Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't think people
understand that.
Like, if you do research on thecrucifixion and the scorching
after that second hit, all thatblood that came out.
He was supposed to die, but hisdeity stepped in and kept him
here because he was supposed tobecome a curse for us.
One of my favorite scripturesin the Bible is John 17, where
(00:23):
Jesus prayed for the apostlesand he prayed for us.
A lot of times people missedthat.
Like Jesus prayed for us,brethrenic, he prayed for us.
Yeah, he prayed for us.
He loved us that much that hewent to the Father and prayed
(00:44):
for us because he knows some ofus was going to be some
knuckleheads.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Some of us were going
to be out there doing us and
doing what we want to do.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
He prayed for us and
in praying for us we have to
always remember Call by Godpodcast is not about Nick and
Adne.
Call by God podcast is aboutthe remembrance of what God did
for Nick and Adne, what Christdid for us and the world yeah,
yeah, and the world.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Welcome to the Call

(01:36):
Let's have a brief discussionabout, I guess, the Jordan, the
origin.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Mercy, mercy.
The origin of Jordan.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
But before we talk
about the podcast, I want people
to understand that wheneverthey decide to do anything out
of any capacity for the kingdomof God, that attacks do come,
and that's a good thing, though.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, that means that
you don't want you to do it.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Yeah, I can recall
when our minister he said
anytime you said oh Lord, use me, I want to go ahead and
increase my territory, I want todo big things.
Satan is like looking aroundand be like OK, let me, let me
rock his or her boat.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Let's see if they're
going to be faithful.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Yeah, and I want
people to understand that.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
So let's talk about,
before the podcast, pre-pandemic
.
What were you doingpre-pandemic?
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Oh, pre-pandemic.
As a matter of fact, before thepandemic hit I was.
I used to love watching redtable talks and I said it would
be so beautiful to be able to dosomething like that in the
church, because there arecertain conversations that are
(02:59):
not being had in the church, because people are uncomfortable
, they don't want to have theconversation of premarital sex,
they don't want to have theconversation of homosexuality.
So I was like I could create aplatform and literally a lawyer
later on my heart like thiswould be so good for the church
because it's not only a tool toevangelize but it allows members
(03:22):
of the body of Christ to openup and share their heart.
Basically, Right.
And the thing was for me I comefrom the fire and brimstone
because when I was baptizedthat's what you ain't a member
of the church of Christ goinghell type situation, right, and
(03:43):
it's like God needed my mind toshift and seeing those different
dynamics and not seeing them inthe body he was like.
This is where I need your heartto shift, because there are
people who are having premaritalsex.
You were one of them.
You understand what I'm saying.
There are people who deal withhomosexuality.
There are people who are inadulterous relationships.
(04:06):
They marry, but whether they'recheating on their wives with
porn or they're cheating ontheir wives with someone else,
it's cheating.
It's cheating.
And I said just to have thosediscussions to put it out there
so people can know Like you'renot the only one right this
Christian journey.
It is like Paul says, it's notfor the switch, it's a process
(04:30):
you genuinely go through.
It's like preparing to run amarathon.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
You got to get your
body together right.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
You got to start
running.
Right, so to get your enduranceup.
You got to eat right, you gotto drink enough fluids and you
got to continue the processright.
Sometimes you even have to hiresomeone to go through the
process with you.
So when it gets time for you torun this marathon, you're ready
(05:02):
.
But the Christian journey isthe same exact way.
The only difference is ourcoach dwells inside of us.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
The.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Holy Spirit, but if
we're quenching that spirit and
not feeding that spirit, whogoing to coach us?
Because he's silent, you can'thear him, because you have too
many things going on and thecoach is like OK, I need you to
stop, because I need us to startdoing some workouts right.
I need you to start readingyour word, I need to start
(05:30):
breaking you and getting youprepared, because this journey,
again, it's a marathon, it's nota sprint, it's not for the swim
.
You got to really take yourtime and not rush the process
right, and I think that's one ofthe things that I had to learn
with that tabletop.
So, 2020, no lie.
(05:52):
The world shut down on mybirthday, march.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Really yes.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
March 16.
16.
March 18, 2020.
Wow, my dean said, yeah, we gotto send everybody home.
I had plans.
When I tell you, my brother, mysister and I we were planning
on taking the family that wentto celebrate me at this place.
I always went to go in Florida, called Barton G's right, and
(06:21):
the world shut down.
I said really, like really.
And through that time at home, god showed me some things.
He was like you're not in arelationship with me because
you're treating me like your dad, your earthly dad.
I'm not him.
(06:41):
So those were some of thethings that he had to show and
reveal to me.
So one thing I learned aboutthe pandemic is it was more than
a pandemic.
I have a sister in Christ thatsays it's a pandemic.
So many people birthed so manythings in the pandemic Some for
good, some for evil, right, butwhat I noticed was there was
(07:07):
more gospel truth being preachedduring the pandemic.
There were more ministers thatI saw who were just hurting, and
when I say I saw the pain, because it's like these men are
preaching to empty seats.
(07:30):
You've seen the fatigue andthey still had to do it every
single day and I'm like, wow,and they're doing this for us,
to keep us encouraged, and yourwife and I every year we do it
fast.
