Raise your pineapple cups and join us for our milestone 52nd episode celebration! We've come full circle by revisiting the Lapu Lapu from Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Resort - the very first drink we featured when our Disney cocktail adventure began one year ago.

With 52 Disney drinks under our belts, we're sharing our definitive rankings of the best and worst beverages across the parks and resorts. The Ottawa Apple from BaseLine Tap House earned unanimous praise as our top pick, while the Lapu Lapu, Cold Brew Martini, and surprisingly delicious Angry Bloody Rancor all made our favorite five list. Not every Disney concoction impressed us though - we didn't hold back our opinions on disappointments like the Mint Julep (which we both agreed was forgettable) and the Sunspot that made our faces pucker "like we were eating Lemon Heads."

The most fascinating revelations came from drinks that completely surprised us, like the PB&J Cocktail from TuneIn Lounge that sounded bizarre on paper but delivered unexpectedly delightful flavors. We also shared our bucket list beverages we're still eager to try - including the theatrical Uh-Oa! from Trader Sam's with its fire ritual and the intriguing La Cava Avocado featuring fresh avocado and hibiscus salt rim.

Our year of Disney drinking has taught us valuable lessons about our preferences too. Aaron gravitates toward sophisticated sipping cocktails where you can truly taste the quality spirits, while Christy discovered her love for Disney's creative martinis - noting they've yet to make a bad one. Whether you're planning your next Disney vacation or just looking for mixology inspiration, our anniversary episode offers the perfect blend of nostalgia, honest reviews, and tropical rum enjoyment.

Have a Disney drink you think we should feature? Send us your suggestions - we'll do the research and drink it for you! Cheers to many more years of Disney cocktail adventures!

Here's who we are and what is in store for you

Speaker 2 (00:18):
This is our fifty-second time sitting down
drinking together With mics inour face.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
With mics in our face , yes, okay drinking together
with mics in our face, with ourmics in our face.
Yes, okay, today we're going torevisit a classic from our
first ever episode.
Yeah, the lapu.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I thought that was appropriate.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
It is very appropriate.
Yeah, I haven't had a drink ofit yet.
You haven't, no, I.
We didn't do our normal cheersout there oh, I'm sorry, we
didn't, so I just so this is ourritual every time we make a
drink out in my kitchen, we wesay cheers, cheers and we have a
sip.
So I'm going to do that rightnow.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
So normally we would be clinking glasses, we're
clinking pineapples.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yes, because we're revisiting the Lapu Lapu from
Tambu Lounge.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Tambu Lounge.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Resort.
Yes See, I don't mess up Tambu,I mess up Polynesian.
Polynesian and the Lapu.
Lapu has planetary originaldark rum, or jit, which is an
almond syrup, and tropical fruitjuices served in a fresh
pineapple topped with Gosling's151 proof black seal rum $21,

(01:17):
worth every cent, it is.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
And served in a pineapple.
Served in a pineapple.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah.
I mean come on, they get fancystuff at the Tambu Lounge
because the back scratcheranother drink we had it comes
with a back scratcher.
I've never had.
Let's look at other drinks onhere.
I've never had a pineapple mule.
I don't know if you get to takea mule home or what.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
They bring you a whole mule, a whole mule you
take home.
Hello, sir, right, you get theburro.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Right, I mean, come on, this is great.
So, yeah, great drink.
As always, we made it close, orwe always make this one close,
right?
Do we make it exactly the same?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yes, the only difference was we used Captain
Morgan Spice Rum because that'swhat we had, so good.
Oh yeah, this one's tasty.
Yes, it's smooth and the thingis, and it's going to be hard to
let it sit, but it absorbs allthose juices, extra pineapple
juices Okay, I'll work on thatOut of the pineapple, what's

(02:15):
left, and then there's a puddleof pineapple juice down at the
bottom.
Anyway, yeah, thanks forreminding me.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I'll take a break here.
So, yeah, we'll visit our sofar, our 52nd episode.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
we're doing something special today we're gonna talk
about the drinks, the, the 52drinks that we've had.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Wow, yeah, it's a lot , it's a lot, it's a lot, and so
we'll see how close.
I'm very curious to see wehaven't talked about what our
top bottoms are at all.
No, we'll see how close we came.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
We just decided what, what?
We top five, bottom five, andthen some individual categories,
yes, but one of the things, all50, well, 52 drinks, two of
them not on the menu.
We did the cantarito, which wasfor disney forward, right, you
know, or latin land, what wewould do with with disney

(03:03):
forward.
And then, after the apocalypse,we did a churro martini, which
we completely made that one up,which was quite good.
I know, yeah, I got to say, oh,that should.
Well, we'll do that.
I didn't do that one.
But category of drinks.
So we'll get to that at the end.
I've got it in my mind oh, doyou?
Okay, we'll get to that at theend.

