(00:08):
Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles.
And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you
about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape flour.
Edibles Strains. And everything in between.
All right, kids, welcome back. Welcome, Walt.
(00:29):
We are trying. Something tasty.
It's a coffee strain, so today we are going to be partaking.
Of some Moxie concentrates whichwe love, today's one is Buzz GMO
and Red Velvet. You know, what I like about
certain strains is that they don't fuck around trying to make
up a new name. They're just like, look, here's
(00:50):
the two awesome badasses. We put them together, peanut
butter and chocolate. Right.
And if you guys don't know, GMO is like usually a garlic.
Which you do get garlicky notes.Oh, but I love that strain.
The experience of GMO. Still one of my favorites.
Love it. And Red Velvet was quite the
(01:11):
pleasant experience. That that.
Was that Bichon brought? It was really strange too
because, and I'm already gettingthe sensation now.
So one of the things I really like about red velvet is that it
actually kind of combats dry mouth because velvety.
Feeling on your mouth. It it almost activates your
salivary glands in a way just slightly to coat your mouth.
(01:35):
So it's like dude that's great. I wish more sativas had that
because I know this is more indica dominant, is it not?
It's supposed to be, I feel likeGMO.
Well it depends on the cultivar.GMO I've seen in OR experienced
more Inca dominant feeling and Sediba dominant feeling
cultivars just depending on who it was.
(01:55):
But wow, we did it in flower. The beehive episode with Bijan.
Yes, we did. Now this one is a live cannabis
resin batter that Moxie produces.
I was thinking about it yesterday.
Well, obviously Buzz must grow it because I know that the other
guys don't grow that. Yeah, Moxie isn't a producer of
(02:16):
their own flower, but the. But they source from locals and
there's commonly, you know whereyou'll find a lot of these
strings. I've I've searched around online
where they sell Moxie such as a Michigan, Nevada, California.
And when you're looking at that, they have a lot of similar
strains that they're working on their shelves as well.
But the one thing I will say about Moxie is the consistency
(02:38):
of quality and flavor. Wow.
Yeah, I actually. Impressed.
Was thinking on that yesterday as I was dabbing.
I had gone through because Frankhooked us up with all sorts of
concentrates. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
For us to go through review. That they produce, but they
don't grow the initial product right.
And I noticed that my favorite ones are the strains that have
(02:59):
Moxie branded on it, that the product is better, the quality
is better. What's the other one they have?
Well, they have valley lows and then I believe out of state
might be theirs as well. See, I haven't mined the valley
Lowe's too, but I like those a lot.
They're yeah, they're not bad. I still enjoy them.
Yeah, but my favorite is anything with the Moxie name on.
(03:20):
It Oh dude for bar none. I mean, you've got all of the
greats, you've got all of your super lemon hazes.
Yeah, right. Fantastic.
They might be delicious. So I'm gonna say, well, I'll go
into that on off air because I've had some interesting
experiences with great voodoo. Oh, let's share it because we
did that episode. Yeah, great.
(03:41):
Voodoo was great. As focused as it is, it's still
very heady. But the weird part is I tried to
mix it with Cheetah to give me the extra for work right in the
morning. Didn't go well.
I started getting panicky. Yeah, and so I too.
High Sativas. Yeah, well, and, and The thing
(04:01):
is, is it's kind of weird. Like your sativas typically are
more A luminaries. They're like bright behind the
eyes. Yeah, very low body feel, not a
lot of heady. It's just more of like energy.
Depending on the stevia, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. But this one has got like weird
characteristics of like an indica type of field, but you're
(04:23):
really aware. Yeah, it was very relaxed in the
body, but like very head focusedso.
It's very strange. When you mix that with cheetah,
was it like tension in your heador was it just like panic racing
heart? Racing thought so one thing to
think about like a lot of times and and I really it was funny
because I was on like a trainingcall.