And I told her I said we haveto pray for these men of God
during this pandemic, because ithas to be hard.
(07:55):
It is.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
It is.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
I visited Renaissance
several times and they have a
huge like.
It's huge, like huge right.
So I'm like I can only imagine.
I don't know how tall Orpheusis, but only imagine his little
body preaching to them emptyseats.
Scratch that Our minister, brother Daniels, with our
(08:19):
edifice, how big that ispreaching to empty seats and the
hearts of men to me, honestly, was revealed during the pandemic
and it broke my heart, becausethere are some people who left,
there are some people who werenever there, they were just
warming the seats, and there aresome people who assassinated
(08:42):
the character of a lot of men ofGod Because they didn't
understand, like, why don't youknow to help me?
And it's like I'm trying tofigure this out for myself.
So, for me, what the pandemicshowed me was I needed to
intercede more.
I needed not just for them, butjust for me, for my family, my
(09:08):
loved ones, friends.
And then I lost my brotherright, and that was 2020, yeah,
yeah, 2020.
After we started this after wesaid yeah, after you called me
and said hey, sis, this is whatthe Lord laid on my heart.
And I'm in this lift-headed home.
This is like the Holy Spiritwhispered in my heart and said
(09:28):
this is the assignment I havefor you.
And I said, OK, count me in,Because I was planning this
whole tabletop, Got my subjectstogether, everything I wanted to
talk about, and it was justlike desire stopped.
And that's the thing thatpeople don't understand.
We re-hubbucket and we thinkthose visions, that vision that
(09:50):
God is talking about, is aboutus.
No, it's about his vision andhis plan.
Right, He'll show you something.
But you're thinking, oh, thisis the direction he wants you to
go, and God is like, no, youhave no clue of what I want.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
So when you called me
that day and said, hey, you
know, I was talking to my wifeabout this and she said you were
the perfect person and it'sjust like OK, god, what you
doing.
And the Holy Spirit said thisis the assignment.
And when you asked, I said OK,this is what the Lord wants me
to do.
That's why that desire for thetabletops.
It stopped Because it wasliterally all about what he
(10:31):
wanted and it was the call byGod podcast.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah, wow.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
How did you fare
before a journey?
Oh, I didn't even talk aboutthe loss of my brother after all
of this, but it was a journey.
It has been a journey.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
It has been a journey
.
It's been a journey Yep.
Yeah, it was tough for me.
If we dating back to 2019, infact before 2020, we had a major
loss in my family, as you know,my wife yeah, my mother-in-law
passed.
So that was huge for us because, as you know, my wife had a
(11:11):
very tight tight-knitrelationship.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
She was the baby girl
.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yeah, with her mom.
So, and that was the year thatmy daughter graduated high
school.
It was just so many things thatwas going on in 2019.
I believe that was the yearthat I got in a car accident.
So I got it.
Yeah, I got in a car accidentin 2019, when my daughter
graduated, I got in a caraccident where the other car got
totaled and in that same yearmy mother-in-law died.
(11:38):
So we had like a tsunami justhit our household and we thought
, we thought we was beingfaithful.
We thought, just by going tochurch on Wednesday and Sunday,
that was it.
You know what I mean I'mtalking about like as a whole,
as a family.
(11:59):
So because you know everybody,we could do our ill individual
thing, but the family structureand to me, it showed me how much
of a loss, the impact of a lossof a loved one, could do for
the household.
Could that even be a comment?
I'm like because, remember, like men, we're not emotional.
So all this stuff is like mymother-in-law passed.
(12:21):
I'm like man, like how do Ilike comfort my wife, like what
do I do?
I mean, I know how to pray, I'ma prayer warrior, I know how to
pray, I can pray for her, butI'm talking about from an
earthly perspective, in terms ofher emotions.
I was stuck.
I didn't because, like I said,it was a lot going on my
mother-in-law car accident anddaughter graduated.
(12:42):
So we're trying to figure outwhat college she's going to go
to.
And boom 2020,.
You know, this 2020 wassupposed to be a powerful year.
We went to church.
What about having a vision 2020vision, yeah, it was supposed
to be.
We were supposed to have apowerful year in the Lord.
God was supposed to open upsome doors and do some major
(13:05):
things financially, spiritually,tangible blessings, spiritual
blessings.
We were supposed to have it all.
That was the year for thesaints.
Yup, yup, yup.
We were, we was, we wereclaiming it.
We were claiming it in the nameof Jesus, because I can recall
we went to when I was a NewYear's Eve.
New Year's Eve, we brought inthe New Year 2020.
(13:27):
So here it is, fast forward, three months later.
We're in March now and you knowwe heard little things about
you, things about the virus, here and there, but we really
didn't know because, you know, the government of Newsmeeter
wasn't really putting it outthere, but it was already out
there back in 2019.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, 2019.
Yeah, it was already out there.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
So, boom, march 2020
hit and boom we get a pandemic.
I'm like you gotta be kiddingme.
So in my mind, I always saythis in my own little brain, my
mind, I'm like man, there's anunknown virus that folks don't
know about.
I thought it was going to bethe end of humanity and I
(14:10):
thought a lot of people's goingto go to hell.
