Uncover the complexities of Debbie Adams's legal quandary in the last and final chapter of the Echoes of Evil series, as we extend an apology for the unexpected extension to a fourth part. We dive into the aftermath of Adams's conviction for three first-degree murders, navigating the thorny path of her legal journey post-conviction. Grasp the gravity of life without parole, the intricacies of motions and appeals, and the role of the Supreme Court in a case that resonates with a chilling finality. This gripping narrative is more than a recount; it's an exploration of a judicial system's convolutions and a woman's relentless quest for justice within its confines.

Feel the tension in the courtroom as we revisit the trial transcripts where Adams, stripped of legal representation, goes head-to-head with the prosecution. Her story, portrayed as both a tragedy and a cautionary tale, echoes through the legal system's halls as we trace the steps from her self-representation to the repeated rejection of her appeals. And as we prepare to pause the Echoes of Evil, we invite you to be part of our podcast's evolution. By considering a voicemail system for your comments and launching a Patreon, we're crafting an immersive experience for our dedicated listeners, with the promise of exclusive content and a continued dedication to meticulous research.

As we bid farewell, albeit temporarily, we express our deepest gratitude to you, our listeners, for supporting our journey through the Echoes of Evil series. Your engagement fuels our passion for storytelling and justice, and we're eager to bring you more compelling content after a short break. Remember, in roughly 10 days, we'll be back with an episode that promises an interview with someone intimately connected to the case. Until then, spread the word and stay safe, and we'll be waiting to reconnect with you as we continue to unravel the truths hidden in the shadows of the law.

Kellye (00:00):
Hello and welcome to episode 19,.
Technically, part 4 of theEchoes of Evil series.
I'm Kellye.

Kyler (00:09):
And I'm Kyler.

Kellye (00:11):
And we are going to try to make this as cut and dry as
possible because, right Well, Imeant to make.

Kyler (00:17):
Don't believe her.
I don't believe her.

Kellye (00:20):
I meant to make it only three parts, but then we got to
the end of part 3 and it wasalready an hour and 20 minutes
long, so we had to go ahead andwrap that one up.
And then we had all of thisreally ridiculously cold weather
that came through.

Kyler (00:32):
So we've just been trying to weather that and so Most
people would think, like youknow, stay in hunker down, do
some podcasts.

Kellye (00:40):
No, we don't like staying.

Kyler (00:40):
No, it's not how that works.
Try and be warm.

Kellye (00:43):
Cut firewood struggle, keep the kids from deliberately
terrorizing the entire house, including the pets.
Yeah, we can go outside.
We're going to break it down, exactly exactly.
So that's what we've beentrying to do and, again I
apologize, I promise after thiswe're going to get back on a
regular every other weekschedule and get the episodes

(01:05):
out on the day that they'resupposed to be coming out.
But you guys have been really, really appreciative regardless,
and I am glad that the audiencebase that we have is not cruel
to us for not getting as upsetwith us as I get.
I probably get more upset withmyself than you guys get with me
, because I don't like sayingI'm going to do something and

(01:26):
have something ready and done bysuch a such a day and then not
getting it done by then.
So all that to say, Iappreciate you guys.
You're awesome.
Quick recap last episode wetalked mainly about Debbie and
her side of things and the trialthat ended with Debbie being
found guilty of all three countsof first degree murder.
There were no holdouts.

(01:47):
There was no 11 to 1 like inLee Johns.
It was straight, unanimousverdicts.
For all three she was guilty AF.
So the part that I left y'allwith, though, was the fact that
her entire, from the date fromthe day that the events happened
to the time that she got foundguilty, was like two and a half

(02:10):
three years, I think, total, orright now it was exactly two
years in a day.
That's what it was Two years ina day from the time that she
the murders occurred to the timethat she was found guilty.
So two years in a day all ofher purse.

Kyler (02:24):
I'm not sure on this because we went through a lot of
different dates.

