(00:45):
execute that in a spiritualpractice that will help them to
stay in alignment and onpurpose. Please enjoy the show
and listen to what our guesttoday has to say about this very
topic. Welcome back. Beate herefrom The Growth Architect and I
have an interesting topic today.
I'm talking to Hanna Bier arounddynamics, around money as it
(01:07):
involves our family dynamics.
And how many times have we heardthe things that our parents say,
Money doesn't grow in trees? Orwho do you think you are to
deserve that? And so we're goingto dive in today around not just
these old things that have beensaid to you and how to erase
(01:28):
them, but also around, how doyou even understand where your
money mindset come from, andwhat can you do about it?
Hannah, I'm excited to have youon the show. Thank you so much
for being here.
Hanna Bier (01:38):
I'm so excited. I've
been looking forward to this all
day. Excellent,
BEATE CHELETTE (01:42):
Hanna, for
somebody who's not familiar with
your work or with what you do,will you tell them who you are
and what problem do you solvefor your clients?
Hanna Bier (01:50):
Yes, I'm a money
coach and energy healer. I help
ambitious women release theirresistance to receiving money,
to making really a really greatincome, being really profitable
in their creative businesses.
I'm also an author. I wrote abook called "Wealth From
Within." And when I'm notworking my variety of magic, I'm
baking today. It was bananabread muffins, and I'm spending
(02:10):
time with my young daughter,
BEATE CHELETTE (02:13):
excellent. I did
have your book until it burned,
so I do not have it anymore. Myentire business, business book
collection in my office iseverything's gone. Let's talk
about, what does a money coachdo? So you said you help people
to understand their mindsetaround money. We've talked about
money mindset before, but youwere very specific about how
(02:36):
this surrounds families. Give usa framework that we can get our
head around what that means.
Yeah,
Hanna Bier (02:42):
before I was a money
coach, my specialty was
emotional healing, traumaresolution, especially around
our family of origin, many of myclients came to me who had been
who had done decades worth oftherapy. Many of my clients were
therapists and mental healthprofessionals themselves, and it
still felt like they werewalking around with this really
(03:02):
dark cloud. So before I movedinto money coaching, that was
everything that I did all daylong, and as a side effect of
the work that we were doing, myfans heard having all of these
amazing money miracles show up,where suddenly they felt really
confident. They felt like theycould move forward in their
businesses. They felt like itwas really easy for them to be
seen. Money showed up out ofnowhere. Insurance has started
(03:26):
paying. Clients started signingup again. The spouse got a
promotion. The parents finallystarted being more organized
with their finances. And sothat's how I started shifting
into money coaching, because somany of my clients request it to
really work on the money piece.
What makes my work different isthat I'm a Family Constellation
therapist, so I really take yourfamily of origin into
(03:48):
consideration. All of us knowthat our biggest issues come
from our family of origin, butmost of us don't know how to
work with that. So we try tomeditate away our confidence
issues, or we try to read allthe all the financial planners,
and we try to invest in and, youknow, send out resumes. We
seemingly do all the greatthings. And yet for many of us,
(04:09):
it still feels like money isthis elusive, terrifying, really
confusing topic that we can'tever really figure out. And so
in my own relationship withmoney, until I started to
understand how my family historyimpacted my finances, and felt
just as confused. And then, through bringing the family
(04:29):
piece in, I started to connectsome dots, and I was able to
make some forward progress. I
BEATE CHELETTE (04:37):
found this
absolutely fascinating, so let's
talk about family dynamics in ina previous show, I had shared
that my earliest money memorywas getting caught stealing 25
cent out of my mother's walletbecause I wanted to buy candy
after church, because all theother kids were buying candy
after church, and I couldn'tbecause I didn't have allowance,
(04:59):
and the result. Of it was twovery different responses. My
mother, of course, immediatelywanted to send me back to church
to confess my sins and dopenance, and my father simply
said, Oh, I guess it's time forallowance, so that you know that
they'll learn how to how tomanage money. So talk to me sort
of how this example relates tofamily dynamics, or what are
(05:20):
some of these aspects of familydynamics around money?