(03:23):
I've got it in my mind oh, doyou Okay?
Of like a category, favoritecategory of drinks.
Okay, of what we've tried, okay, yeah, we can do that, but
we're going to start with topfive.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
So top five, top five and I didn't put these in order
Cause I don't think it's fairto the order.
No, we've tried.
I had a really hard time withboth of these myself.
I had a top two or three andthen I like a lot of drinks that
tie, yes, for four and five, but so I just chose the top five
and I tried to add.

(03:52):
I tried to add differentflavors, I did too, and not just
have all like fruity drinks orall martinis or all fashions
right, yeah, so I tried to dothat.
Should we just start with thecouple?
We're good, I know two aregoing to be exactly the same,
maybe three.
I bet I could pick three onyour list right off the bat
probably ottawa apple.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Ottawa apple best drink, best drink and that, I
think, is the best drink period.
If there was a number one, Ithink that's it.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah, I saw a person reviewing drinks today, when I
was trying to figure out what mybottom five drinks were, I
revisited some things I lookedat before and he said the Ottawa
Apple just tasted like aregular apple.
There was nothing special aboutit.
Wholeheartedly disagree withhim.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
No, it's a good one, yeah, it's a good one.
So another one on top five.
This one we're drinking todayMine too.
Yes, lapu, lapu.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
It's a great drink.
I've never had this at thepolynesian, neither have I.
I know strange strange to saybecause we've had the ottawa
apple is a must-do.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
It's, it's right up there with a must-do ride,
because if you go to the tambulounge you have to go after.
I don't think it opens to likethree in the afternoon and I've
never been over there at threeo'clock, right on a like a
resort hopping day Right, I wasthere one time and didn't get it
because everyone had one aroundme and we already had it for

(05:11):
our episode.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah, I want to try something I've never tasted at
all.
That's when I had the backscratcher.
Back scratcher yes, Right.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
So next one that I had on here was the cold brew
martini.
It's not on my top five.
It made top five.
I really enjoyed that.
One Good one yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Good one, I love it, love it, just didn't make my top
five.
My next one is the Swing.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Shift.
You know I saw that one and itdidn't stick out in my mind.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
It's an old-fashioned drink made with like an orange
slice and, man, I forgot exactlywhat the ingredients.
I don't have the ingredientswhere the?
I just I listened to the firstfew minutes of every episode and
reminisced and then picked whatI like the swing shift we both
loved.
Yeah, and it was a surprisingtwist on old fashion yes, and I
remember I liked that one.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
There was another one that I really liked a drop in,
if you dare, because I was waslooking at the Magic Key Terrace
, as I want to do to justrandomly scroll through the app
on occasion and I rememberreally liking that one, but I
can't remember the drink itselfand I had to remember the drink
itself, I remember the episodeitself, because that led to my

(06:25):
Magic Key purchase.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Yes, it did Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Thank you, christy.
Another one was cold brew,martini.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
What's your next one?
Then we have three, so far each.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
One auto apple lapu-lapu and cold brew martini
and I have swing shift and swingshift.
Okay, so what's your fourth, ornumber four?
I actually did, which will.
Last week's episode the dolewhip cocktail oh for me yeah, it
was.
Am I gonna put the dole whip inor am I putting the frozen
viking coffee?

Speaker 1 (06:56):
okay now, our frozen viking coffee was great, way
better than the parks way betterthan the park, because because
they make a big batch of it.
Yes, if they would have made ahandmade like we did, it would
be the same as ours.
Yeah, I really agree.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I really think that and theirs was more slushy.
It wasn't didn't taste like ithad ice cream in it, right it a
little more slushy consistency.
I went with the dole whipcocktail.
It's one I've had multipletimes and I I think that's why
I've made it just randomly on anevening with other people and

(07:31):
I've had it again, whereas the Ihaven't done that with the
viking coffee.
So that's why I went with thedole whip cocktail and it very.
I could imagine just sitting atlamplighter lounge si sipping
on one of those, looking outover the water.
Yeah good day.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Imagine it now.
So I'm going to agree with youthat I almost put the Dole Whip
in my top five.
The Dole Whip cocktail.
Yeah, it almost went in my topfive.
Instead I chose, ready for it,the frozen Viking coffee.
That's my next one.
It's good, I like it here.
I like it okay in the parks.

