processes energy
(08:27):
more effectively.
It's your body's reset, butonly if you allow it to work
properly.
So step number two optimizeyour central nervous system with
natural light, morning andevening, sun.
So in Breaking Boundaries,episode number 127, we talked
about how light is energy andinformation.
(08:49):
It is the free nutrient thatyou could be missing out on.
Sunlight isn't just aboutvitamin D.
It's a signal to your centralnervous system.
It tells your body when to wakeand be energized and it tells
it when to rest and wind downand how to regulate hormones
like cortisol and melatonin Very, very important.
So here we go Morning sunlightwithin 30 minutes of waking.
(09:12):
Get 10 minutes of directsunlight, no sunglasses, not
through a window, not throughthe windshield of your car.
You want direct sunlight intoyour eyes.
Now, don't stare into the sun.
You can progressively work intosun gazing, but just look in
the general direction of thesunrise or the sunset.
Sunset well, we're talkingabout morning sun here.
(09:35):
So sunrise.
This programs your circadianrhythm and boosts daytime energy
.
It actually increases cortisol,which is a good thing in the
early morning and midday.
Now, conversely, you want tocatch that evening sun set.
So the evening sunlight.
This signals melatoninproduction and helps your
central nervous system downshiftinto recovery mode.
(09:58):
Your nervous system isn't justresponding to food and stress,
it's responding to light, whichis energy and information.
If you're constantly underartificial lighting, your
central nervous system isgetting the wrong signals.
Resetting this one habit canshift your energy within days
and I'll say I saw something.
(10:19):
Of course, I saw it on socialmedia, but it has to do with RFK
and the Make America HealthyAgain and they're actually
bringing back, they're liftingthe ban on incandescent lighting
.
So, as you may or may not knowmy background, I'm a master
(10:40):
electrician by trade and I waspart of that industry when they
phased out incandescent lightingand then they brought in
fluorescent lighting, and thenthey brought in LED lighting or
high-intensity dischargelighting.
These are all artificial lightswith various wavelengths that
can affect our body.
If we're in a building underthese artificial lights all day,
(11:00):
especially in a winter, that'swhat I talked about in episode
127.
So you want to catch that one.
So resetting this one habit canshift your energy within days.
That's getting morning sunlightwithin 30 minutes of waking,
just for five or 10 minutes, andthen that evening sunlight.
Catch that sunset as often asyou can.
(11:21):
Step number three optimize yourenvironment.
What do I mean by that?
Clean water, clean air, cleanfood.
Here's the truth.
Your body is bombarded bytoxins daily.
This is why we recommend every90 days to do a functional

Sorry, I'm yelling.
I'm getting excited becauseit's springtime and my
functional medicine detox iscoming up and, honestly, I can't

start soon enough.
I'm super excited to go throughthat process and I invite you

So, from processed foods tochemicals in tap water, to
pollutants in the air especiallyif you're living in the city or
on a farm, your central nervoussystem is constantly under
attack.
This overload keeps your systemin fight-or-flight mode.

It's called sympathetic nervoussystem dominance SNS.
We don't want that.
This is draining your energyreserves.
So let's talk about water.
Filter your drinking water andyour shower water.
Yes, even if you have wellwater, you still want to filter
it, because you just don't knowwhat's in the ground for heavy
(12:26):
metals.
Or you know if you have a wellon a farm or there's pesticides
or chemicals used in your lawnand the rainwater washes that
down the well casing and then itgets into the well water.
Yeah, it can get down there forsure.
So filter your drinking waterand your shower water.
Especially if you are on amunicipal water supply, you want
to use a filter for your.
(12:46):
You know a water pitcher underthe counter, whole house water
filter system and definitely anadditional one on your shower
that takes care of chlorine,that takes care of fluoride,
that takes care of heavy metals.
Most people overlook theirshower.
They're like, yeah, I have ayou know water filter on my
kitchen faucet and or on myrefrigerator.
You know, sometimes those arejust not up to snuff.
(13:09):
You want to make sure that it'sa filter that takes out 99% of
the contaminants.
Now you might be wondering whyfilter shower water?
Why put a shower filter on yourshower head?
And the reason is this If youare on a municipal water supply,
it has chlorine in the waterand when that water gets steamy,
your breathing stops.
Chlorine vapors into your body.
(13:31):
So not only are you gettingchlorine on your skin, you're
getting it in your body.
And why is this?
Why does this even matter?
Because chlorine actuallymimics, so it's in the halogen
group in the periodic table ofelements and it actually mimics
iodine, which is important foryour thyroid production.
So the chlorine and fluorideare in the same halogen group
(13:54):
and they can block the receptorsfor iodine.
Now your thyroid.
You end up, you know, possiblywith a diagnosis of
hypothyroidism, low thyroid,which is completely possible
from just simply showering inchlorine water and breathing in
those chlorine vapors.
Not to mention the heavy metalsthat are definitely in all of
your water, whether it'smunicipal or well water as well,
(14:19):
and all of these things disruptyour nervous system and your
hormone balance.
Next, let's talk about air.
Air is super important for yourbody.
If you didn't have it youwouldn't live.
But breathing in contaminatedair, especially city air, you
know you have to break dust andexhaust fumes and industry and
all kinds of things.
You want to use an air purifieror open windows daily.

You know that's going to helpto off gas.
The well the off gassinghappens in your home.
You want to open the windows tobring in fresh air on a daily
basis when you can.
Your brain functions betterwith clean oxygen.
My highest recommendation is touse exit exercise with oxygen
therapy.

But again, we're just stickingto the basics here.
Open your windows, it'scompletely free for that air

Organic foods when possible,pesticides and preservatives

So think of this like clearingstatic from a radio signal.
This clean air, clean water,clean food this morning,

sunlight, the three to onemethod for sleep this is like
clearing static from a radiosignal.
The cleaner your inputs, theclearer your body's ability to
receive and transmit that vitallife force, energy.
