Mon Laferte es una cantante y compositora chilena. Fue criada por su madre y su abuela, quienes la influenciaron a tocar la guitarra y a cantar. Para ella, cada disco es un diario de vida. Contienen diversos ritmos de América Latina y mucho folclor de México, donde ha vivido durante 15 años. Ha sido la artista chilena con más nominaciones en una sola edición de los Latin Grammys, y ha publicado 8 álbumes de estudio. Su quinto álbum "La Trenza" de 2017 fue un homenaje a sus raíces chilenas. De allí viene la canción "Pa’ Dónde se Fue".
