Speaker 1 (00:05):
Hello, welcome back to Brutally Made, so excited to
have you here with me today.
I appreciate everyone listeningand following along on YouTube
the doodles and speaking ofdoodles, choosing Fridays Elo
Loves Doodle for today is rabbit.

(00:27):
So I love bunnies, rabbits.
My baby granddaughter isobsessed with them.
So, just going to doodle alongsome rabbits and talk about a
fun collaboration that I havecoming up in April, on the 21st,

(00:51):
and it is with the lovely EllieDallas.
She's also known as TinderSpecon Instagram and she will be in
the area for a visit, and so Iasked if we could do a fun day

(01:12):
downtown Canton to have a littlebit of freehand embroidery.
She teaches workshops andclasses in this beautiful art in
Los Angeles, california, inthat area, and she will be here,
and I wanted to see if we couldoffer that to people that lived

(01:35):
around here, and she said yes,and so I'm very excited that we
have 18 spots available.
On Sunday, april the 21st, wewill be at fromage de monde,
which is a beautiful cheesehouse I want to call it that.
It is so pretty, nicole has abeautiful space that's next door

(02:00):
that she lets people reserveand have a little get-togethers,
and so there is space for 20 ofus, so between Ellie and I
making two, so that's 18 seatsleft, for a small fee of $40.
You will have a beautifulgrazing tray to enjoy that day

(02:21):
and beverages, and then we willalso have all the supplies for
you to create a freehandembroidery of your choice.
You can design it.
You can bring your stuff too.
So if you love to embroider andyou have flosses and threads
and needles and hoops andfabrics and things, bring those
along.
You can have those at yourdisposal and Ellie will have a

(02:45):
bunch that you can use.
And so she does these amazingportraits and pictures of people
with thread and sketching themout and showing you different
stitches.
And once that's done, you canmount that and frame it and it's
a beautiful gift.
Or you can make it for yourself.
You can incorporate it onto apiece of clothing.
You could even bring theclothing.

(03:07):
Let's say you have a denimjacket and you want to embroider
an image on there, bring thatwith you, bring a hoop and we'll
work on that together.
It's from one to four, so you'regoing to have three hours of
time to get to just enjoy oneanother's company, have some
snacks, just a very relaxing, fun afternoon downtown Canton.

(03:30):
I love being able to visit thedowntown businesses and get to
collaborate with Nicole'sbeautiful restaurant and shop
and then also inviting an out oftown guest and get to
experience that Parking is freein Canton on the weekends and so

(03:52):
there's street parking alongthat's shops road.
The parking lots behind theshop or kind of beside the shop
are usually pretty sparse on aweekend, especially like a
Sunday afternoon, so there'sparking in there.
So there's just a lot that youcan do in the area when you know

(04:13):
that something is going on, andeven from one to four after
four o'clock there's restaurantsthat are open.
So make plans to meet otherfriends and family and go to
dinner afterwards.
Because again, we're justhaving a grazing tray and it's
funny, I call it that becauseNicole taught me that it is not

(04:33):
a charcuterie board, unlesstheir charcuterie is French, for
I think something like choppedor cut meats.
And the trays are way more thanthat with the different cheeses
and fruits and nuts and jamsand, you know, breads and things
.
So they're called grazing trays.

(04:54):
So I learned a lot from takinga beautiful class with her At
that facility, which issomething you can do too.
They have the most amazingSandwiches and paninis and soups
.
Oh my gosh, the soups areincredible, so good.
Just the other day I hope Idon't mess this up, nicole it

(05:15):
was Hungarian pepper soup.
It was like this cheese baseHoly Toledo, was that good?
Oh my gosh, I just it was sogood.
It's totally worth.
I love soup.
I can eat soup all year long.
I love it when it's cold out,but man, I just that's like one
of my favorite meals is a reallygood soup.
I love making soup.

(05:35):
I love ordering it for a meal.
Some people think it's onlylike a second or third course,
but I can't help it.
I just I love soup and theyhave some awesome soups there,
but I just you know Ellie has.
Ellie Dallas has been a friendof my daughter's for years.
She was also in my daughter'swedding and my granddaughter is

(06:00):
Named after her one of mygranddaughters.
So I have known Ellie for avery long time and watched this
beautiful young woman Just growinto an amazing adult.
She does some of the mostcreative oh my gosh art based.
She has a master's in art tooand she's she's been a teacher

(06:21):
out in California.
Um, she does live modeling for,for sketching, and you know
life figure modeling justbeautiful and just so talented
and I know that she has alsocreated some zines.
I think there was any.
It's not signs or they magazine, so there's.