Kellye (02:27):
No, no, no, no.
It was the 22nd of August 2014when she was found guilty and it
was the 20th of August 2012when the murders happened.
So it was exactly two years andtwo days.
So not a day, but two days Twoyears, two days for her entire
ordeal.
But then post-conviction and Isaid this last episode

(02:48):
post-conviction lasted from2014,.
Started in September of 2014,and it went all the way to the
2021, which is why I went aheadand cut that episode off,
because to talk about all of theshit that she did
post-conviction, it's a lot.
It's going to take a minute, soI didn't want to throw it in and
try to shove it into like fiveor six minutes, where it really

(03:09):
is going to be a little bit moreintensive than that.
So we'll go ahead and startwith the fact that before she
was even sentenced which was thelife without parole which is
mandatory for first-degreemurder they did not seek the
death penalty for a couple ofreasons, and I think I've talked
about this on a differentpodcast before that the district

(03:30):
attorney will often not seekthe death penalty because all
death penalty casesautomatically go to the Supreme
Court for review Automatically, okay, ever get bypassed, so
they're automatically seen.
But if you do it for the lifewithout parole, there's, you
know, the chance that they won'tget seen because they only see.
They remember what did I saythe last time 10%, something
like that, of all the cases thatget put before them.

(03:50):
So they automatically appealed.

Kyler (03:55):
I do remember you saying that I can't remember the actual
statistic.

Kellye (03:59):
Yeah, I think it's something like 10%.
I don't remember, honestly.
But before they she was eversentenced, they did the motion
for a new trial, you know, motion to throw out judgment and
all that which was obviouslydenied, and then following that
up on September 26 2014 I'msorry, that was no.
September 26 2014 was the daythey did her sentencing, which

(04:23):
was the three consecutive andconsecutive not concurrent
consecutive licenses, just likeLee, john and and they did the
motion for the new trial, whichwas denied.
Now, about four days later, they submitted another motion
and that was the motion toreconsider sentence because they
said that the consecutive lifewithout parole was

(04:45):
Unconstitutional, and that wasdenied about a month later, in
October.
So Then came the big appealthat they filed with the Third
Circuit Court of Appeals, sothat was filed on November 10th
2014, that appeal, okay.

(05:05):
So Now I've got my notes here Iwrote these a while ago so I'm
not sure what I have the aCouple of these.
They were basically SupremeCourt rits which were like
saying, specific parts ofspecific things were appealed
and Then, you know, later comeback and were either granted or

(05:25):
denied.
I know that Debbie didn't get anew trial, but I think what the
appeal that she filed was theappeal to reconsider the
sentencing and that one, Ibelieve, was granted in December
, which means they have toReconsider the Reconsideration
of sentence.
By that I mean thereconsideration of sentence, the

(05:48):
motion for reconsideration ofsentence that they did and there
was denied.
They have to the Supreme Courtwrit that they did for that one
was granted, which means it wentback to the court to okay.
So they have to reconsider thereconsideration, right.
So instead of just saying no,you guys, that that's affirmed,
it's good it stands, they said, okay, we all need to go back and
try this again and look at thegood stuff, okay.
So basically, they just saidyou guys need to rule on this

(06:10):
again.

Kyler (06:11):
Yeah, it was a second third party that said right, we
don't.

Kellye (06:14):
We're not entirely sure, we don't know if this flies.
Just just look at it againexactly.
So they sent it back and thenthat was again.
It was denied by the court inCahola, so that one stood now
more rits and stuff wereeventually Put in and then they

(06:35):
had the big appeal that was alsoaffirmed, which she home.
I got her appeal.
So her appeal was basicallyAffirmed means denied.
Affirmed means they areupholding the judgment that was
made by the jury right when thetrial happened.
They affirmed the sentence.
They affirmed the ruling arethere.

(06:56):
Yeah, it sounds like okay.
Well, if they affirmed it, thatmeans that it was right that
they Never they offer.

Kyler (07:07):
Decision was correct, right.