(08:08):
Yeah, I just wish they wouldn'tmake such a huge batch of it.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yeah, and have them sitting out.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
That's my only complaint Just sitting there on
a tray.
Sometimes you walk up If it'sbusy.
Yeah, you walk up and there's atray sitting by the register
where they just hand you a cup.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
And to me it was like it's not frozen 1a, 1b it the
both great traits right it's not, but frozen viking coffee, not
frozen no, it wasn't kind ofcold.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, not even free, not not cold, cold it was like
melted margarita consistency.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
yeah, okay, I kind of think we're gonna have the next
one, the same too.
I don't know Okay.
Let's see I went completelyleft field with this one.
Well, let's see if he did.
Top five drinks Angry, bloody,rancor.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I have the Angry, bloody Rancor.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
That's hilarious.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Really See it's ready right there Angry, bloody
Rancor.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Oh my gosh, I really like that one.
It's great.
I had never had a Bloody Marybefore, but that with the heat
and the spice, because I had itin the park and then I had it,
we made it.
I'm like we've got to have this, and even with the spicy
candied bacon in it that was agood drink.

(09:24):
Yeah, yeah, that's funny, so wehad one different yeah, five,
that's it, and it was really adecision on like and we we were
both contemplating no the one.
Well, we had two different ohyeah, I had the swing shift and
I had the cold brew martini.
Okay, bottom five drinks, bottom five the mint julep.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
I should have put that I didn't think of.
I forgot about the mint julep.
It just totally have put that Ididn't even think of them.
I forgot about the mint julep.
It just totally didn't cross mymind.
It was that bad.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
It was that bad.
Yeah, it was our only reallybad drink, right.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I have the other.
It's in my top bottom.
It's in my bottom five, forsure.
I just didn't time with these.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
I didn't, because I had ones that really stuck out
in my mind.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Mint julep does.
Maybe you'll come up with otherones.
I don't remember for reasons.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
And they might have been drinkable, but I never
really wanted to have one again.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Yeah, some of these I just don't remember, because
they weren't that great.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
So if you didn't have mint julep, what was one of
yours?
French rose, I actually havethat one as well.
That one, have that one as well.
That one I'm actually curiousto try in the park yes, at
topolino's terrace because itwas just so not great, it was
okay, it looked like it wasgoing to be really good and it

(10:36):
was like man, that's okay, and Iwas really disappointed in that
one.
So that was actually on my listas well.
A french rose, that?
That's funny, yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
So I'll go again I guess, go again, I guess.
The Pineapple Mule, really, no,I don't love the mules.
And it was just okay, it didn'tstand out.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I actually like that one Really.
I mean not top five, but I sothis was a little bit of a
different mule because it waspineapple juice and it had
bourbon and not vodka, right, soto me I actually kind of like
that one.
Hmm, yeah, it was not near mybottom five, Interesting.
Good, good there we go, nowwe're getting somewhere, now

(11:20):
we're disagreeing.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
We're not disagreeing where I'm mad at you.
No.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
We're not agreeing Right, we'll put it that way.
Okay, this one, I think, willbe on yours.
Okay, the Sunspot.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yes, Sunspot is on mine.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yes, definitely, and it was because it was too tart.
Yes, it was very tart.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Very this one.
I just don't like yeah, I don'tthink I would order in the park
.
I think it would taste aboutthe same.
Probably.
I think we did it justice.
It was just like what puckering.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
That's not what you want in a drink.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
That's a candy.
It was a lemon head, I think wesaid that too.
Yeah, it looks like they putlike Lemon.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah or nerds.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
What did we say?
We said something like thatyeah, we said some kind of candy
, they just threw in there.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Yeah, it tasted like that.
Okay, I think we're going toagree on one more of ours, maybe
, maybe, go ahead and you throwone more out there, okay, the?

