five F's, understanding yourfuture, your facts, and your
figures, your feelings, andobtaining the right amount of
feedback. With these five F's,it'll help you dissect your
decisions into sort ofdigestible components, allowing
you to gather your thoughts, clarify your ideas, and take
decisive action, not only foryou, but also you can use this

framework with your team. I'vegot a downloadable framework at

the number five, the letter Fand the letter s. And it takes
you through all of this as well.
And we're going to dig down eachweek on a different F and
dissect it a little bit andunderstand how each of these
pieces of the puzzle will helpyou make even better decisions.
(02:56):
There are statistics out therethat say we make about 35,000
decisions in a day. And you knowwhat, as the business owner,
that doesn't surprise me. Butwhat is interesting is that a
lot of the decisions that youmay be making a run lower level
decisions. I've got this thingaround decision making that says
decisions should be made at thelowest possible level of the
(03:19):
organisation. And with a tooland framework like this. It
allows people to get thecraziness out of their heads
onto paper clarify what we'retrying to go through, understand
the decision and be able to makethe decision. Like everything I
do at simplifyingentrepreneurship. It's all
around creating and simplifyingsome things so that you can move
(03:39):
ahead and take actionable stepsto have a better future for your
life as the business owner. Somany of the business owners I
work with are stuck at some sortof glass ceiling essentially.
And usually it involves makingbigger decisions, they feel
paralysed around those or theyfeel sort of stuck in a position
and they don't know how topursue and get through. Well,
(04:02):
that's what the whole point ofthe five F decision making
process is, you know, theprocess of growth and
improvement is always ongoing.
And there's always more tolearn. And design already is
here to support you and everystep of the way, providing that
solid foundation on which youcan build these decision making
(04:25):
skills. It should be part ofyour ritual this year in
becoming a better decisionmaker. It's time to leave behind
the sleepless nights anduncertainty and embrace a future
filled with clarity, confidenceand momentum. You know, we
aren't born as good decisionmakers but transforming your
approach to decision makingwon't happen overnight. But with
(04:47):
the persistence and dedication, you will see things improving
not only for you but for all ofthe team members in your
business. So are you ready totake the first step towards
better decision making an onionleash the full potential of your
small business? Well, it's timeto dive in together and explore
these five apps, and unlock thesecrets to making decisions that
will not only help your businessdominate, but also to transform
(05:10):
your role from operator toowner. You've heard that line
before, right? It's this idea,hey,
if I actually want to be theowner of my business, and not
the manager or operator of it,then I need to have and help
other people make decisions withme and for me, right? If your
(05:30):
team's coming to you regularlyand asking you questions, and
your response, at least in yourhead is, why don't they just do
this, then you've got some workto do. And because you're not
helping them make decisions, andyou're not giving them the
authority to carry the decisionsthrough, right? These are all
pieces of the puzzle in order togo from operator and move from
(05:53):
operator to owner in yourbusiness. And when you start
embracing the five F frameworkand watch your decisions
transform from the sources ofstress and confusion, to
catalysts for growth andsuccess. Well, that's when it
gets fun and exciting. So foreach of the next five weeks,
we're going to dig into one ofthese five apps. And I'll say
them again, because I think it'ssuper important here along the
(06:16):
way. But we start with thefuture. What does the future
look like for this decision?
Understanding the facts, atleast as we know them now, the
figures as we know them now, what are the stats in the
dollars and all of the differentthings that we can pull
together? Understand thefeelings of everybody involved
in this decision? Because, well, like our five p framework that
we've gone through earlier inthis podcast, you know, the
(06:38):
people such a big piece of thepuzzle, so we have to actually
take into consideration all thefeelings of the people involved
in this decision. And last butnot least, the feedback and get
all of the feedback from all ofthe sources that we can in order
to make the best decisionpossible.
(07:00):
These five steps are going tohelp you become a better leader
in your business, make quickerdecisions that will have bigger
impact on your business and onyour personal life. I'm excited
to go through this with you andshare the five apps for better
decision making. It's time tostart deciding. So join me next
week as we dig into the first ofthe five apps understanding the
(07:22):
future of the decision. Now goand make it a great day.