Kellye (07:08):
They made the right decision the first time.
We're who have no reason tooverturn that.
So it basically what happensbetween 2014 and 2018 she tries
to get her appeal gets deniedwere affirmed.
Same thing means the same thingshe appealed on in ineffective
assistance of counsel, that theevidence wasn't good enough,

(07:32):
that they, the jailhouse snitch, wasn't reliable.
They shouldn't base theirfindings on the you know
whatever.
And basically this is the thirdcourt circuit court does what
they do and they said you know, the jury gets to decide what
they hold as Good evidence orgood testimony.
They get to decide who isreliable and who isn't reliable

(07:54):
as a witness and we, asAppellate court, we don't get to
say that they were wrong, because that's what the jury is
for.
So all of those things areaffirmed and it goes back and
now she's fighting in 2000,between 2017 and 2020.
She's arguing about her postconviction relief, which it

(08:16):
basically comes down to you.
She didn't want to be sentencedto three consecutive life
sentences.
She believed that because shewas not the acting party who
pulled the trigger or whoslashed the knife, which
debatable.

Kyler (08:30):
That isn't a question.

Kellye (08:31):
Yeah, debatable.
So she was trying to say that, because I wasn't the acting
party, that I shouldn't besentenced to life without parole
, like I should be given achance to get out and have a
life again, which no onebelieves.
That, honey, sorry, nobody.
Everybody that I've spoken tobelieves you are exactly where
you belong to be.

(08:52):
So that's what she's doingbetween 2017-2018.
And the crappy part about thisis her attorney in the original
case that was helping with allof this stuff and the
post-conviction relief.
Because after it goes to appeal, the post-conviction relief
actually falls back on theattorney that helped with the
trial.
So it goes to an appellatelawyer that is funded by the

(09:15):
state and then it falls back.
Especially if you're indigent,it falls back into the indigent
defender's arms.
So after the appeal fails, it'sdifferent Indignant, yes.
So after the appeal fails, itcomes back to the indigent
defender, Robert Clark.
Unfortunately, about a yearinto the post-conviction relief

(09:40):
fiasco, he passes away suddenlyand then she's left in kind of a
limbo Because now we're havingto find somebody that is able to
cash themselves up on the case, cash themselves up on
everything that's happened withthe appellate, cash themselves
up on all of the motions thathave already been filed by
Robert and then try to goforward.

(10:00):
She actually makes anappearance in one of her
post-conviction reliefcontradictory hearings September
2018.
And there was no attorneypresent.
I feel like a lot of herhearings were contradictory, but
I think she needs to getthrough yeah, a contradictory
hearing is basically to say, okay, so the post-conviction
relief stuff they're trying toget that to go through.

(10:20):
A contradictory hearing isbasically to say what is or
isn't applicable.
So this is contradictory towhat we've already decided, or
this isn't, or we have new stuffto put in that might contradict
what we've already had.
It's another one of those termslike a status review.
It's basically just a way tocome in and have a talk about

(10:40):
what's going on, but they haveto call it specific things
depending on what they're goingin there for.

Kyler (10:45):
So in that one it seems more like they're spending on
the timing, the timing in thetrial?

Kellye (10:50):
Right, yeah, depending on the spot where they're at,
because it could be pre-child,it could be status, it could be
a post-trial.
The contradictory hearingsusually are something specific
to do with the court procedure, more so.
So in this one she didn't havean attorney with her and Brad
Burget, of course he's there,he's president, he loves this

(11:12):
stuff.
It's almost like he lives forit, which you can tell by the
way that he interacts with thesepeople, that he enjoys himself,
he likes what he does.
And actually we'll do a thingon him in a future date because
I heard a fun story about thatspecifically.
Apparently, he up until acertain point and I'm going to

(11:32):
get into that story later, buthe came from when he came over
to be our district attorney forour parishes he was undefeated.
Oh, for a long, long time.
I know this story he had abouta thousand, as it were, and then
he met us and then he didn't,and then he didn't.
So we're going to Well, I'lltell that story at some point in

(11:54):
the future because it's fun.
I enjoy those kind of storiesbecause I just think they're
interesting, because it's stufflike that that I had no idea and
it's just.
I find that fun.
So not because he lost, butbecause I think it's interesting
.

Kyler (12:07):
You'll understand when you hear the story.