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Berry Buckle.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Yep, that's it.
That one, the ginger.
I really wanted to like thatone.
I was so and I think that'spart of the problem.
Like the mint julep, I had noidea what I was walking into.
And the same with the Sunspot,I think, the berry buckle and
the French rose.
I had such high hopes lookingat those ingredient lists Muddle

(12:36):
, blackberry and everything butit had ginger beer and it was so
overpowering and it didn't gowell with any of the other
ingredients.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Right, because we don't pick out drinks that we
might not like.
Yeah, we don't just throw adrink out there saying, oh, this
could be OK.
We try to pick drinks we'regoing to like every week.
Yeah, right, and that's why welike so many of them.
It's because we really look atthe ingredients and how they
make them before we and that we,and that goes along with our

(13:04):
episode title.
Yeah, and we don't we don'tlook at.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Oh, that one looks like it'll suck right, let's try
that.
Yeah, that one's horrible, although we have we have done
some that.
I've looked and I thought, okay, that's gonna be weird, but I
have a feeling disney's gonna doit right, and they do, and they
do right.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
That's why we're okay , a lot right, like that.
That's be just beingadventurous, though.
Yeah, let's just take thatchance, right?
Not thinking it's going to suckbefore you start it, like I try
to look for a drink they madewith dill, because I hate dill
for a drink?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
I would never try.
They did that pickle milkshake.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Yeah, that sounds awful, yeah, right, but that's
not like something I wouldsuggest.
Oh, let's try this dill picklemilkshake to see if I like it.
And I hate dill, yeah Right, wewould never do that.
No, no, no, okay, so my lastones, it would be the mint julep
.
I mean seriously, my fifth onewould be the mint julep.
Oh, you didn't have another.

(13:56):
I do have another one, butgreen orchard.
Oh, because that's just simple,I don't love either beer, right
, or the cider, beer cider.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
We had and see those were okay.
The, the beer cocktail, or thebeer that I didn't like was the
jungle navigation.
Shandy, you didn't like that itwas.
It was just okay, also there are.
So widmer does a really goodshandy.
This one just missed the mark.
Well, because it had blue moonin it and that's with orange
right.
It gets served with orange, notwith lemon, and they should

(14:24):
have used like a half right andthe fact that they didn't it was
although.
Is blue moon a half or a wheatbeer, I think it's part of a.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
It's a wheat beer, I think, but it has a.
You put an orange in it insteadof a lemon.
Yeah, like you would if you hada wind mirror right.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Either way, it was.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, they could have done so much better with that
one I didn't remember that oneas well enough to I kind of
forgot about that.
Yeah, the names I love I.
I love the name of it and Ikind of skipped by it because I
still like the name and it stuckout in my mind because I really
like shandy's uh-huh and thatwas really disappointing.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
I remember how disappointed.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
You were now that you said that.
That we tried it and you reallywanted to have a Shandy.
You suggested the Shandybecause I don't think I've ever
had a Shandy, so I have nothingto compare it to and I think it
had.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Oh, that's right.
We did that with theFrontierland episode, right, and
so it was Jungle.
Skipper Canteen, that was ouronly option for a drink Right.
Skipper canteen, that was ouronly option for a drink Right.
It was in the skipper canteen.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Have we done all the lands?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
No, we need to revisit some lands.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Do a Fantasyland episode.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
We did Adventureland.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Frontierland.
We should revisit that.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Yeah, we got some more lands to visit.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
See, this is the inner workings.
You're seeing behind the scenesstuff, guys.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
You're hearing behind the scenes.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Cheers to ears right now, you're not even having to
pay for it.
No, this is crazy.
Yeah, right, wow, you guys arelucky.
Okay.
So next we went with twoquestions that you oh you have
more to say on the.
Well, we had bottom five no, no, no.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
So we had five different more drinks, five
categories right.
Drinks, five categories Rightwe had more categories.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Next one was another categories, but we differed on
the first two things we'retalking about here, on how we
did it.
Yes, yes, yes, that's what Iwas gonna say, and these, none
of my top five or bottom five.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
I went with a different drink even though
probably that one of the topfive drinks could have fit into
these categories.
Right, but I went withdifferent drinks, Right and so
these first two things.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
We did this.
We came up with these ideaswhile I was at Disneyland yes,
Yesterday.
So we didn't actually talkabout exactly how we're going to
do it.
So you did these next two.
The least likely to try andmost want to try, you went with
drinks.
We've already tried that youwant and you are.
You're never going to try inthe park or are going to try in

(16:48):
the park, correct?