I just kept thinking about, like, so I started to kind of
you know, as the evangelistheart that you know, I have an
evangelist heart.
So I started thinking like man,did I plant enough seeds out
there?
Did I water enough?
Did I put a lot of water outthere?
Did I put a lot of seeds?
So I'm not, I'm not thinkingabout, like, my living situation
(14:32):
.
I wasn't even thinking about myliving situation yet Initially,
because, you know, when itcomes to death and the doomsday
of this earth, you're notthinking about tangible things,
you're not thinking about yourhouse, you're not thinking about
your cars, because you believethat all that stuff is just
vanity, it's just temporary,it's going to destroy anyway.
Chasing after the wind, yeah, soI was thinking about the human
(14:55):
soul, and I'm a Christian.
So you know, we, as Christians,we all said we're in a safe
house, we're safe, but it's rarethat we'll think about the
needs of others yeah, the onesthat are lost.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
So that's initially,
that's what I thought about.
I'm like man, god, like Iwonder if I'm in right standing
with you, that I put enough seedout there.
Yeah, because you never want tobe that individual that took
your talent and you hit it andthen when the Lord come, he like
hold up, I gave you one talent,I gave you three, I gave you
five.
Like, what did you do?
Did you multiply?
Yeah, people, people miss thatpart.
(15:26):
They think, oh yeah, I'm goingto heaven.
Yeah, but like, okay, you got agift, dude, you got your gift.
God gave you a gift.
What you're going to do withthat gift?
Yeah, so I said I said tomyself, like man, god, like, did
I put enough seed out there?
And I said God, like, if thisis the end of humanity.
(15:48):
So I started praying to God.
I'm like I got all money.
I could recall like it wasyesterday.
I was in my room and I prayedto God.
I said, god, I just hope that Idid everything that you called
me to do, because I don't knowwhere this virus is going to
take us and maybe the end of allof humanity.
We all may be destroyed Likeapocalypse and zombies, and we
(16:08):
all may be destroyed some waysomehow.
And I said, lord, I just wantto make sure that I did
everything that I possibly couldfor you.
Yeah, there are some things thatI wanted to do for the kingdom
of God that I never did and Ihad to reflect on that, such as
a podcast.
I eat podcast.
So, god, I put in my heart toopen up a podcast back in 2017.
(16:30):
I bought the equipment, Ibought the mikes, I bought the
computer.
I had all the gear and what Ilet.
I let distraction and I letfear get in the way.
So what I did?
I packed it all up and I soldit.
I said, god, this is not it,this is that.
(16:55):
Keep my, I'm gonna, I'm gonnaventure, I'll talk to you about
the Lord, but I like, god, comeon, like, really, a podcast.
Really, I was gonna startpodcast to 2017.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
So, 20, 20 years,
three years later.
Yeah, what is the number three?
Stand for Grace.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Grace the number
three.
Yeah, my brother and I, my dearbrother, brother, rod, you know
.
So Rod and I was in talk, wasalways talking about spiritual
things, and then Rodson and Iwas like man we got to put the
word out there Because Rodson, rodson, always told me, rodson
used to tell me this from thebeginning Rodson said like man,
(17:31):
if we got to, use our socialmedia.
Rod, you should always tell methat, like Nick, we got to use
our social media.
We got to use our social media.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Like to preach the
gospel and it was me that was
like man, I let man rod.
Like we're already talking topeople on the streets already
like why hit so?
Speaker 1 (17:48):
how do we leverage so
?
Speaker 2 (17:50):
yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah.
But I was like nah, I like nah,but it wasn't until the
pandemic 2020.
We're like man, we're like, look, we're going to do it
because if it's the end ofhumanity, we might just go all
out.
We might just just go all out.
So right now.
We went online and we did aseries.
God can reach you anywhere, youknow.
So we're sharing our testimony.
(18:10):
We went back in retrospect howGod being good to us and how God
can reach anybody anywhere, nomatter where they at right now.
So we just utilize ourtestimonies.
It was just a brief time.
We didn't go into detail, butwe just use certain clips of our
testimony and I forgot how longthe series was on Facebook Live
, but every week we would get onFacebook Live and we'd share
our testimony.
Robert shared his, I'll sharemine and we're like man.
(18:32):
We just hope people are touchedby our story and hopefully that
we motivated to get their livesto Christ before before the end
of humanity.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
And then Rod, rod and
I still felt like that wasn't
enough.
So I said man, we got to do itfast.
I said because it's a lot ofthings going on, a lot of
uncertainty, a lot of thingsgoing on.
And so Rod said and we did itfast, we did it fast for seven
days, we fast for seven days, and after the fast it just
something weird happened afterthe fast, Like it's like all
(19:02):
fear, like God is, like Nick, whatever I put in your heart,
you got to do, there's noexception.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
You got to do it.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah.
So after the fast, I remembertalking to my brother after the
fast, brother Rod, and he waslike yeah, man, we got to do
what God has called us to do.
Man, like we can't, we can't,we can't, we can't hinder this
stuff, we were too gifted we're.
It's not really about our gifts, but it's really about
salvation.
And then so I could recall Iwas in my home office.
(19:31):
I'll sit in my home office.
