Tracy (02:12):
Thank you so much for
having me today.
Rose (02:14):
I'm so happy that you're
here and I've been looking
forward to our interview or ourchat, both being Reiki masters
and yoga teachers, so I know wehave a lot to talk about.
I want to hear more about you, your story and how you began
actually your journey as a guideand Reiki and yoga teacher.
Tracy (02:35):
All right, well, let's
begin.
So as long as I could remembertwo things I wanted to be a
teacher and a mom.
So as a child that's where Ikind of was gearing towards
Things would come in dreams.
I just had a sense of knowingthings and I kind of pushed that
aside, got married, had mybeautiful children and then,
(03:00):
when my daughter was about, Iwould say about three years old,
I just got into yoga, and itwas a beautiful love affair,
let's call it that, and so Ijust could not get enough of it.
I was going every day, sometimes twice a day.
I absolutely loved it, and inaddition to that, I'm also an
(03:21):
elementary school teacher.
So if you hear me say wordslike cozy mosey, right, that's
kind of love that's coming frommy cue.
So I warn people as I teach thatif you know you hear that come
out and you know I was doing ayoga class and referenced Jack
and the Beanstalk.
So how can you do that, right,in a yin class?
(03:41):
But anyway, continuing on onthis wonderful journey in a yin
class.
But anyway, continuing on onthis wonderful journey.
And my very good friend broughtup something called Reiki and
she's like you got to try this.
She came down to visit and wewent to a session.
I was like I don't know if I'mready for this, so put that on
the back burner.
Continued on with yoga.
(04:02):
I moved I was living at the timein Charleston, south Carolina.
Moved to Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania, where I had been
born and raised.
I was going through a divorceand had to go back teaching.
So taught elementary school, was a kindergarten teacher,
preschool teacher, did that.
And then in 2020, things justwent topsy turvy.
(04:25):
Of course, prior actually toCOVID, my sister passed and with
my sister passing, trying to doas much as I could to kind of
really elevate myself, I thoughtthat if I could kind of raise
my frequency, that she wouldcome more in dreams and I can
communicate with her becausethere were so many things after
her passing that I just neededanswers for and I just wanted to
(04:50):
find out these things.
And she would come in dreams, but it was sparingly so I began
the journey of Reiki and I cameto Reiki to basically help, heal
or help my family really my dad, my children and I never
imagined that day I stepped intothat Reiki One class that I
would be teaching.
(05:11):
So it's just been an amazingjourney.
My husband was transferred toEl Paso to work at a military
hospital and he ended up wantingto stay here.
So after COVID passed, myfather had passed and then my
daughter.
Our daughter finally graduatedand I came out here where I
(05:34):
decided to try yoga and Reikifull time, and that's what I've
been doing for the past twoyears.
So that sums it up in a littlenutshell.
Rose (05:42):
I love that and you also.
Besides teaching, you were also.
You worked in radio.
Tracy (05:50):
I did a little bit, a
little bit.
So how that came about, youknow, it's amazing how the
universe presents things.
It's a real lesson inattracting, not chasing.
And I had written actuallythree books and when my third
book came out, someone contactedme and said hey, there's a
(06:10):
woman named Barbara who has thisradio show.
We'd love for you to assist her.
So I was kind of behind thescenes and in those days it was
on the phone and it was live.
So we're recording on the phonewhile I'm doing the little chat
room and I would have to, youknow, ask the questions.
(06:31):
But there were so many timesthat we didn't have anybody ask
the questions, so my job was tocreate the questions on the spot
.
So I really didn't know thatmuch about the guest until the
episode was being recorded andthen I would say, like user 2758
, ask this question.
Rose (06:49):
So it gave you a lot of
experience to then do your
podcast.
Tracy (06:53):
So podcast, yes, I did
that for two years and then you
know, life got busy.
It was at a time in the daywhere all the kids activities
were, so I had to put that asidefor a little bit.
But it helped because itcircled around later to the
podcast, so I was able to getthat up pretty quickly.
Rose (07:11):
Yeah, and I love how
people share.
When they first experiencedReiki, even though Reiki you
were curious about it and Reikithen kind of came into your life
, it circled back and it alwayspresents itself at the time when
you need it the most.
I think Reiki, I always sayReiki finds you.
When people say, well, I wannalearn Reiki I don't know if I'm
(07:35):
right Well, when you're readyyou'll know.
So Reiki came back and foundyou and you have a lot of your
intuitive guidance.
You have a lot of your clairsare open.
So how do you work with thoseor how do they help you when you
are either doing Reiki or anyof your healing with others?
Tracy (07:57):
It's so interesting with
the clairs because I kind of
call it my BS meter, the Clairsbecause I kind of call it my BS
meter, meaning that I can tellwhen someone's not being
authentic when they walk intothe room.
And as I have worked with Reiki, did self Reiki, teach, work
(08:18):
with clients this gets strongerand stronger.
So someone can walk into theroom and I can feel if they have
, say, a spirit attachment tothem or something going on.
And I can even feel if someonehas that placement or attunement
for Reiki, and that happened intime.
But it just depends on theclient.
