lost its fight with the Federal government for a new
embassy here in Canberra. A lease on a site was
granted to Russia in two thousand and eight, but was
later withdrawn under a new law on national security grounds.
The High Court today finding the law was valid, though
the Commonwealth will need to compensate Russia for revoking the lease.