You know, I got a mic, computer.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
I'm like God the
country, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
That's how my band
had I remember, because you
remember I used to teach theSunday school, so I already had
all the yeah so all before thepandemic, you have to teach the
middle school kids.
So so during during the pandemic, I already had the mics and all
that already, because I donebought all that stuff and then
so, so.
So here I am, I'm in my home,I'm sitting down and it's like
(20:00):
man, I just like I could holdhere to.
Holy Spirit whispered to melike, use what you have to bring
me to glory.
And because I remember theeverything is closed down, the
country is shut down, nobody cango, nowhere, everybody on line.
Yeah Right, holy spirit, usewhat you had to bring me to
glory.
And I remember just looking upto see a mic, computer.
I'm like podcast.
(20:20):
Same thing.
I'm like podcast.
Oh my God, podcast really.
I didn't want to do no podcast.
I didn't want to do no podcast.
And then, and then I had tothink about, like man, if it's
the end of humanity, at least Igot an opportunity to put the
word of God out there.
And I also inviting otherbrothers and sisters on so they
(20:41):
could share their testimony.
How they came to God so thatother people could be encouraged
and be motivated to give theirlives to Christ as well.
And then that's how everythingstarted unfold.
I remember I kept telling mywife, I said I said, huh, I need
a female co-host because I saidI'm going to be talking to some
women, some sisters in thechurch and I may not relate,
like there's some questions thatI may not be able to ask them
(21:03):
that another woman could relateto.
Yeah, and then I just was justthrowing out some names out
there to my wife and she waslike, yeah, I said, and I said,
is that any?
She said that's the one, that'sthe one.
She said that's the one, andthat's what I call you.
I call you.
And I said, look, I'm sorry,podcast.
(21:24):
And you know, you know God laidon my heart.
My wife confirmed it and thenand then, obviously, you shared
your piece and your portion ofyour story and the rest was
history.
I didn't even know thedirection that the podcast was
going.
All I know like I just wantedjust to, to just invite
Christians on to encourageunbelievers to save, you know,
(21:44):
just so they could share theirstory, so unbelievers could be
saved.
Yeah, and then, boy, thechallenges that we faced once
the podcast started.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yeah, they could have
devil.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
See, this will allow
people to understand.
That's what I had to say whenyou begin it.
Whenever a person, whenever youdo, decide to do a great work
for the Lord, great or small, great or small, the attack, the
tax is going to come, absolutelythe tax is going to come.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
Talk to any minister
of the gospel.
Let God lay a sermon on theirheart.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
And they're studying
for it.
Yeah, every single distractionimaginable will come their way.
Either they lose a loved one ormarital problem, children
problem, everything startscoming and it's like, yeah, I
really want men of God tounderstand.
You have to stay encouraged, because if we look at Moses, I
(22:39):
love going to the Old Testament.
Don't ask me why.
To me, yes, I love the NewTestament because that's that
shares with us, but there'ssomething about the Old
Testament to look at a man likeMoses, who was supposed to be
thrown into the, into the NileRiver.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, right.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Yeah, and then yeah,
that's right.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
He ends up in
Pharaoh's house, Right Then he
goes, grows up, becomes this manseeing his people.
Mind you, there was no, becausehe grew up in Pharaoh's house.
So how is this hurt in hisheart to see how his people were
being treated, not evenrealizing those were his people?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
You understand what.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
I'm saying Right,
right he kills in Egyptian
because of how he's you knowtreating his people.
Then he flees, comes back 80,well, at the age of 80, to free
the people.
So what, what?
What I've learned through thispodcast?
No matter what the storm is,god still has to get the glory.
(23:48):
You don't stop because thestorm is raging around you.
As a matter of fact, you say, jesus, can I get out the boat
and walk to you?
And if Jesus is on the boat tosleep, I need you to go to sleep
too.
Yeah, yeah, that's fast Like youneed to envision Christ right
there in that storm, when youasleep.
Lay your head on his shoulders, cry your tears.
(24:10):
Yeah, go to sleep, because you,you can't fight Satan.
Only God can Only God.
You will lose every single timebut if you trust, if you
believe if you trust, and that'swhat I had to learn.
When my brother died and Iremember you as in this, this
(24:32):
you don't want to record I saidno, the work of the Lord doesn't
stop.
Because I was your dad.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
That was your dad.
You passed your dad.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Like, the work of the
Lord doesn't stop because I
lost my brother.
It continues and I will, andthat will be the.
I will lose this, thisapartment.
They will evict me.
Whatever the case may be,whatever Satan throws at me,
God's assignment doesn't stopBecause the storm is raging.
I'm not a perfect ChristianI've been in every single part
(25:04):
of my life, but I'm learningmore and more each and every
single day where my strengthcomes from and this blessing and
that was encouraging.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
You know what you,
you know what you did.
I know it was tough.
You know that was a very sadmoment or a sad time for you and
your family and just to lose, you know, your, your brother, I
mean your brother.
This is your sibling and youknow what that reminded me of,
although it's not at the samecapacity as Joe Everybody at Joe
(25:35):
, you know Joe lost 10 childrenand lost all his goods it's
belonging.
And Joe just worshiped me.
He worshiped God, and that'swhat.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
I learned to do,
believe it or not, like.