Kellye (12:09):
Exactly Okay.
So anyway, in that hearing thatshe was having, where she did
not have an attorney presentbecause hers had passed away,
they hadn't reassigned anybodyyet.
And this is the hearing where, when I was reading through all
of these trial transcriptsbecause every single one of them
were in there, because, again,of the massive amount of filing
that she did post-conviction,they had transcripts from damn

(12:29):
near every single hearing sheever had.
And so I'm reading throughthere and all I see is in the
transcript it says Brad, Mr.
Burget, and his line says I'mspeaking murder.
And I said wait, wait, wait, wait, because at this point you
know I'm scanning, I'm quickscanning to see what kind of
information I'm trying to gatherfrom this specific one, because
at this point I've gone throughhundreds, not this Atlantic one

(12:51):
, but I have to go back I saidreverse, reverse.
What did that say?
So I've actually got thetranscript.
I wrote it out because I triedto.
I would have printed it out andscanned it, but anyway it
didn't matter.
So I typed it out and I havethat and I'll attach that either
to a TikTok or somewhere to beable to show you guys.

(13:12):
I already have it available onthe Patreon because I posted
that a couple days ago just byscheduling it.
But they go back and forthbecause Debbie is trying to
interrupt him and she thinks atthis point she's got her
jailhouse lawyer degree.
So she is trying to say thatshe was convicted on whatever
such evidence and she'sinterrupting Bratticey speaking

(13:34):
and he's not about to have that.
And he calls her a murderer atleast three times and finally
the judge is like all right, andshe says I'm not a murderer.
He says yes, you were, you area convicted murderer.
So please, you'd be bestadvised not to interrupt me.
Murderer.
And it's just the back andforth, right then just kind of

(13:56):
whoo, whoo, whoo gives you thatchill to run up and down your
spine.

Kyler (13:59):
But anyway, all of this is safe, all of this to say,
hold on, you've got to find thetranscript and actually read
this.
Second, because in my opinion, when you paraphrase, you just
make Brad sound like a dick.

Kellye (14:12):
Well, he was being a little dick, kind of kind of,
but that's his job.

Kyler (14:15):
It was funnier in the transcript by far.
In my opinion, it soundedalmost more like a two player
instead of just like a Right.

Kellye (14:24):
Okay, so it says Mr.
Burget, amp;mp;rlt;, lt;, yourhonor the jury.
I'm certain Miss Adams is notgoing to agree that she killed
anybody, but they found herguilty, as, I say, did the court
.
I got you, mr Burget, in a veryshort period of time, defended,
all because of a compound.
Mr Burget, I'm speakingmurderer, murderer.
I'm speaking the court allrides.
Mr Burget, I'm speakingdefendant.

(14:46):
I am not a murderer, mr Birgit,I advise you, do not interrupt
me.
Defendant, I am not a murderer,mr Birgit, you are a convicted
murderer, yeah so, and that'swhy I thought it was just better
to hear it.
And when I read it I laughed outloud, at the same time that I

(15:08):
was like, oh, that's cold.
Oh that's cold.
But I mean like true, all of it, true, honestly, but still the
fact that you're just like I'mspeaking murderer, because I can
see him like holding up hishand, making a meme out of it,
like it's a whole thing.
So all of this to say thateventually they got her the
correct representation.

(15:30):
She had the post-convictionrelief appeal filed in April of
2019.
That was eventually denied.
They had a Supreme Court writ ofreview that was filed in May of
19, was denied in June.
She had another writ of reviewfiled in September of 19, which
was denied again in 6 of 20.

(15:52):
Now the ones the writ ofreviews that she's following
with the Supreme Court is she'sasking them to look over
specific parts of specificthings.
So the one that came back realquick the next month.
She was asking specifically fora portion to be overlooked, to
be re-looked at, because shefeels like something was done
incorrectly or improperly.
A lot of her arguments had todo with the fact that she was

(16:13):
saying that her attorneyoriginal attorney, robert Clark
was like in cahoots with the DAbecause they were good friends
and they were sidebarconversations that weren't on
the record and that shouldn'thave happened.