Hanna Bier (05:24):
Yeah, one of the
core things to understand is
that the way that your moneyflows today directly correlates
with how love flowed between youand mom and dad when you were
little, or between you and yourmain caregivers when you were
little. So for example, if youwere little and it always felt
like money, like love wasscarce, that you can never eat,
(05:45):
you can never get enough love, even though your parents tried
their best, and they tried toparent in the best way that they
know how, and maybe they hadlimited capacity, both
emotionally or time wise, toreally take care of you, if your
felt sense at the time was, Ican never Get Enough, like I
always have this hunger formore. Many of my clients later
on also experience the theme intheir relationship with money,
(06:07):
where they're always wanting, always craving, and they can
never fully get there. So it'sthis feeling of never enough,
perpetually never enough. I havesome clients who make great
money. They make 3040, 50k, amonth, and they have nothing
left at the end of the day, it'salmost like, yeah, it's like,
it's like, the money justvanishes, like the math doesn't
even make sense. And thoseclients often come to me and
(06:29):
they'll say, Hannah, what isgoing on? Like, am I cursed?
Like, is there a poltergeist?
It's just it makes no sense atall. And so the other camp that
I work with are people who didreceive a lot of love from their
parents, but it was veryvolatile. You know, where
sometimes you receive love andguidance and sometimes not, or
you had to be the good littlegirl, good little boy. You had
(06:51):
to really behave well in orderto receive money. For those
clients, later on, it oftenfeels like they either have to
perform or retrieve themselvesto make money. So it's never
really worth it. So money alwayscomes at a significant pain. Or
they're on this constantemotional roller coaster. Those
clients as well were like, making money is no problem, you
know, but I always have thesereally traumatic, tragic things
(07:15):
happening. Or I make a lot, Ilose a lot, I make a lot, I lose
a lot, and they're on the samecamp as the first group of
clients, where they don't reallyhave anything at the end of the
day. And so from my perspective, what's more important than what
your parents said specificallyabout money, is your perception
of how easy it is to receivelove in the world, because that
(07:38):
shape how you then create moneyin your life later on. So when
you were little, your parentswere supposed to be your main
source of love and care. As yougrow up, pleased at love and
care with money. You use moneyto buy nutritious food. You use
money to have a comfortablehome. You use money to travel
across the country to go to yourbest friend's wedding, you use
(08:00):
money to buy medical things thatyour insurance doesn't cover. So
we use money to love ourselves.
And so if we don't have thisinternal capacity to receive and
have and enjoy a lot of money, there will always be this, like
longing, this aching inside ofus.
BEATE CHELETTE (08:17):
I like this a
lot that you are putting this in
relationship to how much love wehave received. Because in my own
history, I look at that love wasvery volatile, because I have a
mentally unstable mother andexperienced a fair amount of
(08:38):
childhood abuse. My father wasabsent a lot, so when he came,
there was a lot of love, but forshort periods of time, because
he ran away and with my mother,it was just never safe, like I
had to be always watchful aboutthis. So no wonder that the
money kind of has its owndynamic, like sometimes it goes
(08:59):
amazing, and then there is thesedry spells. So now you explain
it to me like that, I think itmakes a lot of sense to say it's
almost like whatever thoughttakes over, or whatever primary
emotion takes over, or whatevermental state I might be in, kind
of like directs where I am. Sofor somebody now who's listening
(09:21):
to this and says, Hannah, here'sthe truth. I'm working really
hard. I'm doing everything thatI'm I can possibly do. I went to
school, I got the degree, I didthe leap. I'm running my own
business, but I'm constantly inthis roller coaster. Sometimes
it goes well, sometimes itdoesn't. What are we going to
(09:43):
tell them? Like, how do we tellthem to solve this issue of
because they're meditating, they're doing the mantras on
money. I'm abundant, I amdeserving. I love myself. So
they're doing all of that, butthe money is still not flowing.
Where is it buried? The thingthat needs to be solved,
Hanna Bier (10:01):
yes, but you can
think of your you can think of
the Family Constellation therapywork as preparing the soil of
your abundance garden. Soeverything that you're growing
and building, and all the likeseeds you're planting, all the
pruning that you're doing andthe watering, and everything
that you're doing, it is so muchwork to grow a garden, and
you're hardly doing all theright things to grow the garden.