(06:43):
Zines are a little the littlebook glitz that you have a lot
of artists creating and there'sbeen shows where you exchange
those and purchase those, and soshe has one or a couple, more
than one, but I know I'vepurchased one that she's created
and just you know such awonderful heart and just a

(07:04):
beautiful person and I just I'mso excited I'll get to spend
some time with her while she'shere.
I'm just so extremely proud ofher and what she's doing and
I've always considered her partof our family and I know how
close that she is with my kidsand Just I'm really excited that

(07:26):
I can, you know, do this andand have this moment of time
With her and get to share itwith other people that just
wanted to hang out and createTogether.
That's just the most excitingpart.
You know just laughing alongand stitching things together
and you know just having time tojust relax and and do something

(07:49):
.
You know hands-on.
And I Want to do more of these.
I want to create moreexperiences when I have the
ability to get people togetherand create together, enjoy some
great food, and just you knowthat time together, that

(08:09):
downtime.
So Watch for some more of thesecoming up.
I thought about almost like aspeed Type of creating.
I don't want it to go fast, Idon't want you to feel like you
have to produce something in ashort amount of time, but I
think it'd be fun to have a fewdifferent options Together at a

(08:30):
location with some great food, and that you know, when you get
done with this project, you haveanother one to move on to, and
so at the end of the nightYou've created a few different
things to take home and you'vegot to, you know, laugh and talk
along with your friends andkind of like a fun spin on the
paint and sip premise.
But a different step, adifferent thing.

(08:52):
I love those, but I only haveso much wall space and so I
can't hang anymore, and so Iwant to create and make things,
maybe that I can wear, or maybethat I can gift, or maybe is a
little, you know, knick-knack orwho knows.
So just you know, expanding onthat and then getting to take a

(09:14):
few things home with you.
So I'm working on some ideasabout having those events, and
so I really am excited aboutcollaborating with some
locations that are now reachingout to me asking if I would hold
events at their location whichI am 100%, 110%, 1,000% in.

(09:35):
I am very, very excited.
I have an event coming up in acouple of weeks with a nonprofit
that I got to do another dateby November so I will be there
leading that paper number, helping everyone get their
colors and painting that, andwhat was really cool is that I
also was asked to design thegift for someone, and it is one

(09:58):
of my patterns and it turned outgorgeous.
I am so excited about that so Ican't wait to share more.
I've been doing a lot of stuffwith some nonprofits.
Last weekend I got to facepaint downtown for Be A Better
Me Foundation and then I got tobe part of granting a wish for a

(10:21):
beautiful young boy who is veryill and so got to face paint at
his birthday, and so I wantedto be able to take my talents
and give back where I can, andso I really appreciate these
organizations reaching out, asking and thinking outside the
box in different ways that Iknow I can contribute and make

(10:44):
things memorable, and that'sreally important to me.
I really appreciate theopportunities to do that, so I
just wanted to highlight myevent with Ellie coming up April
21st.
Again, there are only 18tickets that are going to be
available and so they just wenton sale.
So, yeah, I hope that we get agreat group together and it'll

(11:08):
be a lot of fun and I willcontinue to do these more often.
And it would be a fantasticopportunity to eventually create
a retreat for artists and getspeakers in and maybe do
something at one of the resortsthat are around me and have

(11:31):
people learn from one anotherand be inspired by one another.
That would be tremendous.
So that's in a pack of my mindworking on something like that.
So if you are interested inparticipating, if you're someone
who has got a heart to sharewhat they do, let me know, just

(11:52):
send me a message.
And if you're local and youwould want to participate in a
brutally made speed makingevening, you'd want to offer a
little kit or something to puttogether for maybe 10, 15 people
and then also set up your boothso you can sell that night, let

(12:16):
me know and then I can, youknow, organize that night at a
local restaurant or facility, and that would be a lot of fun.
We could have like three or fourdifferent artists sharing what
they do as a class and then youwould rotate out of that class
after, let's say, 45 minutes tothe next one, maybe an hour, but

(12:39):
then you could still let peopleshop at your spot.
So maybe if they didn't sign upfor the classes, you could
still you know people that arethere can shop your your spaces
and you know I probably need afood truck.
So if you have a food truck andyou're interested in
participating, you know we could.
The ticket price could be avoucher, for you know a certain

(13:02):
amount of money for your foodtruck that they would get to
spend that night, and I think Icould make it happen and make it
really fun for people thateither have purchased the
tickets to participate or peoplethat are just at that spot and
they want to patronize thelocations that we're at.
So very excited about that ideaand I appreciate the people

(13:24):
that have reached out to mealready wanting me to create
these experiences.
So, so cool.
So we are getting closer toEaster, we got another week, but
I just wanted to tell you thankyou.
I appreciate you from thebottom of my heart and I believe
you are brutally made.
So here's my crazy differentkinds of bunny sketches.

(13:48):
Wow, that colorful one issomething else.
That's what you happens whenyou're doodling.
It's not supposed to be.
You know something serious.
So have a great weekend, besafe and I will talk to you next
time.
Take care Bye.