Kyler (16:23):
As a, for instance.
It's pretty much the adultversion of when your kid gets in
trouble and then tries to haveyou pick out any and everything.
That maybe could have beenslightly different, but no, it's
not my fault, because the grassis green and it was wet.

Kellye (16:39):
And then, exactly, how does that have to do with it?
Doesn't?
It doesn't?
And that's basically what theycame back and told her every
single time.
None of this shit actuallymatters.
And she, her last pleading thatshe filed with the Supreme
Court was filed in December of2020.
Again, denied, and nothing evercame of it, as far as I could
see.
As far as I could tell, and ifanybody has a completely and

(17:04):
utterly rang out every drop ofpossible appeal and
post-conviction relief attemptsthat they had, she has done so.
Now, that's not to say that shewon't try to finagle her way
into some loophole in the future, but if that happens, hey, we
got you, we'll be here, we'llget you, get you up to date on
it.
But as far as we are concerned, and as far as this four-part

(17:27):
monster is concerned, the Echoesof Evil we are finally, the
Echoes are quieting.
We are completing this by sayingthat Debbie Adams is located in
her forever home in St Gabriel,at the Louisiana Correctional
Institute for Women, and, as faras we know, that's where she'll

(17:49):
be.
And so a little Vee Jon, ofcourse he's still at the.
What is it?
The David?
Yeah, the correctional, therollover, yeah, and as far as we
know, this is still what wetold you he was last time.
Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I don't believe they have
any contact.
I don't believe they're allowedto have any contact.

(18:10):
I didn't reach out to anybodyand, as far as I know, both
families.

Kyler (18:15):
And I think that after she basically threw him under
all of the buses and did herbest to make sure he was the
only one that was guilty, Idon't even think he's gone
through anybody else to try andcontact her.

Kellye (18:26):
No, I don't think so, but I mean like we wouldn't
really know.

Kyler (18:29):
I think you may have realized the error of his ways,
as it were.

Kellye (18:33):
Yeah, but, like I said, even though he came and
testified at her trial, he stilldidn't want to.
He was still head over heelsfor that woman and that was two
years later and he hadn't heardshit, nor hide nor hair, and he
understood that she was stilltrying to throw him completely
under the bus.
So I mean, yeah, there's that.
And then I wanted to say aquick thank you if any of the
family and I'm gonna try to notbutcher this and go by according

(18:56):
to what?
Because we had the family ofLee John, a couple of his family
members that actually reachedout on TikTok and commented that
that was their uncle, and so Iwanted her to say I appreciate
you guys's reaching out andsaying hey, and I'm sorry that
this story isn't the best lightfor that, but I do appreciate
the input.
And I also appreciate theresponse, because I did ask

(19:18):
about the pronunciation because, like I said, I have asked at
least 20 different people and Ihave got 20 different answers.
But the answer that I gotspecifically from the family I
still am having a bit of adebate about, because Kyler
thinks it was Ponthu.
No, no, no, okay, p-o-n-t-h-uis what she wrote in the

(19:42):
response to how do you pronounceyour last name?
And I thought Pantu, yeah and I, think Pantha.
Pantha, pantha, pantha, pantha,pantha, something.

Kyler (19:53):
Anyway, we appreciate the fact that we I don't think we
got- a response If she sent youjust a U in a pronunciation
format without any of the fancy.

Kellye (20:05):
Yeah, but she honestly said though, that's the best way
I can do without being able tosay it.

Kyler (20:10):
We need to figure out a way to get voice comments.

Kellye (20:13):
Right, Well, we can do that sort of, because I mean you
can send emails which you couldattach a voicemail or something
to.
That's a lot of work for people.

Kyler (20:23):
It is.

Kellye (20:23):
It is.
I agree with that.
But I just wanted to say Iappreciate you guys at least
responding back to us.

Kyler (20:27):
We need a quick and easy way to get a voice response,
right?

Kellye (20:29):
yeah, I agree with that.
I just want to send up a phonenumber, honestly, that just
takes voicemails, that doesn'tactually call.
You can just send a voicemail, anyway.
So I just wanted to say Iappreciate that and I appreciate
everybody else listening andfollowing along in this saga.
That turned out to be a lotmore than we, well, I intended
it to be.
I knew it was going to be amonster.