(10:23):
But if the soil is nutritiousand the soil is really dry and
the soil is just not in a goodcondition, you can work so hard
and you will just not get theharvest that you want. And it's
frustrating, and it I know wealways think it's us, and then
we question our intelligence andwhether we're really as capable
as we are, and did we reallydeserve all the success that
(10:44):
we've had thus far, and shouldwe keep going with everything
that we've been working on? Butthe place that I always
recommend we start is we reallybring your family of origin into
order, and we resolve thebiggest dysfunctional dynamics
in your family of origin, whichreally opens up your capacity to
receive love and to receivesuccess and to have money like
(11:07):
this. Most of us have a reallycomplicated relationship with
money, where our body does allsorts of things around money.
For me, it was always, anytimethat I got money from the ATM,
it felt like somebody punched mein the gut, like I just wanted
to throw up, or it often feltlike there was no point in even
planning for the future, because, like, the rut could be
pulled out from underneath myfeet at any moment, because I
(11:27):
felt so unsupported by my familyof origin. Once we bring all of
those things into order, all thethings that you're doing will
become a lot more fruitful. Youknow now, when my clients say,
Oh, I'm going to do a subliminalor I'm going to do a meditation,
or I'm going to launch newoffer. It's all really
successful right away, becausethe soil is nutritious, and so
(11:49):
it's like, it's like theelephant hiding in plain sight.
You know? It's like the elephantin the room. We're working on
everything, but the stuff thattruly matters, and that is our
family of origin. How
BEATE CHELETTE (12:01):
do I do that? So
I now know that there's an
issue, and so I come to someonelike you, so give us like an
example, so that we can bringthis to life, for someone to
say, Okay, if I want to do this, this is what it would look like.
Yeah,
Hanna Bier (12:16):
we could even do it
together. And just so I can show
you guys what your family ordercurrently looks like. That's the
place that I always start withall clients. And we can bring
some order into your family oforigin, and then we're gonna see
what we can ship with yourmoney. It's very simple. I love
BEATE CHELETTE (12:35):
that. Let's do
it, yeah. I mean, I literally
just lost everything, so I thinkopening the flow of money back
in is a good thing,
Hanna Bier (12:44):
amazing. Let's do
it. So anybody who's driving you
can totally do this with theireyes open, but then go back to
the recording at a later timeand just re listen to this
episode so you can do itproperly and take notes.
Everybody else, close your eyes.
BEATE CHELETTE (12:57):
All right. Let's
do it. And everybody not a
meditator, all right, we're init. Let's do it perfect.
Hanna Bier (13:04):
And all the people
who aren't meditators and a
little bit ADHD, you can dothis. This is so simple. Just
picture a room. There you go,and then picture yourself walk
into the room, stand in thecenter of the room, and then
have your biological mom walkinto the room and find a place
to stand, and your biologicaldad as well. It's okay if you
(13:25):
don't know them. It's okay ifthey are deceased, it's okay if
they're institutionalized orincarcerated. It's okay if you
are in no contact with them.
It's also okay if you have beenadopted, if you've been adopted,
also have your adoptive parentswalk into the room and find a
place to stand.
BEATE CHELETTE (13:43):
Okay, all right.
So do you want me to share thiswith you, or are we waiting
until you've taken me throughthe whole exercise?
Hanna Bier (13:49):
Let me ask you one
more question. Just look at the
room, see where everybody'sstanding, and tell me what the
vibe is.
BEATE CHELETTE (13:56):
The vibe is.
They definitely have nothing todo with each other. My dad is a
little bit more warm. My motheris somewhere in an outer corner,
facing away, barely visible, outof sight, almost. And my dad's
like sitting in this comfy chairwith a reading light and a book.
And he's very present, veryclose.
Hanna Bier (14:16):
Okay, lovely. And
then have your siblings walk
into the room as well, only yourbiological full siblings for
now.
BEATE CHELETTE (14:26):
Yes, I have a
sister and I have a brother, and
my sister is like, standingright there with me, my brother.
Yeah, I don't even know where mybrother is actually. My brother
is kind of elusive in in thismoment, he He's present, but
he's not really there.
Hanna Bier (14:42):
Perfect. That's very
insightful. You're doing so
well, then look around the roomand see which part of the room
represents the future. And soeverybody's following the future
BEATE CHELETTE (14:54):
is behind me,
actually, interestingly enough,
yep, like I'm facing. Into theroom and the future is behind
me. Lovely.