My family looked at me like, like.
Even when my brother was in thehospital, my sister would be in
the room crying and I'm in theliving room praying and saying.
God, I know you have all power.
I seen you open a woman's wombwhose um Nemesis was picking at
her, and I'm talking aboutHannah, love her story.
(26:05):
And she's right there crying atyour feet.
So I'm coming to you likeHannah crying.
Brother was about to transition.
That piece left me and I thinkthat's the first time.
I cried, and when I cried it was.
It was like I said you're gonnabe fine, just keep your eyes on
me.
Just keep your eyes on me and Igo a lot of nobody saying
(26:31):
question, god cuz, I sure did.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Yeah, where you go,
where you, I sure did I was like
why him?
Speaker 1 (26:38):
but what I had?
Yeah, to still understand.
The assignment of the LordContinues.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
That's it.
Yes, that's right.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Yeah, that's facts
three years on this podcast,
three years of him walking usthrough this journey, three
years of me moving from onestate to the next.
Three Right three years ofuncertainty three years and he
(27:10):
has his hands to steal, guiding.
Different things are coming todifferent topics, biblical
discussions.
The hunger, the Hunger and thethirst for his word is real,
like when I say, like I wastelling you, like I'm looking
(27:31):
for a mentor to sit down With meto help me learn how to study
this war, because I am like it'slike my, the Holy Spirit inside
of me saying, hey, I'm goodwith the snacks, but I'm ready
for the real deal.
I need you to feed me right, andit's it's glory to this podcast
, because when we're doing thebiblical discussions, I get to
(27:54):
sit down and read and see andthe Holy Spirit opening the word
and being able to Help othersbring what happened back then
and make it applicable to today.
Yeah, that, yes, I'm a part ofthe podcast, but this is God's
(28:16):
work.
We are just his hands and hisfeet.
That we just said yes to him.
That that's the only thing Ican say.
When you, when you called methat day, all I could do was say
yes, holy Spirit, I hear you, this is where you want me.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yes, yeah, and even
like the, the podcast is just
like just one tool to drawpeople to Christ.
You know, yeah, people couldshare their preachers sermons,
that they could share Biblestudies.
They can have personalone-on-one Bible studies.
We was on another call and, like I explained to our Guests
that we got exhaust all of ouroptions, we got through the
(28:53):
cannonball.
The cannonball at this world, that that prayfully, that um,
that the word marinated in ourhearts because all we Was
planning, see, we're pancing andwe're watering, so we're just
using this as a tool, becauseeven prior to the pandemic, as I
mentioned, you know, yeah, I'lltalk to people here, here and
there about the word of God, butwhat the podcast did it cause?
(29:16):
Cause us to elevate.
So not only in the work, is cuzSpiritually elevation spiritual
, and I'm not.
We didn't even talk about thepromotion we even got at our job
.
We taught my spiritualelevation and it's really, it's
really the brain we we havesince grown too.
Because, like you said, I needthose biblical discussions about
those characters man, I can'ttell you how many times I see
(29:38):
myself in one of the charactersand I but it also highlights the
, the flaw of man, yeah, and italso helps me to understand that
we are all standing in need ofa savior.
This is why we need Jesus.
We could go back to the OldTestament and see flawed
individuals who God had mercyand grace on his, his
sovereignty.
It's all over them and theywere flawed.
(29:59):
Right, it's the one that theywere used.
Yeah, so when we start readingit about Abraham Isaac and we
just read about Jacob of Joseph, rather I like man, it's so
encouraging because now, what'swhat's happening is causing us
to delve into our word and, youknow, and also be a blessing,
(30:19):
not only does be even a blessingto others.
Yeah, yeah, the, and also the, also the additional blessing
that we also had the pleasure ofmeeting some of our other
brothers and sisters in Christ, amen, amen.
I tell you that is such ablessing.
Let me tell you something whenwe all get to heaven, we're
gonna be having a party.
You know how much of a blessing.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
It says it in the
scripture Look, if we all learn
how to praise God down here, what we gonna do when we get to
heaven?
Yeah, ours down here, like wego to worship service and we sit
there with our lips all tiedand all stoic and I'm like Jesus
(30:59):
did so much, like God, god lovedoes so much.
He sent his best, like when you.
We haven't even touched thebook of Exodus, but this is
coming to my mind Just seeinghow God told the Israelites,
through Moses, to get a lambwithout blemish, fast forward to
(31:22):
Jesus coming, a lamb withoutblemish, a man without sin, and
he's sacrificed for us and themost beautiful words that escape
his lips are Forgive them, forthey know not what they are
doing.
I I sometimes Don't think peopleunderstand the beauty of Jesus.
(31:46):
I don't think they understandthe beauty of the gospel.
I don't think they understandthe love of God.
Most people try to DiscreditGod and call him this, this sake
, this masochist and this.
Say this like he know his loveis so amazing.
(32:11):
Half of us was supposed to bedead because if we was living
back in Done, let me tell you Iwould have been right there at
the gate being stoned.
Yeah, do you hear me?
Yeah, let me know.
The love of God, there's nowords to describe it.
(32:37):
I even saying that it's amazingis not enough.
It's it's undescribable,because we're all still here.