OK. And it was going to be an hour
(04:44):
and a half. It's good.
And I was 20 minutes in and I'm feeling these things.
So I started being able to thinkabout in my head, I'm like, OK,
zone that out, stare forward. But you need to focus on what
you're feeling and a lot of times where the anxiety comes
from. And this is like thinking on a
slow, slow, like deliberate level.
It's our thoughts, We get racingthoughts on high sativas if
(05:09):
you're not used to it. And one of the things that I've
found that I, I, I actually kindof recommend is having like a, a
really small grain of indica if you have a high sativa to
balance you out. Yeah, So you get the focus, but
you get the calm and you need tohave that calm depending on what
(05:31):
you're doing in the day. And this is what I'm talking
about strictly for work because, you know, I've been testing a
lot. I've been in a job now I'm there
anywhere from 8 to 9 hours to 10hours a day.
And when I'm there, I have TimesNow where I go out, I'm like,
OK, go out to my car, dab, come back in.
I dab because of I'm in an office and there's other people
(05:54):
that may be offended by the smell.
It's. OK.
So you're not trying to bring flour smells in that?
And I will say that, man, when Imixed in a little bit of rotten
bananas, which we will review, when I mixed in the rotten
bananas just a tiny bit because it was a crumble, it was so much
easier to dose because I could just grab a little bit.
(06:15):
And I'm like, Oh yeah, I'm just going to put that in there.
I. Still think it's my least.
I mean, right now you have the hot knife which maybe makes it a
lot easier to. Difference.
And we have honestly, we've beenusing bomb E rigs.
They're the best. They're fantastic.
I don't I don't I wouldn't use anything else.
I it was really cool. I.
Have my doctor Dapper switch still.
Oh yeah, but I mean, you know, it was funny 'cause I took, you
(06:37):
know, here's the fidget spinner and I took my other one and I
give it to Brandon and Brandon was able to just like.
Well, I tore it apart and swapped out the pieces and put
it into my little. Granny and it fits just right.
Yeah, well, and I talked to Emily about that and I was like,
look what I did. And she's like, Oh yeah, there's
all these interchangeable parts and stuff.
And then she thought it was actually devised by Stash that
(06:58):
she was thinking. But these also like there's
people who switch out this, the class, all these different
things on them. Well, that's.
What I love about these rigs because other rigs are just
like, here you go. Well, puff, I've noticed a lot
of like Puffco they have. Puffco Glass.
And stuff. Cones and smaller.
A lot of people. Make glass for them now.
Really. Yeah, custom glass.
Really cool design glasses. See that's cool custom glass,
(07:19):
but these guys come with it built in.
Like I'm I'm not trying to shit on Doctor Dabber.
I'm just saying price wise. You quality price.
This one is like 180 and that one's 220 and that's before our
discount code yeah. So use the code below, save
yourself on a bomb or E rig or they're like hot knife.
Hot knife glass. Like Brandon was very kind.
(07:41):
Let me borrow this top. I want to get a different top.
I just like the smaller ones. Yeah.
It's just like, dude, that the one that comes standard.
I love it. That's in your car.
It doesn't look crazy. Am I dabbing while I'm driving?
Probably not. No, but I think so.
For me this would be my travel one when I go visit like Emily's
(08:01):
mom or something. And this is so tiny because I
would hate. I used to bring my doctor dabber
switch. It's a big thing.
But it was the switch too, whichwas or This The first switch was
even bigger than the new switch.Even the the portable one that
you took with you, they used to take with you that you let me
borrow. That thing's shit.
It's got that real rough ceramicbottom.
(08:22):
Oh. Which one?
I forgot it's a small 1 and it wasn't great.
Yeah, there's. I used to take the Oxocino and
that one was fine, but there would be issues with the bold
disconnecting and stuff and that's $400.00 piece Interesting
that's giving slight feedback when it's really close to the
mic. Only when it's really close
though. Like it.
