On today’s episode of Capturing COVID Jason Newland MD, MEd sits down with a friend that he met because of the pandemic, Katie Smith MEd, LAT, ATC. Katie joined the pod to share her stories and experience as an Athletic Trainer and the leader of the Athletic Pandemic Task Force. Through this taskforce, Jason and Katie worked together to get kids back to playing sports in the safest way possible during the summer of 2020. Listen in to hear some exciting stories from both sides. From their brief stints with the media, to their involvement in local politics, there is a lot to be learned from their experiences during this time of great unknown.