We have both in our lungs totell people about him.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
I like the last part
you just said, and that's how I
say it, I know we're spirituallyconnected and even if there's a
Christian like watching usright now, we are all called to
go.
Go and make disciples.
Yeah, the preachers they preach.
Yeah, the deacons they work, you know.
Yeah, the elders, they'reoverseers, but all Christians
(33:14):
Abby.
Just picture this on a day ofjudgment, when, crack on, look
God gonna hold everybodyaccountable.
I was encouraged Christians todo this.
I said look, if you don't knowhow to share the gospel, just
share a sermon with somebody.
You go to your localcongregation, just tell the
stranger, whoever, or yourcoworker hey, you know, I had a
(33:37):
you know if you.
Obviously they have aconversation at the break room,
whatever the case may be.
Hey, man, it was a powerfulword and I believe that this
word could be a blessing to you.
You could simply just shareyour preacher's sermon or your
preacher's Bible study, or youcould let them listen to a
gospel song or a gospel album.
So people, they reallyunderestimate the power of a
(33:59):
word, the power of song, thepower of a study and even the
power of a testimony.
So you know, abby, look, almosteverybody we invited on here
been a blessing to me and Idon't want to say which one was
better or which one was not.
All the barred guests that cameon, like it shows you that
different walks of life and howGod has used these individuals
(34:20):
to come and share theirGod-given story, how God has
called them from darkness intolight and, like we always say
that their stories resonate withsomebody, it could touch
somebody out there that's tryingto find Christ.
You know what I mean.
So that's why I like thecourage and I like the past
guests that came on, even forour future guests, if you watch
it, I like the ones that come onand they just share their story
(34:43):
how they came to Christ.
But I'll tell you what, interms of our discussions, the
best one is the Jesus series.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
The Jesus series, top
, top the Jesus series.
We had two different brotherscome on with it.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
We had two Different
perspectives.
Yeah, we had two Each time.
Yeah, each time.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
The Jesus series get
me all the time.
Yeah, yeah, each perspective,each time.
Yeah, you know why the Jesusseries.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
Get me Cause.
You and I were both in theworld.
Bob said the way Jesus sent hisdeath.
So we were in not rightrelationship with God at one
point.
We were in the world, we weredoomed.
We were doomed.
Yeah, yeah, we were doomed.
But think of it this way Christ, when he died on that cross, he
(35:34):
thought about you and I in theworld.
He was on the cross and heforeseen the future and thought
about me and he thought aboutyou and he thought about all
those that would believe in him.
So when I think about Christ, especially when we do the Lord's
Supper, I go back, so you seehow Christ went forward.
I go back to the cross and Istart to think I'm like man.
(35:58):
They spit on him.
He got hooked.
He was carrying that heavycross.
They pierced them in the side, blood and water came out.
He cried out loud Eli, eli, lamar Tabata, my God, my God,
why have you forsaken me?
Look, that was the one would beus.
All that stuff that he wentthrough, that was what was the
(36:21):
us the beauty of his scorching.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
After the second hit.
He was supposed to die.
I don't think people understandthat.
Like if you do research on thecrucifixion and the scorching
after that second hit, all thatblood that came out.
He was supposed to die but hisdeity stepped in and kept him
(36:50):
here because he was supposed tobecome a curse for us.
One of my favorite scripturesin the Bible is John 17, where
Jesus prayed for the apostlesand he prayed for us.
A lot of times people missedthat.
Like Jesus prayed for us,brother Nick, he prayed for us.
(37:12):
Yeah, he prayed for us.
He loved us that much that hewent to the Father and prayed
for us because he knows some ofus was going to be some
knuckleheads.
Some of us were going to be outthere doing us and doing what
we want to do.
He prayed for us and in prayingfor us we have to always
(37:34):
remember.
Call by God podcast is notabout Nick and Adne.
Call by God podcast is aboutthe remembrance of what God did
for Nick and Adne.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
What Christ did for
us.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yep in the world what
Christ did on that cross.
That's what the call by Godpodcast it's all about.
It is about looking at thatcross and I love Orpheus saying
this.
Orpheus say we go to the Lord'sdoor for, like this, the
saddest moment in the world, hesaid we should be celebrating.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
We're celebrating.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
I'm like ooh, cause
he was like Friday, that's where
the celebrate, that's wherevictory happened On Friday, like
we celebrate that Sunday, butFriday, when he was on that
cross, that's where victoryhappened.
Victory happened Because Satanthought he won.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Yeah, right, yeah,
that's fact.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
So he was like and
when I heard that, I was like
wow.
So now, when they're doing thelove supper, I'm always
celebrating in my heart andworshiping in my heart.
I don't want to distractanybody, but just to know what
Jesus did.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
It's a celebration,
yeah, yeah, we go to our loved
ones funeral and we cry.
But what Jesus did?
Speaker 2 (38:49):
What Jesus did.
It says Jesus man.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
We should celebrate
that.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
Yeah, I don't know
how long we've been recording,
but we we have to go ahead andshare what the giveaway is.
Yeah, so we do on the 25 out ofgift card and also we do a given

We would just sit in heretalking about how the podcast
has touched us, touch our lives, and look, it wasn't just solely
only podcast has touched onthat.
