Association's video series onpre-planning.
Today's episode focuses on thefirst step of the burial
planning process, which isselecting a cemetery.
The Catholic CemeteriesAssociation manages 20

cemeteries throughout NortheastOhio.
You may be familiar with one ortwo, such as All Souls Cemetery
or Holy Cross Cemetery, butit's important to remember that
each of these locations is partof the CCA.
Brian Strawn, our pre-planningcoordinator, will provide more
information about our cemeteriespre-planning coordinator will

provide more information aboutour cemeteries.

The Catholic Cemetery Association is under the
jurisdiction of the Diocese ofCleveland and the Bishop of
Cleveland at large.
However, we are our ownseparate entity and we have our
own board.
What I mean is we are 100%self-sustaining and we are a
not-for-profit organization.
Above all else, it's importantto understand that the Catholic
Cemetery Association is aministry of the Catholic Church.

Our goal is to serve theCatholic community in Northeast
Ohio surrounding the death andburial of a loved one.
Currently, we have 20 cemeteriesthat we maintain and of those
20 cemeteries, we have eightprimary cemeteries or offices
that we refer to.

They include Calvary ofCleveland, calvary of Lorain,
all Saints in Northfield, allSouls in Chardon, holy Cross in
Cleveland, brook Park area, holyCross in Akron, st Joe's in
Avon, and then there'sResurrection Cemetery in Valley

City, slash Brunswick area.
So when choosing to be laid torest in one of our Catholic
cemeteries, it's important tounderstand that a burial in a
Catholic, our Catholiccemeteries, it's important to
understand that a burial in aCatholic cemetery is a final act
of faith, a witness to one'sbelief in the resurrection and
an everlasting life, and it'simportant to secure your place

in sacred and consecratedgrounds.
The question that needs to beasked, and everyone should
really ask themselves, is whywould we not continue to
exercise our Catholic faith,even in death?