(08:42):
So not a lot though it's not like not like the Venti
feedback, but now these have been fantastic and easy to.
What's the terps in this? Oh yeah, the the top terp is
lemonade. And then after.
I've been noticing a lot of strains including Lemonine Dude.
(09:04):
Yeah, as they're top calming, top one or two strains.
It makes sense. This one's miracine is the
second. So it's a lemonine miracine.
That's where I'm. Getting the cough.
Karyophylline. Oh, there you go.
Yeah. And then coumeline pining
little. Humaling and pining dude.
Those are both really good sativa markers.
Yeah. For focus.
(09:24):
So it's in those are lower on the yeah, but it.
That I can tell from that now that it's set in what we're
about like 5 ish, 6 minutes in, maybe a little bit, maybe a
little more, little less. It's not bad, no.
This has high C, well 3% CBG hasCBC little bit delta 9 because
that's standard and most power CBCCBDA.
(09:48):
It's got quite a wide breakdown of like cannabinoids and
terpenes in this. The flavor is decent, but again,
it speaks to the experience of Moxie.
It's very consistent. It's a slow onset, but it's not
overwhelming. It's not overpowering.
It doesn't make you freak out. I've had other dabs where it
makes me. Well, the total THC in this is
(10:09):
only 64%. Which is good too, because I'm
feeling. Pretty You don't need the
craziest, highest THC. No, please.
Stop doesn't give you the best experience.
And you're going to be wasting money.
You're going to be wasting moneybecause the strains with high
THC have the fastest move. And if they're going to move off
the shelf the course, they're going to bring up the price.
Look, these cannabis companies are screwed when it comes to
(10:31):
being able to make profit. So if you're a huge fan of high
sativa strength, by all means, don't listen to Brandon, right?
Go buy that and support that local dispensary.
Get that high THC horrible experience.
I mean, it might not be. Here's the thing, it might not
be a. It's like the diamonds and sauce
experience, like you have to crush the diamond with the sauce
(10:52):
and mix it. Otherwise, your experience isn't
as good as it could have been. It is, it's, it's, it's panic
inducing. I mean, for those of us who are
less experienced, it's panic inducing.
For those of us who know, we go,oh, that's the bud.
I just got to wait. Yeah, I I try to notice, oh,
which one is it? There's a specific strain lately
(11:14):
and it might be the cheesy one. I have to figure it out and see.
But that I notice a my heart braces.
Yeah, that I'm like, oh, hey, it's been a minute since I've
noticed a strain really makes myheart race.
But with that, often times when you get stuck in that heart
racing, it puts us in the state of Oh my gosh, you start
noticing that, then you erasing thoughts and it creates, like I
(11:36):
said, anxiety because, well, we're not present.
We're in all of these thoughts chasing something else or and
that's what I always noticed when I got crazy anxious.
I was like, oh man, if I'm living in all these like
thoughts and most of those thoughts are stresses of what
could possibly happen, things ofpossible realities in the future
(11:57):
that 99% of them never come to pass you just our mind races and
it's like, so all of that creates anxiety on future
probabilities and depression is like past.
And that's what I really love about concentrates and why I've
had more. I mean, I, I have my times like
daytime, I dab night time, it's flour.
(12:22):
It balances me out. Only thing is I've noticed this
lately, I'll actually head out to smoke flour like two or three
times in just a couple hours. And the reason why is that your
concentrates are concentrated and there's a lot of THC in
that. There's a lot of the
cannabinoids and so you get a lot of the euphoria, the effect
(12:44):
that you're desiring. Flour doesn't have the highest
amount of those and you would have to smoke more.
So now I feel like I'm at the level where I could smoke a gram
joint and enjoy the entire thing.
Yeah. That was my yesterday Emily was
having a drink and but I really wanted a joint.
And so I had I'd got my joint, went out back, smoked the entire
(13:06):
joint. We came inside and I was like
probably about 2530 minutes later.