Sometimes they don't wantanything, they just don't want
(08:41):
to know that it kind of spooksthem out a little bit.
So you have to be very mindful.
Then you have others.
What did you see?
Tell me this, tell me that I'llsee colors.
An interesting thing that hashappened in the last I think
seven months where I can placemy hand and it's usually like at
the bottoms of the feet, and Iasked the soul what were you?
What do you want to tell me?
(09:01):
And it'll show me like a littlemovie scene of past lives and
what's the message?
And there's usually a littlemessage to say afterwards and
then you just gauge the client.
Sometimes it's too much forthem.
Or you'll ask a differentquestion, like one that came
through was a Native Americanand I asked you know, do you
(09:22):
resonate with Native American?
Oh yeah, like my decor.
And then it goes down there.
But it's interesting how itshows up and it's so different
for each client and I get a lotof like deja vu moments where I
have perhaps dreamt it and thenI'm in that situation.
I'm like, oh, my goodness, Iknow what's happening now.
Rose (09:43):
Oh, I love hearing those
stories.
Tracy (09:44):
That's great about the
feet, though I never, oh my gosh
, I asked it and it usually hasa message and it seems so clear
and there's always that doubtlike am I going crazy?
Do I just have a hugeimagination?
But it seems so clear, likeyou're watching a film and
you're observing it.
So it's been quite interestingwith it and, as I talked to the
(10:08):
client, then we'll find out somesynchronicities and things like
that.
But that's been quite aninteresting.
That has happened again withthe self Reiki every day working
.
The more you teach, the moreyou're out there.
You know online that I do likeInsight, timer, things like that
.
It's continuing to grow.
Rose (10:28):
Yeah, you know, and the
feet if you do.
Past life regression have youever done or have you ever
received?
I've never received it beingguided?
Yeah, they show you the feet.
Oh, do they?
Yeah, so when you said that, sowhen you're being guided
through a past life regressionand I've had it done a couple of
times, once it was with BrianWeiss who wrote Many Lives, many
(10:51):
Masters, or Many Masters, manyLives he did it with, like an
audience of like I don't know,300 people.
He says you know, when you walkthrough this portal or door or
scene, look down at your feet.
Tracy (11:02):
Okay.
Rose (11:03):
And it shows you, like,
what kind of shoes you have on
and then cause that's like thefirst thing you're stepping into
.
So when you said that, Iimmediately thought of that.
Like your feet have walked allthese paths and it holds all the
messages because the bottom ofyour feet also have energy
centers, so it's absorbing thememories.
Tracy (11:20):
Yeah, yeah.
So I just was always guided toplace, you know, one hand on the
sole of the foot, one hand onthe top of it.
And I asked it the question andwhat you know?
Tell me your story and I wouldsee different small scenes of it
.
Rose (11:34):
Yeah, yeah, it's very
healing to people to to hear
impressions that I, too, like toshare, and I also sometimes
think I'm just going to say it.
I tell people, I'm just goingto say it if it resonates with
you, yes, or or not it's.
Sometimes I even have people, their ancestors that have
crossed, actually show up andhelp heal, like I'll, I'll, you
(11:57):
know, I could see them puttingtheir hands on the person on the
on the table and it's kind ofyou know, it's kind of you know,
it's kind of cool.
I'm like, okay, you can join me, you know, yeah, so it's fun.
Tracy (12:08):
Yeah.
Rose (12:09):
Yeah, what are some of the
common struggles that you see
people having a hard time withor coming to you to help them
with?
Tracy (12:19):
A lot of anxiety,
depression anxiety.
I've had some clients say, hey,if I come to you, can I stop
taking my blood pressuremedication?
I don't do that.
Rose (12:31):
That's a hard one yeah.
Tracy (12:33):
Your doctor right.
It's never a substitute for youknow medical or your doctor's.
It's never a substitute formedical or your doctor's what
your doctor prescribes.
So I get a lot of that.
I also get for training peoplethat want to teach, so I think
I'm like a teacher, teacher.
So I'm getting a lot thatthey've had dreams or they have
(12:58):
the calling and synchronicitieshave happened where they find me
and they're like you're myteacher, because I want to do
this.
So I'm finding a lot of that.
So I'm doing a lot moreone-on-one trainings versus
classes.
Now.
Rose (13:10):
Are your one-on-one
trainings?
Are they so typically?
Let's go back.
So typically your grouptrainings are for you have it
divided into, like Reiki one andthen two and then master level
or master teacher level, and ittakes time.
Go ahead, I'm sorry.
Tracy (13:27):
Yeah, so it depends on
what Reiki it is.
So Reiki Rahiho, we have likelevel one.
With that one, the lineage thatI was taught, we wait 21 days.
After 21 days we meet back upand then certificate, then a few
more months later level two andthen six months, if not more,
level three for master's andthen, with that particular
(13:49):
lineage you have an internshipfor master teacher.
Now, one of our favorites isHoly Fire right.
Rose (13:56):
Yes, holy Fire, you can do
Holy.
Tracy (13:58):
Fire favorites is Holy
Fire, right, yes, Holy Fire.