Obviously there was a otherministers we listened to, yeah,
of the Bible, but it just we hadto just get it all during the
pandemic.
We needed the podcast.
We need to listen to otherchurch of Christ ministers.
(42:21):
We needed to have our ownpersonal devotions.
We need as much God that wecould possibly get during the
pandemic.
Yeah, you know, but.
But in this case, we want youto just share how the podcast
has blessed you, since I'm thethe beginning to start of the
podcast.
So again, call by God podcastat gmailcom and I'm, I'm excited
(42:41):
.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
I years in the making
and I don't know where God is
gonna take the platform.
I'm excited as well.
I I feel a shift.
I'm excited about the shift.
I'm not afraid about the shift, because God is moving and and
if you are a person who doesn'thave a relationship with Jesus,
(43:05):
contact us.
Nick shared all of our handleswith you.
I'm not well versed in doingBible study, but Nick is.
But I sure enough know I couldget you in contact with somebody
who can.
And this is what it's all about.
It's saving souls and keepingsouls saved.
(43:25):
I live in Atlanta, so I promiseyou, in Atlanta there's about
how many churches of Christaround.
I promise you, if you're inthat church's vicinity, I will
get on the phone, contact theelder deacons, minister, whom
ever, to meet with you to do thestudy.
Nick himself is an evangelist.
He could do the study with you.
If he's not able to, he hasplenty of brothers that he can
(43:48):
call that can say hey, I'm atwork right now.
This person wants to do a study.
I need y'all to you know dothis study.
You're not walking this journeyalone.
We are grateful and thankful tobe the hands and feet of Jesus
Using this platform called thecall by God podcast.
Lord thank you.
That's all I could think, lord,thank you.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
I'm glad you said
that, because that might
probably be someone here justseeking Somebody, probably going
through their feet, and they'reprobably seeking, while I think
they come across.
Yeah, page right and yeah, andI believe that there is somebody
out there seeking you know, because, yeah, addy, these are
some troubling times.
I mean Everything recession.
(44:32):
We're sitting on here.
Nobody say it's a recession.
I don't care what they'resaying, it's a place session
recession, evil is running rapid.
You know people calling goodevil and evil good People.
We gonna continue.
(44:53):
Do you want to share any otherplatforms?
Anything you got going on, addy?
Speaker 1 (44:58):
anything you got
going on that book I shared with
you earlier.
I'm almost done with it.
This, this thought, just hit myheart, though I did.
I just spoke to those who arenon-members, but I want to speak
to us Christians.
I listened to brother Daniel'sBible study from last night, and
(45:18):
yeah powerful and Christians.
This world is in turmoil becausewe're not doing our part.
This world is.
Is is filled with evil Becausewe're not doing our part.
We may think we are, but we'renot, because when you read, was
(45:42):
it second Chronicles, chapternumber seven, chapter number
seven, verse verse 14?
Read that study that, meditateon that.
It convicted me listening tothat study.
This world is in turmoilbecause the Christians ain't
doing what the Christians needto do.
It's time for us to step up,time for us to get out of our
(46:04):
comfort zones, time for us toreally Be the hands and feet of
Jesus.
Make disciples, get peoplesaved.
Share your story.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
It's time you know
what I think, addy?
Yeah, I think a lot ofChristians Forgot a why they
gave their lives to Christ.
Yeah you know, you know that, you know you first get in a
relationship with somebody, you're all excited, mmm, like
y'all, yeah, oh yeah, man, I'min new relationship, I'm on fire
for God, I love the Lord.
I love the Lord and in thecares of this world, kind of
(46:42):
like pull them cuz they don'tknow that say, it's always Just
been pulling saints away fromGod because, remember, he's like
a roaring lion, going to andfro seeking we may devour.
Yeah, satan is alwaysinterested in that.
So when it, when saints, usChristians, like you said, addy,
it was a powerful Bible study, because I was there last night
(47:03):
to listen to it live whenbrother Thanks was breaking down
the power of prayer.
Because Christians do notunderstand the power of prayer,
yeah, they don't know we have.
We have the power to even movemountains.
Yeah not physical mountains, butwe have the power.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Addy, I'm
communicating with you right now
.
When we communicate, we'recommunicating with God when we
pray, and I think Sometimes, sometimes saints, they don't
understand that when they'retalking, they're you're actually
, you're having a conversationwith God.
Yeah, it's Like it's yeah,conversation.
Yeah and I think Sometimessaints, sometimes they even
(47:38):
forgot what they got say yeahthe why, why I didn't submit it.
It's not only because I want togo to heaven.
No, that's selfish.
What about their neighbors?
What about their coworkers?
Yeah, family members, that'stheir unsafe.
Yeah, they look at like, oh,I'm safe, so I'm good now, no,
I'm good, I'm still, I'm covered.
Speaker 1 (48:00):
I Honestly want to
put this out there because I
pray that somebody in theSpanish community will reach out
to me on Facebook.
I live in a predominantlyHispanic area.
Everybody here speaks Spanish, everybody like I wish I could
communicate, but I Look at thiscomplex and I'm like God, just
(48:25):
just bring me to the rightperson and then we can start
doing door knockings and Because, guess what, everybody else
comes here that speaks thelanguage to door knock.