Hanna Bier (15:03):
Okay, great for
anybody following along who's
like, What do you mean thefuture? Many people feel that
there is an open wall. Manypeople feel that there is an
open space. Many people feelthat there is a painting or a
window or a door, you know. Sofor BEATE, it was behind her,
she instantly had this knowingof where the future is. And so
(15:25):
if you need a little longerthat's okay, just look around
and just your first instinct ofwhat might be the future, it's
just perfectly and then turnaround so that you're facing the
future. And then if you'rereally, really, really close to
the future, and you can't evenreally see it, you might want to
create some space. So in thatcase, you can take a couple of
steps back and just kind of findthe right place, the place where
(15:49):
your body starts to relax, wherethere is this really effortless
click, where it just feelsright. And then tell me BEATE
when you have it.
BEATE CHELETTE (15:58):
Yeah. I mean to
me, this is the visual that I
see is just a very bright, warmlight, and it's just glowing. I
can't really make out anything.
It's just very, just abeautiful, you know, it's in
star, conscious of what's behindme now that I turned around,
whereas before, the room waskind of dark and gloomy, with
the exception of my dad and thechair and my sister next to me.
(16:20):
But now, as I turn around, I seethis, you know, this, this light
and this really inviting, butunknown. It feels very unknowing
to me, like I can't makeanything out. It's just light.
Yeah,
Hanna Bier (16:35):
I love it probably
symbolizes unlimited
possibility.
BEATE CHELETTE (16:41):
A lot of
unlimited possibilities. It's
been just such a such achallenge with losing
everything. This is like I'vebeen thinking about, you know,
what is the future? And youcan't even figure out what the
heck the future is, because youdon't know what the future is,
because your entire past justburned. But let's continue.
Hanna Bier (16:59):
Okay, so for
everybody following along, just
a reminder that we're workingwith the souls of your family
members. So if you'veexperienced some trauma with
family members, again, ifanybody is deceased, if there
are people who you don'tactually really know or don't
feel comfortable being in thesame room with in real life,
that's okay, but working withthe purest soul parts of them,
(17:20):
the most loving parts of them, the version that they were if,
if the trauma hadn't happened tothem, if the hard things hadn't
happened to them. So okay, sonow we're gonna have your mom
walk up to you and stand behindyour left shoulder, also facing
(17:40):
the future, and depending onyour relationship and your
history with her, you might wantto draw a red circle on the
ground, a little boundary, sothat you can receive the good
that your mom can give you. Themost important thing is that
through your mom, you receivethe gift of life, the greatest
gift anybody could have givenyou, in a way you will always
(18:01):
bedebted to your mom for it. Andwe also want you to receive all
the good that your mom can giveyou, all the ways that you are
like her. Would like to be likeher, all the positive so the
boundary allows you to receiveall the good and bond with your
mom in all the positive ways, and it keeps out all the
negatives, so you can just leavethat So draw the boundary. Kind
(18:24):
of create some more spacebetween you and her, if that
feels good. And we're going todo the same with your dad. So
your dad is going to walk up,stand behind your right
shoulder, draw a boundary so youcan receive the good. Leave the
rest. Create some space untilthere is a click, and it feels
right. If you have been missingout on one of your parents,
(18:47):
where one parent was absent, oneparent died really early, if you
kind of missed out on some dadlove or some mom love, just kind
of face them a little more withyour back and then lean back a
little bit into them and justallow all the love and all the
life versus energy that youshould have always had flow into
(19:11):
you, if you've got any bodyaches and pains, any serious
medical issues that nobody seemsto have an answer for, allow
light to flow into that part ofyou and lean back into both
parents, allow the soul parts ofthem, the purest parts of them,
the most loving parts of them, the totally safe parts of them,
(19:33):
to fill you in with all thepositive that they can bring
you. Trust at the boundary, keepeverything else away and in the
field, in Family Constellationtherapy, everything always
balances out. So any not so wisechoices that we make, we always
have to kind of clean it upourselves. So trust that your
(19:56):
parents will kind of have toright their wrongs. In their own
way. At some point, you don'thave to hold grudges. You don't
have to bring anything tojustice. Your only job is to
receive all the good, all thesupport, all the love, all the
life versus energy you alwaysshould have had. And then
picture behind your parents, rows and rows and rows of
(20:18):
ancestors and all their love andall their care for you. And so
the job that you have as theyounger generation is to do life
a little better and a littledifferently than them. So the
way that you're honoring them isby taking excellent care of
yourself, by choosing a greatcareer, making great money,
(20:41):
keeping keeping an even greaterprofit, allowing your wealth to
grow. All right, you still haveto do your sibling almost there,
okay, just to fill in, you knowthis little riddle, all right,
so your older sibling gets to beto your left, your younger
sibling gets to be to yourright, have your older sibling
(21:03):
take a slight step forward andyour younger sibling a slight
step back. If you're the middlechild, this means that you're
the middle of a diagonal line.
