In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Sanjeev Niles, the classical baritone singer, song writer and composer from Sri Lanka. Channa met Sanjeev during Rock Company gigs in early 2000s, when Sanjeev fronted the goth rock band Stonebroke.
Sanjeev has stylistically primarily influenced by classical music while drawing from other genres such as Rock and Metal as well.
He has released several original songs which incorporate symphonic classical orchestration and extend to other instruments like Sri Lankan drums and also acoustic and electric guitar. He has also collaborated with some leading musicians in Sri Lanka.