And I'm here.
God doesn't have me here justbecause he wants me here.
God wants me here to start amovement in this complex.
(48:47):
It is my job, it is my whereverwe are.
It is our job, it is ourassignment to introduce people
to Jesus.
If they don't want to hear whenthey talk to you, you just
always point them to Jesus.
You always planning that seed.
That's what we're here for.
That's the assignment.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
It ain't about yeah
you know what I thought about.
I need somebody Spanish on theCBG team.
Yes, I mean, yeah, I willcreate, I would.
I would literally createanother podcast.
Yeah, somebody for somebody, aSpanish-speaking person that
that could, that can havediscussions.
Yeah, because, like you saidit's, it's not about color.
(49:27):
It's not not solely aboutlanguage.
It's really about God.
When Jesus Christ came, he diedfor all, for all the love the
world that he gave his onlybegotten son, that whoever
should believe in him should notperish that everlasting life.
Yeah, god, want all men to besaved, but all me.
Will all men follow him?
No, but he died for all.
So, yeah, so if, even if Icould get my, my Hispanic
(49:52):
brothers, my Caucasian brothersyeah, this is not only limited,
tony, black, african American, yeah, even my Caucasian Haitians
, haitians, yeah, my Haitians I,yeah, my African brothers, my
European brothers.
Yeah you know what I mean?
Yeah, so I think that's whatit's about.
And, and the thing is, this isjust one tool.
(50:12):
So remember, there's otherdynamic preachers out there,
yeah, elders and deacons, andthen we could point them in the
right direction, could?
That's all it?
Is yeah, it's just a tool, yeah, and I think, I think
Christians, we got to do abetter job at that.
We can't it gotta come to thepoint like we can't be passive.
(50:33):
The first century church prayedfor boldness.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Why would they pray
for time for both of us?
Yeah, I'm a prayer for both ofus.
They pray for courage.
Yeah, yeah, I'm definitelycontinuously praying for this
podcast because, again, it's God.
It God told us to go, he didn'ttell us to sit.
A lot of times We've gotten socomfortable behind the four
walls that we've forgotten thatit's about being out there in
(50:57):
the heat, in the cold,evangelizing.
Speaker 2 (51:04):
Believe it or not,
we're around this unsaved all
the time.
It could be at a it could be ata workplace.
Speaker 1 (51:12):
It could be at a gym.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
Yeah, it could be at
a gas station.
Yeah so what I've learned overthe years at me and God had to
deal with me with this I had tolearn how to build relationship
with people, to have adiscipleship is about yeah
because In the morning when youstarted talking to you realize
that man, look, folks got, wegot problems, but the unsaved,
(51:35):
our problems too, in therethey're they.
They be seeking for hope, butyou know of course they seek in
the wrong dirt.
You know hoping the wrong stuff, you know substance, all kind
of crazy stuff I believe.
Like if God point us, you knowwhich he does, because God will
give us that that woman at theWell, yeah, god will pin that
woman in the well.
We just gotta pray to God.
Give us the white words to say,cuz sometimes we could say the
(51:57):
wrong things.
Yeah, you know, yeah, yeah, yeahand um yeah, we just, this is
just one tool like.
I alluded to.
Speaker 1 (52:05):
There's an app out
there called methodus.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
No.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
I'm, that is it.
Method is M.
Speaker 2 (52:12):
M.
I'm gonna send you the app.
Speaker 1 (52:15):
It actually helps you
to do Bible studies and build
relationship with people who arenon Christians on there.
It was created by a brother whoevangelized in South Africa and
His son used it to evangelizeto his friends at school.
But, he has videos andquestions that you can answer
(52:39):
and towards the end it gives theplan of salvation.
So there are different toolsout there.
There are so many differentavenues and tools to disciple.
First of all, we need to checkour hearts before we go out
there.
Mm-hmm, please, yeah, please,please, please.
If your heart ain't Right, please don't try and go and
evangelize, because we wantsouls.
(53:01):
We don't want to lose them.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Yeah, I mean a person
like that just got out of a
heart for people and a heart forsoul and but I, but we're all
called to do that.
Yeah, some are better thandoing that than others.
Yeah, some people still tryingto figure it out, like I've been
a person.
Some people say look, I've beena Christmas for five to years.
I'm still trying to figure itout.
Yeah, yeah but for me I get itman.
(53:26):
Yeah, I don't want people to goto hell.
Yeah, you know, yep, so I thinkthat's it.
Sister Addie, we did thegiveaway already.
Oh, the deadline right?
So the entry start today.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
Entry starts today
because today is the three year
anniversary anniversary yeah, Igot Podcast yeah, so the
deadline?
Speaker 2 (53:47):
I know right, we
celebrate the deadline is the
21st, september 21st, but that'sthe deadline and my son is home
.
Y'all gonna hear my son in thebackground, so y'all please oh
so the deadline.
The deadline for submission isthe 21st, okay, and then we're
gonna announce the winner on the30th same thing, okay yeah.
We've announced the winner on onthe podcast or it could be
(54:10):
anonymous.
I'll reach out to the person.
Hey, you made a, you know, broadcast your name.
It'll be anonymous, like this,anonymous.