You can do Holy Fire.
William RanD has a wonderfuloutline that he has placed
together so you can do it.
You know teaching it togetherHitoshi style or Takata style,
where it's, you know, one day,and then the next day, and then
depending, I believe it's likesix months later for the master.
So I do that, but forone-on-ones I would follow along
(14:22):
the same thing.
So the recommended six to eighthours it's usually not that
long.
We can wrap it up in about fivehours.
I do online and I do in person.
Rose (14:33):
Yeah, yeah.
Sometimes it's hard to gather awhole bunch of people for a
class and you don't want peopleto wait and say you know they're
going to wait only because ifthey're ready then you want to
honor that.
Yeah, you know, yeah, but theother?
Tracy (14:47):
systems I have, it takes
a couple hours, like for money
Reiki, that's like a three and ahalf hour training.
Amaria, that's another threehour training.
So it just depends on the typeof system and animal.
That's another three hourtraining.
So it just depends on the typeof system and animal Reiki.
Animal Reiki is very much thesame as the holy fire, level one
(15:08):
one day, level two the next, and then you wait for the
masters.
Rose (15:10):
So I wasn't aware that
there are 10 different systems
of Reiki and you, I mean, Ithought I took a lot of training
, so I'm very impressed.
And what are some of the otherbesides animal Reiki, which I
know is very popular?
You mentioned money Reiki andAmaria Reiki.
Tracy (15:27):
Yeah, there's so many
more that I out there.
It's amazing, what's out there.
I mean it's I call it again.
The preschool teacher means isgoing to come out.
It's called find yourGoldilocks.
That you find the right one foryou, because someone may not
resonate with Azui, right?
(15:48):
Yeah, maybe Tibetan is your one, maybe Holy Fire is your one,
maybe kid, maybe animal right, there's crystal, there's
Kundalini, and so when someonecomes to me like, oh, I really
just don't like the Azui, okay, well, let's try another one,
here you go.
And so money Reiki is so muchfun.
There's level one, two andthree.
(16:10):
As you navigate out into thedifferent Reiki, you're going to
find that most of them you needyour Azui symbols or whatever
lineage that gives you the leveltwo, that distance symbol.
That's what you need for someof these other ones.
So the same thing as for moneyReiki.
But that really is giving theenergy to items.
(16:32):
So say, like you get a dollarbill, well, where has this
dollar bill been?
What has this dollar bin beenused for?
Right?
So you can only imagine whatit's been used for.
So it gives you techniqueswhere you clear the energy, but
then you place a blessing onthat bill and send it out into
the world here.
And even when you get that billfrom the IRS or the electric
(16:56):
company that's too high, something that angers you,
you're going to bless thatBecause that person who opens
that up, say at the electriccompany, or has to process that
they need that blessing to, theyhave to work, you know, and
provide for their family.
So it's changing your attitudefrom one of poverty mind
thinking to abundance, becausewhen you think about it,
(17:17):
abundance is everywhere, it'severywhere.
You just have to look for it.
And so it's just getting thechange of the energy using music
, using other techniques thatyou can bring in, like a money
bowl, money box, and so theseare really cute techniques.
To kind of it gives you thetools you need to kind of
navigate.
So when you get hit with, oh mygoodness, the car broke down,
(17:40):
oh my goodness, the water heater, you don't go to that panic
mode, you go to breathe.
You're saying thoseaffirmations I am a money magnet
, I am a money magnet, I'm goingto find my way out of this, and
then you'll begin to okay, howcan we get out of this?
What steps do we need to take?
So you're not in that kind offear.
Rose (18:00):
Panic yeah.
Tracy (18:01):
Panic.
But, if you keep doing this, like you, it gives you like all
these affirmations that you use,but you try to weave it into
your day, just like you take avitamin, just like you take your
medicine for preventative.
That's what you do with this, because money makes the world go
round, right, and you have somany different.
You know people living in atent and then others that are
having a $3 million birthdayparty, right.
(18:23):
So you have to find that withinyou.
To your symbols.
Angel Reiki is wonderful whereit takes one of the archangels
(18:43):
and kind of merges it with anUsui symbol.
So each one, each angel, isassigned to one of the Azui
symbols.
So that way, when you bring in,like, ,Cho Ku Rei, that
guardian, that archangel will bethere.
It's not even.
You don't even have to call.
Rose (19:02):
Do you tie your own symbol
, a particular?
Is there a particular symbolwith a particular angel?
Yes, that's how that works, like Archangel Michael or
Gabriel Michael has one andUriol has one and so forth.
Tracy (19:16):
So that way, when you
either call for that angel or
you bring in that symbol, they're both together as you
work.
So someone who typically workswith angels as you bring your
session in, you ask yourascended masters, guardian
angels, spirit guides.
So when you're bringing in thatsymbol over the client, that
angel will already be with thatthrough that journey.
Rose (19:38):
So it, I love that.
Tracy (19:39):
Very beautiful.
Yeah, that's a three-hourtraining as well, and that helps
you be a master teacher so thatyou can go out and you can
train and level people up tobring in the archangels.
