First, I want to acknowledge that the “bounce back” culture is real. Moms are often expected to get back into pre-pregnancy weight before our kids are even 3 months old. I found it very difficult to work out my first year between the new baby, work and all the pumping – also – the decrease in milk supply.

This episode is not about “bouncing back” but about a mom who does what she loves without letting breastfeeding get in the way of that. If you are ready to get back into working out and want to get some inspiration, you should listen to this episode. Monica talks about how she ran the Austin and New York Marathon while pregnant and pumping. She goes through her flexible training schedule as well as how she mastered the challenge of a drop in her milk supply.

In this episode we also touch on tongue ties and VBAC – a vaginal birth after cesarean and how she was able to have her second child vaginally when she did have a cesarean with her first… it is possible!

I know Monica did not have a bra recommendation, but I would like to take this opportunity to once again suggest the Ollie Gray bra here!