Kyler (20:48):
I didn't realize it was going to be a four-part monster
and I appreciate Now, if youjust let her just go on
something, she'll go.
But honestly.

Kellye (20:55):
you know, this was the baby that was the this heart
fire of all of the.
That is this podcast.

Kyler (21:04):
This is the catalyst for you having a podcast.

Kellye (21:06):
Without me coming across this case to begin with, I
probably never would have evenstarted a podcast.
So I wanted to do justice anddue diligence to this case,
because it did inspireeverything that has become the
Sin Law podcast.
So I wanted to make sure thatwe did it right and that it was
done well and that it was to thebest of my ability, researched

(21:29):
and executed to the best of myability, and I feel like I've
done that.
I feel like I've put in moreeffort and energy into this
thing than anyone ever shouldhave.
But, honestly, I've come acrosssome really interesting points
and tidbits that I didn't thefirst even time around that I
researched and went through this.
So the stuff about thebankruptcy filing and the loan

(21:53):
stuff that I didn't come acrossuntil the second time around.
So I mean, there's alwayssomething more to find.
There's always something moreinteresting that you can come
across, and I feel like that'sone of the coolest things about
talking about these stories andbringing these cases to light,
which I'm hoping our nextpodcast that I'm going to be
doing with Uncle Sawyer that'swhat I'm hoping will happen with
that case is that once we getinto the nitty gritty of that,

(22:15):
if we can find the nitty grittybecause it's an old one, but I'm
hoping that that'll help withthat one as well.
So, oh man, this has been atrip, it's been a journey, and
just real quick on the end ofthis because we've only got a
couple minutes.
That's right, you can't see me.
I'm doing the air quotes.
Yeah, he always does the airquotes Real quick.
This is the end.

(22:35):
Like I said, we're no more ofthis unless something crazy
happens or somebody dies.
You know there's not a wholelot that we can put on the end
of this.
So I'm going to go through oursocials.
We've got our TikTok, ourYouTube, we've got our.
Now we have a Patreon and thatstarts at a $5 membership and

(22:58):
that gets you a little carepackage with some cool stuff
from with the sin law stuff andif you want to be a supporter
for that.
And we've got a website that Ikeep up to date and that'll also
have some pictures andcommentary and things like that
in the blog section of thewebsite.
So currently it has a pictureof her computer and an unknown

(23:18):
man.
No, that's not true.
That's not true.
I have three blogs on there, sodon't start with me.
Yeah, because nobody helps me.
So I can do it all on my own,and it takes time.

Kyler (23:27):
If you want to like to verbalize things and make all
the words.

Kellye (23:31):
So podcasts, the website sinlawpodcastcom, and you
actually can get to the Patreon, the Twitter, the ex sorry the
YouTube and Twix.
That's actually pretty funny Ifyou do that, but yeah, so it
has links for all of that.
You can get to all the othersocials from the website and you

(23:51):
can actually go down into theshow notes and there's a click,
that link, down there for thatas well.
Leave us a comment, leave us arating, a review like it,
subscribe to it, do all of thecool things and just come back
or, you know, instead of doingany of that, just tell somebody
that you know that is interestedin true crime about our podcast
.
Because, like I said and I'vesaid this a couple times since,

(24:13):
I realized that the majority ofour base of listeners comes from
people telling other people.
So y'all just keep doing that.
I don't give a damn if you likeor subscribe or any of that
thing, but if you want coollittle treats, cool little
treats and tricks, that willsend you in a box if you do
become a subscriber and that'llabsolutely help the show because
Right now you know paying forthe hosting and a couple of the

(24:34):
things that we've got, it's nottoo bad, but it definitely would
help if we had some support onthat end.
But that's again that's on usand I will continue to do it
because I love doing this.
So Next episode will not be outthis Monday.
It will be out.
Let me double check on the datehere.
It'll be January 29th andthat's the one that I'm gonna do

(25:01):
with Uncle Sawyer.
It is a listener suggestion andhopefully we'll have some cool
little Thank, cool things inthat one that we haven't had in
other episodes.
I'm hoping we're gonna causeour fingers and when I say cool
things I mean like Interviewclips with the person actually
involved with the case.
So we're hoping for that, keeping our fingers crossed.