Rose (19:51):
Well, when you have that
one, I'm taking it.
Tracy (19:54):
Sounds good.
Rose (19:55):
I love that one and you
know, going back to the money
one, as you're talking about it,I was thinking about some of
the other struggles that peoplemay feel that are associated
with money is like lack ofself-worth, because a lot of
people that have that you knowthey feel that they're not
worthy enough to make more moneyor be in a certain job.
So really that energy aroundthat money, reiki is so there's
(20:19):
so much to that and it can healon so many levels.
Tracy (20:22):
It absolutely can.
And using music, like, we'llput ABBA song on money, money,
and that's how we'll start.
We'll just dance as we come on,just to shift the energy.
Music, is that universallanguage, right?
And so if that song doesn'twork for you, then let's pull
out.
You know, right, and so if thatsong doesn't work for you, then
let's pull out.
You know, uh, the beatles money, money, right, and so we'll
(20:43):
change the song.
Go around your house and dancefor a little bit.
Right, things are going to betough sometimes, but bring that
playfulness in, bring thoseaffirmations in.
You know, as you approachthings, you know, uh, say you
know, the universe is alwaysworking in my favor, the
universe is always working in myfavor, the universe is always
working in my favor.
So when those negative thoughtscome in and we have that
cultural conditioning rightUnintentionally, possibly, by
(21:07):
our parents, you know, as yousee them arguing, fighting over
things, over money issues that'sput upon us, then into
relationships, we have thatco-workers, so we pick up a lot
on the journey with with moneyin the relationship.
Money can be used to bringblessings, but it also can be
used for dark things as well.
(21:28):
So that's what makes it aninteresting subject to do.
But as you hold the money, whether you're making a digital
transaction, whether you'rewriting a check, whether you're
paying cash, you bless thatmoney so that other person, so
you're sending it out into theworld.
So the idea is to level up asmany people with money Reiki so
that we're working together tochange the collective.
Rose (21:49):
Yeah, that's great, I love
that, and then it adjusts it.
Tracy (21:52):
You learn the symbols of
other countries as well, so you
can bring those symbols in andit's beautiful meditations with
that river of abundance withthat.
So you have very similar to howthe holy fire does with the
experiences.
Rose (22:11):
You know, one of the
things that people I know I did.
I'm going to talk about mepersonally.
When I first started eithergiving sessions or even, yeah,
giving sessions on Reiki, let'ssay, I had a hard time charging
money.
Do you ever hear people saythat to you, like I don't know
(22:32):
if I should charge?
Yes, but there's this wholeenergy around that.
Do you have any thoughts aboutthat?
Tracy (22:38):
Yeah, that's a struggle
bus.
I've been on yeah struggle bus.
Or the train, rather.
So, yeah, you know that therehas to be an exchange of energy,
but you also know that this isa gift to share with the world.
So what do you do?
So I go back to therationalization of you know, you
(23:01):
give a fish, you feed him for aday.
You know feed for a day, but ifyou teach them how to fish,
they do it for a lifetime.
So you're teaching them a skill.
So when someone says, mygoodness, your master's class is
this much money?
Well, it's based on theInternational Center of Reiki,
right?
That's the recommended pricefor it.
(23:23):
Well, why is it so much money?
Well, this book is a huge toolhere.
I'm not only giving you know, you're getting the master symbol
, you're getting the holy firesymbol, you're getting world
peace, Reiki, right.
And then you're getting theability to teach online and in
person.
Now you're getting a book thathas all these different
experiences in it and the spiritattachment release.
(23:45):
So these are tools that you'regoing to help in your business.
You have someone take onemaster class off of you.
You already broke even right.
You get a couple students foryour level one and two, you're
paying off on your investment.
So that's how I rationalize itwith that.
And that's where the struggleis is there's so many people out
(24:05):
there that have differentprices.
Well, why should I go to youwhen this person is like $50
lower?
And I wish there was a standardof pricing that we had with it,
so people can just go by theenergy and not by the price with
it.
Yeah, that's a good point.
That's a hard had with it, sopeople can just go by the energy
and not by the price with it.
Rose (24:22):
Yeah, that's a good point.
Tracy (24:23):
That's a hard one with
it.
So you have theserecommendations with you know
the ICRT and the InternationalCenter of Reiki.
You want to follow that.
But then you have some that areintuitive and they're like well
, I want to make it 333 and 222and 111.
And like that's great, but wewant to level it up.
And then I'll find someonethat'll say, well, I can take
(24:45):
this class online for $14 and 99cents.
Well, that's great, it's arecording, that's a great
resource.
But you really need that liveteacher, whether it's on zoom or
in person, to really guide you,to ask these questions,
especially level one with it.
So, yeah, but the money thing'salways an issue, and especially
(25:05):
when friends come with you andfamily come with you, and then
you feel like they're takingadvantage of you because you're
giving them deals and then youget burned out.
And then it's like, okay, Ihave to set the boundaries up
with it.
Yeah, and my teacher when Istarted, she recommended keep
your prices high, don't go low, because she just was so excited
(25:26):
that she wanted to share thegift of Reiki, right, so she had
rock bottom prices and then, with her experience, her
knowledge, as she tried to raisethem, her clients didn't want
to pay that.
