Change Your View - Haseena Shaheed-Jackson

Do not be Forgotten – Change Your View and Take Back the Controls Those individuals who Sit in a corner because they have been informed that their thoughts and opinions do not matter. Walks in the shadows of others because they have been brainwashed to believe that they are inferior. Fear taking the next steps to level up in their personal or professional life. Relinquish authority to others to make the decisions and choices for their life. Allow life storms and crises to put them in permanent pause, resulting in settling. I was one of these individuals until I took back control. I changed me view as you can to. Recall in Dirty Dancing, the star Baby walked in the shadow of her older sister, Lisa. Lisa was given preferential treatment by her father, Dr. Jake. Dr. Jake viewed her as being the star of the family. Dr. Jake put Baby in the corner. He lavished all attention on Lisa. Bad boy Johnny saw the potential in Baby. He tried to ignore her as well. Baby was a woman with talent. She was not created to be in the shadows. To be overlooked. The final scene in the movie took Baby out of the corner. Johnny walks in and up to her table at the banquet. He says to her dad, “No one puts Baby in a corner.” Johnny takes Baby's hand and they get to dancing it up. Shook up the party and people. Made a boring dance, the highlight of the entire vacation. This is what I want you to say to self. “No one is going to put me in a corner. I will not be forgotten.” My show is a resource to aid you in standing up and taking action. I want to help others to stand up and take action.