(25:22):
We'll see how that goes andWe'll try to keep on a regular
schedule from now on.
So we'll go back to every otherMonday, unless we have bonus
episodes.
We sprinkle in there for youguys just to give you updates.
Sprinkle, sprinkle.
He was doing them, the handmotion for the spring.
Possibly, but otherwise you guysjust keep listening, keep

(25:43):
joining in, keep Content toguess if you, if you feel like
you need to, where you want to.
You've got plenty of avenues, all of the, and the email is
still a good one too.
That's where a lot of ourlistener suggestions for the
next couple episodes, because Iplan on doing all the episodes
that I have been Suggested sincewe started and since we've got

(26:04):
them since I started saying, hey, throw them into the email.
We've got at least three, soI'm gonna try to do those here
before I go back to my alreadykind of plan, the list of
episodes that I had Written down.
So we're gonna try to do thoselistening suggestions so I can
get those out to show you guyshow much you know, I am care, I
do care and I do appreciate thesuggestions and we are going to

(26:26):
do them.

Kyler (26:28):
She's Don't do the work.
We very much appreciatelisteners suggestions.
If for no other reason than ittells us what you are interested
in what avenues to look inright, and Then the two ones
that have been suggested havebeen really good ones, to be

(26:48):
really interesting, veryintricate in Right, thank you.

Kellye (26:53):
And they're older that the two that we're about to do,
coming up this the end ofJanuary and then the next one in
February.
Those two are from the 80s andthey're one of them was solved,
but the other one is stillunsolved, and so I mean, like
these are cases that matter topeople still so to this day.
So it's it's really weappreciate, especially in the

(27:15):
case of the unsolved one, thatwe're supposed to be, we're
gonna try to get to here at theend of January.
That means a lot to us that youwould, you know, give that to
us, knowing that that stillmeans that much to the people
who are still trying to get thisthing solved.

Kyler (27:28):
So, and that we appreciate that y'all tells more
people to listen, because themore people that hear about that
case that's right the morelikely it is to get any kind of
information about.

Kellye (27:37):
That's right because then you know You'll hear it a
lot on all the true crimepodcast.
Somebody out there knowssomething and that's all it
takes is that one little bit ofinformation from that one person
who remembers that one thing, and sometimes that can be enough
and it's finally willing to saysomething.

Kyler (27:54):
That's right, just needs a little bit of a Coercion,
sorry baby, oh so.
I'm gonna go.
I thought you were finishingthe sentence.
They just needs a little bit of.

Kellye (28:04):
Ha no, I apologize in advance because I know that I'm
not going to be able to edit allof the cat Russellings out of
this one's.
Our cats have been going stircrazy because they're not used
to us being in the house as muchas we've Been in the house
because of the cold, so they'reliterally going bananas.
Um, so I apologize silent butyou can't run from one in the
house together without soundinglike a herd of horses.

(28:28):
So, anyway, we appreciate youguys so, so much and we look
forward to continuing this year.
Hopefully, everybody is goingto doing well.
Everybody made it through thispart of the storm and I know
that the end of January is goingto be another hectic, crazy one
.
That is not gonna get muchbetter before it gets worse, so
Good luck with that.

Kyler (28:46):
Stay safe listeners, not in Louisiana.
It's been 32 degrees, I thinkwas the high, or higher than the
high for the last couple ofdays.

Kellye (28:56):
No 28 or 29 was a high today or higher than the high.

Kyler (29:01):
It's been 32 in like the last couple of hours.
Either way, I just know thatregardless.
My point is it's beenSub-freezing temperatures here
and and sleety and it was barelysnowing.
The kids got literally likefour hours of snow.
Maybe I felt so bad.

Kellye (29:17):
Yeah, but it's been cold and anybody in the south right
now and that South Belt looklike Texas, louisiana,
mississippi, ish.
I know that it's been freezing,it's been very cold and we