They still wanted to pay the.
You know the lower beginningprice that they started at.
Rose (25:42):
So and all these other
trainings too.
That I love that.
Thank you for sharing that.
I agree with you too.
You know you're teaching peoplea lifelong skill and there's a
lot of values to what we'reteaching.
There's so much information andto have someone like yourself
who understands it all that canexplain it.
And I mean I know when I havestudents, I become their mentor
(26:03):
for life.
I tell them, hey, I'm here, I'mnot going away.
Tracy (26:07):
Oh yeah.
Rose (26:08):
I'm here for you.
You can ask me any questions, whatever.
So I want to continue thatconnection that I have with my
students and I have and I thinkthat, shooting at a Walmart a
few years ago- and so a grantcame to many of the community
(26:39):
centers which is amazing, havingthat grant, so they were able
to provide free fitness programs.
Tracy (26:46):
So you have your Zumba,
you have your cardio, you have
your yoga, right.
So people were coming to all ofthe different community centers
for free yoga.
But at the same time it'spulling the cost, the price down
of those that have the studios,so now it's like $10 a class,
$5 a class, sliding scale, andpeople aren't realizing.
(27:08):
You know all the training thatwe go for.
You know a 200 hour training isnot cheap, right?
The 300 hour is not cheap.
Rose (27:17):
All the things that you
have to pay for your
certifications, your insurance.
Tracy (27:21):
The yoga alliance that
you have to pay for and they're
not realizing that when I'mshowing up and I'm doing a $10
class and giving you how much ofexperience as an you know, an
E500 hour teacher here, right,so that's what makes it a
struggle here, where you'regetting burned out and you're
going to places that you can getthe contract so you can go
(27:43):
there.
So it's really affecting thestudios here.
So we had two studios thatclosed within the last two years
.
Rose (27:50):
Yeah, yeah, same here.
They're closing and the onlyones surviving are really the
fitness centers like the YMCA.
Is that they can afford to?
Tracy (28:16):
center.
Well, that's rolled into intotheir membership and they're
working out, and then all of asudden, oh wait there's a class
over there.
Let me do it.
Yeah, hop in right versus, youknow, driving and coming out to
this place, to this studio, todo a class, right.
But again, it's wonderful tohave it where our community gets
moving.
It has that.
Okay, it's free.
We want them to, you know, goright, Because movement is
medicine.
Yes, then again, it's hurtingthose that you know.
(28:38):
This is our passion.
Rose (28:47):
Yeah Well.
So so, segueing into somethingthat about the same topic,
because the landscape of yoga ischanging, has been changing you
have come up with a brilliantidea that I want you to share
with the audience about your, your beep, beep it makes me
laugh okay so um, althoughwonderful El Paso, uh, rentals,
(29:10):
uh for commercial property arepretty high and I just explained
to to you how El Paso haschanged with offering the
variety of yoga for free.
Tracy (29:21):
So I created Beep Beep
the yoga Jeep, which is my Jeep,
going around and doing eventsat schools, daycares, in
services, events.
I come to you Also.
I'm having in the Jeepresources, blankets, bolsters.
I have these interestingwoodworm hammers that you tap
(29:45):
out, which is great for Yin, andmats that I can rent out as
well.
So I do a variety of yogaclasses, including laughter yoga
, which is lots of fun, chairyoga, yin, hatha, beginner, and
I also have on there reiki, meditation yoga, nidra, kids
yoga as well.
So it's just a variety ofthings where I come to you.
Rose (30:08):
I love that.
That is a brilliant idea andyou will be able to just spread
the love of yoga even more andYoga Nidra and all this.
That's brilliant, I love it.
And you know, when you saidbeep, beep and I realized before
when we talked about it, or Isaw it first I'm like, oh, it's
too bad, you can't have like theroadrunner as your mascot.
(30:30):
Unfortunately it would cost toomuch money, but maybe somebody
similar.
I love that.
That is great, you know.
I love that you're also puttingit out into the schools.
You know I talk to a lot ofyoga teachers outside of the
podcast.
No one ever says you know, Ireally want to bring it into the
schools and I've been saying it.
Maybe I should do it, but I'vetried.
(30:51):
It's really hard to get intothe school system sometimes.
You know they're very much, they have their approach, their
ideas, but we can get into theschools.
That's really where we need tobring it, yeah.
Tracy (31:03):
And the meditation.
Rose (31:04):
Yeah, well, you're a
teacher or elementary school
teacher, so you have a littlebit of a connection there.
But that's where it needs tostart, because kids are
struggling with so much more andwhen you talked about anxiety
before, there's so much a riseof anxiety amongst the young
kids, teenagers, younger yeah, wow, well, I wish you luck with
(31:26):
that.
I love that Great.
So you do yoga teacher trainingas well.
You talked about Yoga Nidra.
You're on Insight Timer as well.
Tracy (31:36):
I am on Insight Timer.
Yes, I've been on it for abouttwo years.