If you're the eldest, it meansthat you're a little bit further
away from your parents. Ifyou're the youngest, means that
you get to be a little closer,so the eldest get to pave the
way, and the youngest get tofollow a little bit. And so
(21:25):
think about if you're theyoungest or if you're the
middle. Think about your oldersiblings and all the good that
they can offer you and all thefootsteps that you can walk
Perfect. All right, so you're inthe right order. Now you're in
the right role. There's spacefor you to be you. You don't
(21:46):
have to be Mom, you don't haveto be Dad, you don't have to
carry your entire family. Youdon't have to fix big family
dynamics and patterns that havebeen going on for generations.
Your only job is to be in theright role for you, is to play
your role, your role of child, your role of daughter, your role
of youngest, oldest middlesibling, and then look ahead
(22:10):
into the future and so many youstart this visualization facing
the Wrong Way, sitting down, lying down, taking care of
another family member, and sothey kind of have no space to
thrive and build anything. Butnow that you're freely facing
the future, you can put thingsin front of you. You can put
(22:32):
your kids in front of you, yourcareer, your project, big life
goals in front of you. You canuse all the life versus energy
you're receiving from yourfamily of origin to really make
it happen, to bring it tofruition. It's like the tank of
your car is full and you can goand there is nothing in your
family. There is nothing for youto do. It's been absolved of any
burdens that you've beencarrying, and you've got all the
(22:56):
support from your family knowingthat your the souls of your
parents and your family wantnothing more than for you to
thrive. The best parts of themwant you to be happy, want you
to be wealthy, and want you todo life better and differently
than that. So you've got thisfull encouragement, and now look
(23:17):
into your future and just allowyour intuition to tell you what
it is to focus on, what it is tobuild, and then curl your lips
into a smile, blink your eyesopen. How was that, Beate? Oh,
BEATE CHELETTE (23:36):
my God, that was
amazing. I loved the idea of
creating the boundary andsaying, I accept the good and I
do not want the craziness and toput things where they belong in
the family, you know, as themiddle child, but I was always
the trailblazer. So I think thegetting the the family
(24:00):
constellation in a classic modelwhere it should be feels, kind
of felt very comforting to me.
So, yeah, that was, that wasamazing. So the so the strategy
here is right? Because we alwaystalk about the spiritual aspect,
and we talk about the strategicimplementation. And I'm just
going to ask the question pointblank. So if somebody is having
(24:21):
issues with money, it hassomething to do with that things
are not where they should be, intheir mental picture, in their
dynamic in their energeticvibration. Give me a couple
pointers around that on howsomebody can use this for
(24:41):
business. How do I invite money, prosperity, success, whatever
that means for me, into mybusiness using your strategies.
Yeah,
Hanna Bier (24:55):
so family
consultation, therapy really
clears our soul path so many. Myclients come to me, and they
have chosen to go to universityto study something in order to
subconsciously honor their dad,and then they've chosen to not
be confident in order to bondlike their mom. And so all this,
like all the cobwebs from thefamily system, muddle the whole
(25:16):
picture. So they take actionshere that are unfruitful.