I'm like, you know? I could smoke.
Another one a little more and I didn't, I had another joint
rolled and I've been practicing. So I've been hand rolling a
joint every day just to get better.
Whether I smoke it or not or tear it apart, I just hand roll
it. And so then I had another one
rolled and I'm like, well, I want to save that for tomorrow
(13:28):
Emily and I can smoke it together.
So I still had, you know, grounds in my grinder and that.
So I bowled out the Venti and I loaded the bowl in that and I
went through that and then 1520 minutes later I loaded another
one and but it's because I'm never high.
I'm just like, oh, this is a pleasant.
I really like this level that I'm at.
(13:50):
Hey, I could keep maintaining this level.
Well, and I didn't. Have anything going on?
I didn't have anything I needed to be doing.
It was Friday night. I was like, fuck it.
I'm just chilling, enjoying thismoment.
Like, yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonnahave another bowl.
Because I wasn't, I wasn't getting high.
I wasn't chasing something. I was like, I'm just enjoying
where I'm at. Kind of like she was sipping on
(14:10):
her drink. Well, and that makes sense too
because you were just like, you know, it's not that I want to
get obliterated. And that would be really
difficult to do. You'd have to bore out the
center and drop in this real tasty like concentrate.
But I mean, that joint becomes very expensive.
And so it's like, OK, I mean, depending on where you get your
(14:31):
dab, if it's from a dyspo, it's expensive if you get it from
your plug. It might not be you might be 20
bucks a gram instead of yeah. Which is cool.
I mean, that's the thing like everything from would I consider
more Gray market, not necessarily black market.
Legacy market. Legacy market, That's always
good to say, right? Legacy market, this one I I
notice there's a difference, butthe The funny thing is that I've
(14:54):
noticed more legacy market has like even higher quality doubt
yeah, then you'll get in a dyspolike there's been some that we
have partaken from I'm like not bad.
Depending on where it is. And that all depends on your
legacy connection and 100% of that source, because there are
(15:16):
some incredible legacy growers, which everyone knows because
they've been doing it forever. And then there's some who are
skimming some really toilety water that you're like, hey, is
this even flower? Like I've gone through Reddit
and seen some photos of people just posting it up.
Like, look what my blood gave me.
And I'm like, that looks like oregano on steroids and.
(15:38):
What? That looks like a shake bro.
It's like really shitty shake. It's it's swag weed I've had
which is weird. In the past a legacy connect was
like, hey, I've got this this bag of shake.
It's an entire oz for like 40 bucks.
And I'm like, OK, I can make edibles, I can make tinctures.
I could make some pre rolls withthat 40 bucks like.
(15:59):
And when I see the quality of the bag it came from, I see the
quality of the stuff. The shake at the bottom can just
be a lot more trichomes like a lot of good stuff.
If it comes from a quality source, quality product quality
grow in the 1st place, then I can see that as being a valuable
product because I'm like, hey, Icould use this for a million
(16:20):
things. Even making a bomb.
You know, 40 bucks an ounce is nothing to make a bomb with.
That's cool. Like I could make that all day
long versus, you know, going trying to buy an ounce for 200
plus dollars for it going Oh crap, that's that's an expensive
Balmer. That's.
A really expensive. Tincture, edible versus Yeah, I
paid 40 bucks for the entire oz.You know, especially if it's
(16:42):
shake. So I don't look at shake as
necessarily a bad thing if it's,you know, depending on where it
came from. It's kind of like when you get
your bag of say you get a bag from your plug years ago and you
know, you get big nugs, you get some small nugs, you get a
little bit of grounds at the bottom.
But as you go through that baggy, at least start noticing
(17:04):
there's a little bit more shake because it gets a little drier,
little pieces flake off and thenyou get at the bottom.