Rose (31:43):
Wow, and for people that
don't know what that is, it's a
free app that you can use.
You can pay for certain thingsas well.
Tracy (31:46):
right, yeah, they have a
premium.
Yeah.
Rose (31:47):
They have a premium, but
you can download the app and are
people able to find you withthe free version?
Tracy (31:53):
They are.
It was a wonderful tool duringCOVID Originally.
What it was is it started outas a timer right.
It was a little bell that weused during teaching yoga
classes and then it turned intooffering of just so many things.
So any time of the day you cancome on.
You see the teacher, we don'tsee you, we just are able.
If you place anything in thecomment section, we're able to
(32:13):
read it, and are able, if youplace anything in the comment
section, we're able to read it,and so you can peek in.
So a variety.
I mean we have somebody onthere that does sound bowls and
yoga to just talks.
There's just such diversitythere and what a blessing it was
when COVID hit that I could beable to go on and just watch and
(32:33):
be a part of it.
And so when I kind of gotthings set up here, I decided
I'm going to go on, I'm going tolike give back.
So that's my way of giving back.
So I do Reiki on there, I doyoga and I've been every Friday
doing ASMR, which is quiteinteresting and it's really
taken off Right now.
(32:55):
Even though there's people whohave recorded audio on there,
I'm the only one right now doingit live.
Rose (33:03):
What's ASMR?
Tracy (33:05):
Yes, it's autonomous
sensory meridian response.
So it's those tinglingsensations so like lots of
tapping, crinkling noises.
You know a fan, so anythingthat you can think of you know
around your home to tap and aspeople are going to sleep Now,
(33:26):
there's certain noises that maybother people, but then others.
It feels very relaxing to it.
So I just use different thingsthat I collected in my teaching
and my music and things andpeople request things.
So I use like Koshi chimes, Iuse my rain stick, like I could
pick up this little thing andjust tap it.
So you do this little tappingand you whisper this is ASMR and
(33:50):
you just do things like that.
Rose (33:52):
It's on Friday.
Tracy (33:54):
Fridays Fridays Yep ASMR
.
Rose (33:59):
And at any particular time
.
Tracy (34:02):
So it's 8pm Mountain
Time 8pm Mountain.
Okay, and this is reallypopular on TikTok so you can
check different people out onTikTok.
There's people that get realloud with it.
They do chaos ASMR.
Some do Reiki ASMR.
While they're giving you theReiki, they'll have like the
(34:24):
sound of fire or somethingcrinkling.
So it's really taken off.
Rose (34:30):
I've never heard of it.
I'm learning so much with you,Tracy, I am in awe of you.
Tracy (34:36):
So yeah, so you can be
on there, so you'll see people,
they'll do this, they'll havetheir crystal, they'll have some
sounds going on.
So they blend different thingstogether, so yeah.
Rose (34:45):
Oh well, I'm gonna have to
check it out.
Tracy (34:47):
Her name's the Reiki
Fairy.
She uses a feather, you know, and she'll say things and you'll
hear it brush up against themic.
Rose (34:54):
Yeah, brilliant I'm.
There are some things that, like, I have the sensory hearing
thing, like loud noises, and Iknow my husband has a CPAP mask
and that actually is verysoothing sound to me, sure, and
it helps me to sleep.
You know, he's like if he, ifhe doesn't have the mask on and
he snores, I'm like youdefinitely have to either leave
(35:15):
the room or put the mask on.
Yeah, so yeah, mine's a littleinteresting.
Tracy (35:19):
I'll start with like
pulling cards, we'll do a little
bit of breath work and thenwe'll go into them.
They're called triggers.
So in the real world triggersaren't a great thing, but in
ASMR they're a good thing.
They give those littlegoosebumps, tingling sensations,
you know, hair rising, and soit's just interesting what
(35:39):
people really enjoy.
So I had gone to a thrift shop,of all places, and someone had
these kind of shells and theyhad a costume.
It was a part of a costumesupposed to be around your wrist
.
I thought how playful these are, these wooden shells.
And there had been the biggesthit making these noises as they
clung together and that's a bigrequest.
To the point.
(35:59):
They asked me to record it,they being the people in the
class, and I made a littlerecording of it.
Rose (36:05):
Oh, I'm going to
definitely check it out.
I love that it may be my thing.
I think I'm going to be hooked.
Tracy (36:11):
It might be your thing.
Yeah, I have.
Rose (36:12):
Yeah.
So I want to ask you about yourown, the role of self-care you
have in your life, because Iknow people like you.
You're giving, giving, giving afamily, and you're teaching and
you're doing and you're beepingon your Jeep.
What do you do for yourself tohelp you like just chill, like
(36:34):
your self-care thing?
Tracy (36:42):
thing.
Well, I'm an empath and so it'skind of like how you come out
of the dryer and the staticclings on you and things come to
me and stick to me and so Ihave to be really mindful and
careful as I go through.
So, wearing a lot of likeselenite, you know, the jewelry
that kind of pulls things in.
But I need to do my yoga nidra.
So there's a teacher that Ilisten to every Wednesday.