They're not fruitful. They don'teven have a clear enough picture
of what they want. And then oncewe've cleared up the family
dynamics, my clients are oftenreally clear where they say, Oh,
I just need to sell four of thisoffer in order to make this
money this month. And then I'mgonna, you know, keep 50% of it,
(25:38):
and the rest goes toward taxesand expenses and my personal
income, and I'm going to investthis money and let it grow. And
so once these hiddenentanglements are gone, our
perfect profits money becomes soobvious, and my clients can
easily tell me and implement itright away. And so for the
listeners who participated inthis, really go back into the
(26:01):
visualization and think what isthe fastest, most effective,
most elegant path to make alovely, great income and to keep
a ton of profit. And so it's the8020 rule, right? It's probably
not the cluttered actions thatyou've been taking where you
don't even really know whyyou're doing them. It's probably
(26:21):
the 20% and have been gettingyou a lot of money all along.
And so my hope is that thefamily consolation piece will
free you up to do the thing thathas been proven to be most
effective all along,
BEATE CHELETTE (26:33):
because so
simple, and it's so simple,
we've talked about this on theshow too. Sometimes people get
so caught up in the internetmarketing world and the 1000s of
customers. Who wants 1000s ofcustomers. I mean, if we really
honest about it, focus on thenext 10. Focus on the next 20.
If you have 20 good clients thatare paying you $5,000 a pop,
(26:55):
you're going to be in okayshape. You know, to take that
then to the next step and thenext step, and then you focus on
the 20 clients that give you$10,000 and then on the 20
clients that give you $100,000so we we really want to go the
easiest way, not in the mostcomplicated let's do all these
crazy things. Let's focus onwhat we can do today to bring
(27:18):
the next client in with thefirst whatever, couple $1,000
and then where's the next one, just to get the cash flow going.
So I love that the simplicity isgood. And I like your idea of
saying we don't need to go intotherapy for years here, we're
just putting things where theybelong, and we using
visualization mindset and alsomind control, because talk to me
(27:43):
about is it difficult for mostpeople that you work with to let
some of these old things gobecause there's a lot of people,
or there are people thatsometimes have difficulties
releasing things, because it isthe story that They're telling
themselves. How do you deal withthat when it comes to your work
(28:04):
and money?
Hanna Bier (28:05):
Yeah, I love that
Family Constellation therapy
works in the morphic field ofyour family system. So the
morphic field is the is like thefamily soul. It's the energetic
field that wraps around thefamily and connects all members
of your family. On a soul level.
It's actually well researched inbiology. Biologists call so the
morphic field is what informs aflock of birds to fly in a V
(28:27):
formation, for example, like thebirds could fly in any direction
they choose to fly in a Vformation. And even if a little
bird falls out of the nest, thebird still knows how to migrate,
like they still know where togo. Butterflies, when they
migrate south, they still have avery specific journey that they
take. And it's just so amazinghow it's wired into a family of
(28:47):
animals. And so it's the samewith human beings. Family
Constellation therapy goes somuch deeper than our thoughts go
so much cheaper than oursubconscious mind. It goes so
much deeper than all themessages that we've been
hearing, all the noise aboutmoney, all the negative
imprints, and it rewires us atsuch a deep level that it's
almost like the other stuffbecomes really easy to shift up.
(29:11):
Or sometime, if you've got areally deep wiring of I always
have an overflow of loveeverywhere I go, all the
resources I need. I receive themeasily. People are lining up to
work with me. People love me. Assoon as they connect with me, my
clients stay and tell everybodyabout me, and they sign up over
and over. People love giving memoney. I love seeing my money
(29:33):
grow. I sleep soundly at night.
I have so much money always. I'ma great money maker. Regardless
of what's going on in theeconomy, there are always people
who are excited to work with me,excellently taken care of in
every way. If that is yourdeepest level, it overrides
anything like you don't have tobe doing years of mindset work
(29:55):
because you're so deeply wired.
You know, think about an exampleof, you know, maybe a kid that
you're. Member from school whogrew up being really successful,
even though they're probably notas intelligent as you are, but
maybe also not as much of a hardworker as you are, but they have
this really deep wiring ofworthiness and deservedness
around love, around well, being, around safety, around
(30:18):
significance, all those likesofter qualities that we're
trying to make happen with theuse of money. And so imagine
you're so deeply wired like thatperson we could put you in any
in any in any business, in anyprofession, in any situation,
you'd be thriving financially. Ithink sometimes it's so tedious
(30:38):
to chip away at the mindsetstuff where we could just work
on on a much deeper level andget it done much faster.