Well, if it's really good stuff, all you have is a lot of
trichomes, a lot of, you know, really good stuff stills, you're
like, all right, well, for me, Ialways would always save my big
nuggies for last. And so I have the biggest nugget
at the very end, like, oh, look at that.
You know, it's Stoner math. Yeah, well, it's Stoner math.
(17:26):
What you know what you brought up when we were talking about
shake? What I wanted you to do real
quick is explain to our listeners of those who are
probably don't. I mean, they're like shake.
Yeah, look, I just shake myself.I shake my weed and at the
bottom that tell us what shake is.
But that is all it was was shake.
Is that bottom of the stuff at the bottom of your bag?
It's all the little leaves. It's all the little tiny grounds
(17:49):
that you didn't, you know, fell off your neck.
The seeds that fell out. Hopefully not you think, and
it's fine if you get. Seed to Oh, I'm down with seeds.
I would be OK with a seed or twohere or there.
Yeah, but when you start seeing a lot of them.
You get hermed from one that's turned from being female to like
half male half female. Or you get someone trying to
sell a male flower that you're like, this is all seeds and
(18:11):
stuff. And on the legacy market in
certain areas, you might find that because it's, hey, I grew
this, it turned and I got to make some money anyway, so.
I'm just gonna sell it for like, nothing.
Yeah, and it feels like hemp or gives you a headache, but people
are like, oh, I don't have any other plug.
Where else am I going to get weed?
(18:32):
It's not even weed. It's, you know.
I would just quit by that point.I mean, you know, there's no
shame in doing forced tea break, especially when it comes to
that, you know, and I think about that because tea breaks
like, you know, somebody might be thinking, you know, while
listening to us going, dude, youguys need to do a tea break.
Well, yeah. You know what though?
When your endocannabinoid systemhas taken a lot of attention and
(18:56):
now you're going to take away, of course it's going to be, but
dude, you're going to be right back to where you were within.
A week tea breaks all the time. Me too.
Every single night between like 11:30 and then 7:00 AM.
I'll, I'll take. Daily tea breaks.
I'll take a day off every once in a while.
I think about that like, you know, you know, if you talked
about the religious sects, mainly Christianity and maybe
(19:17):
there's Judaism, religious sect.Oh, oh, OK.
I was like which position is that?
But that's all the dog is the demon.
But don't even mention reverse cowgirl.
Right. It's just like this is like an
escalator to hell. But now you got me thinking
about that. OK, but I think about tithe, OK,
(19:41):
And tithe is always well, no, itisn't.
If if you look into the religious context and, and
actually where it came from, it's not necessarily 10% of your
earnings, right? And it wasn't for everyone.
And so that's the thing I alwaysfind funny, but sacrifice is
always good. And I think about my life and
I'm like, you know, what would Isacrifice for a little bit?
(20:02):
And you know, Lent, which I would never do Lent for this,
that's 40 days and 40 ninths of going without something.
But. I thought Lent was only one day
or like a week. It's 40 days.
Oh yeah, what? That's Lent.
I've never been a Jew. Yeah, no, no, it's a, it's a
Catholic thing, really. Yeah, Lent.
But they will, you know, they will give up something.
(20:25):
And the only reason why I know this one, there was a movie back
in the day, like early 2000s andin the day.
Hey, dude, back in the day, dude, almost 20 years ago
probably. But there was a movie with Josh
Hartnett, it's called 40 Days and 40 Nights.
And it's about this guy who goes, he's just making bad
decisions because of pussy, right?
(20:45):
He's always, he's hooking up. He's got this crazy
ex-girlfriend who's like smokinghot and she's weird and she
cheats on him and stuff like that.
And it's just like, he's like, it's my Dick that's getting in
the way, man. This is making all my bad
decisions in life. I'm going to give.
And then he's talking to this priest.
And the priest is, oh, yeah, he goes, I'm going to give up my
(21:08):
favorite chocolate macaroons. Oh, I love those cookies.
Sometimes it's so hard to give up what we love to be able to
show sacrifice. And he goes, that's it.