(37:02):
I have teachers as well that Ilistened to, carolina Goldberg.
She's wonderful.
She is a Reiki teacher, yogateacher, but she also channels.
So I listened to her on herYouTube channel.
With that I do self care every, every day.
And the universe will tell me,the energy will tell me like,
(37:23):
girl, you got to slow down and Iwas kind of going and teaching
and things were really takingoff and I was kind of neglecting
that.
And right around October of lastyear I never had a problem ever
with my blood pressure, alwayshad textbook.
And the strangest thinghappened one day I woke up and I
realized like, wow, like Ican't get my wedding ring off.
(37:45):
I've had this wedding ring for15, you know, 16 years and I
sparingly took it off and it gotto the point by the next day I
needed it cut off and Imentioned it that evening to my
daughter and she was like, hmm,she said you might want to check
your blood pressure.
I'm like what?
Like you're crazy.
I always had textbook, noproblem, okay.
Well, a few days later went tothe dentist.
(38:07):
Went to the dental hygienist.
She was cleaning my teeth andafterwards she looked at my
chart.
She said do you have high bloodpressure?
I'm like not, I better go.
So I got a blood pressuremonitor, checked it.
Sure enough, it was beyond the140, over 90.
And so I contacted the doctor, made a care plan and then,
(38:31):
through the months, it was foundout that I have what's called
white coat hypertension.
Every time I go to the doctorit soars anywhere else I am.
So I've had to be very mindfulin bringing in my Reiki practice
with this, and so it got to thepoint where I said to the
doctor I'm going to change theway I'm doing this.
(38:52):
What advice would I give to mystudents, right?
So I came in and right beforethe medical assistant gave my
vitals, I said I need a momentand I placed hands over my heart
.
Here I imagined the lightcoming down.
I placed the symbols and tookthe blood pressure and it was
under the 140, over 90.
And that's what I started doing.
(39:13):
So when I left my house, it wasa low number drive to there,
sit and wait, go in and it wouldbe through the roof.
So I'm having to bring that inas part of my self-care.
So it's just evolving andchanging as it needs it.
So, yeah, I'm really having toput that work in.
Listen to things in the evening.
(39:34):
I was listening to someone lastnight and they were doing a
little bit of a money meditation.
But I really need that to keepmy cup full with it, or the
universe tells me you know what.
Here we go.
We're slowing her down.
Rose (39:45):
Yes, well, you're an Aries
and you have a lot of energy.
Tracy (39:49):
It's a lot of fire
energy.
So I can go, go, go, go, go forsure.
And so cause people are likeyou do so much.
But to me it doesn't feel thatway.
It feels like, oh, I'm notdoing enough, yeah, yeah.
Rose (40:02):
Yeah, I, I, I totally
agree with you.
I feel the same.
I'm not an I'm, I'm Aquarian,and I found out recently I'm.
I don't know if you ever heardof human design, but I never did
until recently, and I found outI'm a projector, and a
projector needs a lot of rest.
And I'm like, what are youtalking about?
I don't rest, you know.
(40:23):
Then I, then I think back, I'mlike, you know, I guess I have
to because I get burnt out andoverwhelmed.
That's like my, my, my redlight, you're, you know, like
the blinking overwhelm,overwhelm.
And that's when I okay, I gotto start like slowing down, yeah
, yeah.
So I'm learning, you know, alot of self Reiki, a lot of self
(40:43):
Reiki.
Tracy (40:44):
And I need, like, uh, at
least one or two days where I
don't leave the house just toreset.
I just need to be still andrelax.
So I've really had to bringthat in, since things are coming
.
Uh, there's been someopportunities that have been
flowing in and it's like okay, thank you, universe.
Rose (41:01):
But yeah, you got to feel
it, realize what you could let
go of too, you know.
Tracy (41:07):
And yes, yeah, there's
things that I have to sit down
and look at the calendar andlike, okay, what, what can I
shift?
What can I change?
You know something has tochange, but the energy will tell
you.
Rose (41:16):
Oh yeah, yes, it's being
aware of the energy.
And I want to talk about yourpodcast, because what inspired
you to create your podcast?
And it's a great podcast.
Tracy (41:25):
Thank you.
Well, this is how interestingthis started.
So about I think it's been overa year, but about a year ago,
year and a half ago, someonereached out to me, a producer,
and first it was email and itwas, like you know, hey, we have
a radio show, love to have youon as a guest.
(41:45):
Whole explanation.
I thought, okay, this is some.
I don't know about this.
Then I got another email hey,I'd love to talk to you.
So finally we connected andwith that connection she said
hey, like this is a show here.
Connection she said hey, likethis is a show here, we'd love
to have you on.
Both of the hosts here havelike over 60 years of experience
(42:07):
in the radio and we're going todo a week where it's self care
and talking about Reiki.
We'd love to have you on.
And it sounded so great and shegave me examples of everything
I'm like okay.
But I found out it is a pay toplay, where they charged you
$1,500 to be on this 30 minuteinterview with no interruption.
And I thought do peopleactually pay for this?
(42:28):
And of course you know she soldit, as of course they do.
We had a tarot reader, we had apsychic, we had this.
And then it made me think, mygoodness, these people are
paying for this, thinking thatthey're going to have 8000
people come to their website andall these amazing things are
going to happen.
And I said you know what?
There has to be a different way.
So I got off of that call, Itold her and I thank you, and I
(42:50):
was thinking about it how couldI be a change, how can I help,
how can I give back?
What can I do?
And then the idea of like, okay, let me start a podcast up, and
it came to me of like I neededa name, what's a name?
And then it came up to ReadySet Reiki.
Well, of course that somebodyhad this name already, right,
ready Set Reiki.
And sure enough, no one did.
(43:11):
And so I was able to trademarkit, do the things that I needed
to do with it, and I got it uppretty quickly, having that
experience from all those yearsago, just being in that two
years of working on Barbara'syou know note talk blog radio
program, and so that's how thatstarted.
So I let anyone come on whoworks with energy doesn't
(43:32):
necessarily have to be Reiki.
I've had psychics and tarotreaders, light language.
I don't charge them anythingfor it.
When they come on, I give themthe video if they would like, so
that they can use it for theirpromotion.
So those people that may nothave the time, those that may
not be tech savvy, have thatopportunity.
So if somebody is interested indoing a training or seeing them
(43:56):
and they're not sure, well hey, listen to my podcast.
Then Get a sense of who I am.
Listen to my voice.
Maybe that's a connection there.
So that's why I put Ready SetReiki together.
Rose (44:06):
I love that.
Oh, that's a great story andit's a great podcast.
I really encourage people tolisten to it.
I'll put the link in the shownotes.
Tracy (44:13):
Thank you.
Rose (44:14):
And I was, I and Tracy, I
was.
I'm honored to you know, Tracyinvited me to speak on the show
as well, so, yes, so have alisten to at least that one, of
course, and all the others, because she has amazing guests,
yeah.
Tracy (44:31):
Yeah, I've been
fortunate enough within this
time frame.
I have over 100 people I'veinterviewed and I am.
They keep coming and I don'twant to say say no, because it's
part of the journey.
So I frame it as a journey.
I don't call myself a host.
I call myself a guy because I'mlearning too.
Every time I connect withsomeone, they're my teacher.
I mean, it's like taking aclass and I've learned so much
(44:55):
from each person.
From each person.
I've connected with people fromScotland, germany, australia.
Someone from Dubai is coming onthe show, so it's just, it's
really expanding my territory.
Rose (45:07):
Yeah, it's so true.
I too have I learned so muchfrom my guests and I am finding
just the most amazing people outthere doing the most amazing
work, and everyone has theseincredible stories.
You know, we're so in ourlittle bubble, even though we're
so connected on the internet, but then you come across people
(45:30):
and they're like they're doingso many good things.
It's just great.
I love it.
Tracy (45:33):
Right right and also
shows too that you know there's
multiple ways of healing.
You know you just again, goingback to Goldilocks, you find
you're just right.
Find what works for you.
You know, maybe you need to seea doctor, maybe you need that
medication, maybe yoga is goingto work.
Maybe you tried Reiki and youknow what.
It's not my thing, but maybe itbrought you to a point of
healing where now you'redownloading life codes right Now
(45:58):
.
Maybe you're being a psychicmedium, so maybe that was
important on the part of yourpath with your healing.
Rose (46:04):
Yeah, wow, that's great.
So is there anything else youwould like to add that we
haven't discussed?
I know we talked a lot about alot of different things.
Is there anything else youwanted to add before we wrap
things up?
Tracy (46:19):
Well, I just want to
tell everybody to keep doing the
work.
You know.
If you wanted to add before wewrap things up, well, I just
want to tell everybody to keepdoing the work.
You know, if you are doingReiki, it's important to do your
self-care every day.
If you are curious about Reiki, give it a try, you know.
And if it's not your thing, give something else a try.
So keep on the journey, keepworking on you.
That's the best thing.
We have to have theseexperiences.
(46:40):
I call them characterdevelopments, right, challenges.
We have to go through theseexperience and what a blessing
to be able to have things in anenergetic toolbox to help you go
through and navigate with alittle bit of ease and a little
bit of grace with that.
So it's nice to have thosethings.
You may not see it or feel itright away, but you'll, it'll
(47:03):
arise when those challengeshappen.
When I lost my sister, you knowit was devastating.
I didn't have the tools.
I did have yoga, so that nextday after she passed, I went to
yoga.
I went to yoga class.
No one.
Why are you here?
Your sister just passed.
That's the tool I had at thetime.
But then, versus when my fatherpassed.
(47:25):
I had all these tools that Ihad had for me that I used to
help my dad, to help the medicalstaff that was working so hard
to keep him going right.
So I'm like, wow, what adifference in that experience
versus this.
So keep doing the work, keepfinding it.
You'll find the one that's justright for you.
Rose (47:45):
Thank you so much for
being here today, tracy.
I appreciate you and all thework that you're doing, and I'm
really honored that you took thetime to be here.
Tracy (47:53):
Thank you, and I
appreciate you too.
You're doing amazing work aswell.