I'm going to give up sex for 40 days and 40 nights.
And his buddies are all teasing him about it.
And then and then they start this bet at his office of when
(21:29):
he will do it or he can't. He can't Jag off, he can't have
sex, He can't watch porn, he can't do anything.
That's crazy. Right.
So, so he's doing that and it's the funniest show because like
the women in there, they're like, what's the betting pool up
to now? And they're like $5000.
She's like, boom, I put my moneyin it.
I'm gonna go get me this $5000, gonna make him have sex with me.
(21:51):
And he's just like, why has everybody tried to have sex with
me? That's hilarious.
That'd be a hard pass like test to pass.
Dude like in the if you're. Struggling passing tests.
We have this super sweet connection.
Oh. This synthetics 5 they're big
into like, yeah. Tests.
From what we hear, you can get 100% on your test.
Yeah, you can score 100 with synthetics 5.
(22:12):
Now I don't know how P makes youpass tests, but.
You know, maybe it's like my, oh, Space Jam, Michael's magic
juice. You just got a well it.
Was funny. We were actually talking to one
of the owners of the company on the phone call not too long ago
and Brandon asked the question, can you drink it?
And I was like, well, now we know where Brandon's coming
(22:34):
from. Well I was like, well I'm pretty
sure since it says it's for like.
And it was so funny because he'slike, you could it's could it be
really salty? But but that's what's really
cool, you know, with all the ways to be able to pass tests
with this type of product, a lotof people use things like Golden
Seal or they'll. Or pickle juice.
(22:55):
Or, you know, a million wives tales of Oh yeah.
Yeah, none of them work. And it's like, man, sometimes
that test is worth like 80,000 ayear, sometimes that test is
worth like 120 or 200,000 a year, which.
Is ridiculous because this is a plant that makes us happy and
yet certain work, certain places, they're like, hey dude,
(23:16):
in order to keep working here you have to take tests.
Yeah. So.
Man, I suck at testing. So sharpen your pencil.
Yep, get your study buddy. Synthetics 5.
Yeah. And if you or someone you know
that has jobs where they have totake tests in order to keep
working there. Use the code below.
Help a brother out. Yeah, save some money, support
the show. Yeah.
(23:37):
Yeah, dude, that was that. That's such a cool thing.
It's such a cool. We have so many cool products
that we get to be able to have here.
What you feeling right now? So right now I'm feeling in the
head. It's not a typical indica.
Weirdly enough this is the strangest thing itching my sorry
about that. The roof of my mouth dry, My
tongue not dry. My tongue feels dry.
(24:00):
My my tongue doesn't feel as dry.
I don't have the the click yeah from dry mouth.
So it's slightly dry, but it's not.
And that red velvet I think is the part because my tongue still
feels like. I think that's the thing it.
Feels like it did when we smokedred Velvet.
Yeah, that was way more prominent though.
Wow, that was. Cool, but it was strictly red
(24:20):
velvet. This is the buzz GMO mixed with
it. It's pretty relaxing, like a
pretty pleasant nice like. This is a Saturday strain.
This is a strain where you're just like, you know, I got some
honey do list and some I don't Fucking yeah, I don't want to
fucking do anything list. Yeah.
I want to play some games or I want to watch a movie on my
(24:41):
phone or something. Dude, I could sit out on a
balcony and smoke this and just disappear into nothing.
Listen to some good music, mayberead a book.
That's the thing I could do on this one.
There are a lot of cannabis strains where I can't read a
book. I just can't.
I'd just be good for that. This would be great, yeah,
Because it's just chill. It's a good vibe and it allows
(25:05):
you to kind of settle into whatever you're going to get
into. Yeah, I feel that this would be
pleasant for a book. Yeah, yeah.
So for the bookworms out there, check out Was the Strain Again?
Buzz, GMO and Red Velvet. Mixed together.