Speaker 2 (16:49):
so drink I most want to try at the park, and that was
one I haven't tried yet and wehaven't done.
And then I did favorite drinkI'm least likely to order in the
park that you've already triedthat we've done.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
So I did my least favorite drink.
I just looked at.
I searched drinks like crazytoday.
Okay, To find one.
I never try and I don't want toever have.
There's probably a lot on thatlist.
I found one really good one.
I think Okay, what was it?
It is the Welsh Dragon.
Where do you find that?
You find that at Rosencrown inEpcot.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Okay, Let me tell you about this drink.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yes, it's made.
It's $15.50, which is dizzycheap.
Dizzy cheap yeah For a beverageand it comes with a lot of
stuff, a lot of ingredientsPeach, schnapps.
Imagine these things togetherPeach schnapps, okay, melon
liqueur, creme de menthe, orangejuice and pineapple juice.
It's two, four, five sweetthings in a glass.

(17:46):
It sounds like it's just, Iknow, and it's just minty
pineapple-y, orange-y sweet andpeach and melon, such different
flavors.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Well see, everything seems to go.
Actually, four of those werepretty similar to a drink.
What was it we just had withthe peach schnapps in it?

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, but it has something else to calm it down,
crandamint.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah, oh, that's to me sounds disgusting, so many
things.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
It just looks disgusting too.
It's a bright green, like greenslime from Nickelodeon color.
Oh ew In a big old hurricaneglass.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Oh, that just sounds gross, it just didn't look good.
No, so that's the drink I'mleast likely to ever try in the
parks, minty melon Actually, mint would probably go with the
melon better than any, betterthan the peach but not the
orange.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, I don't know.
Or the peach Sounds weird, yeah, that sounds't know, or the
peach Sounds weird.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Yeah yeah, that sounds like a car wreck.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Way to go, Disney.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
So you're least likely to try.
Oh sorry.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Go ahead, England Pavilion.
They're probably making up forbland food or something.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Maybe it tastes good with some bangers of mash.
Yeah, mash, yeah, I don't knowwe're with the fish and chips or
something.
I would just screw up your fishand chips it would.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
You'd be all delicious fish and chips and
you're like, holy crap, you'reall happy eating your fish and
chips and you take a drink ofthat it was this ectoplasm thing
.

Speaker 2 (19:12):
It's like I'm glad we beat you in the revolutionary
war this is why we won.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
You deserved it for making your troops a welsh
dragon, but we're drinking niceales over here in America,
hoorah.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
So favorite drink I'm least likely to drink or to
order in the park is the coldbrew martini.
I don't think I'd ever try acold brew martini in the park
because they're easy to make.
Oh, that's their reason, yeah, and there's so many other things
I'd want to try.
Like I don't know To me now, maybe if I were like at the

(19:50):
Abracadabra and I'm at a bar andI'm just sitting there and I
want to have a drink, I might dothat.
But a cold brew martini justdoesn't seem like it'd go well
with food, unless maybe, dessert.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Yeah, you're right.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
I don't see myself ever ordering a cold brew
martini at the parks, eventhough I think they're a great
drink.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yeah, that's fair, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
So drink you most want to try.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Yes, here's the one I most want to try.
I want to do this for anepisode so bad Haven't figured
out how to do it.
I've to do this for an episodeso bad haven't figured out how
to do it.
I've looked on amazon to buythe mugs to make the drinks.
You have to have the certainmug to make the drink, even to
try to make it, so we can makeit.
It's called the uh ow, okayfrom trader sam, or yeah, trader
sam's at disneyland right, yeahand it's.

(20:38):
I'm gonna read this.
I'm gonna read the ingredients.
Okay, I I cut them on my phonebecause I don't want to write
all these down.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Bacardi superior rum.
Meyers, original dark rumjuices of orange, passion fruit,
guava, pineapple and grapefruit.
Falernum, Falernum, Falernum.
Got my glasses on.
That's actually a glasses thing.
That wasn't just memispronouncing, just be

(21:04):
mispronouncing.
Like usual, cinnamon and freshlime juice it's made in a tiki
mug with like four thoseingredients again okay, bacardi
superior rum.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Okay, you're saying we have most of them.
We have that.
Well, we have meyer's originaldark rum.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Yeah, we have dark rum you orange, orange pineapple
or orange passion fruit, guavapineapple and grapefruit juice,
so it's pog juice plusgrapefruit juice.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Calornum, we have that Cinnamon and fresh lime
juice.
So we have a little we can getcinnamon.
I mean that's you have to havethe mug Pineapple juice.
It just doesn't work without.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
So you put the cinnamon on the sides of the mug
.
You light the middle on fire.
You put most of the drinks inthere.
You pour the 151 over, youlight the 151 on fire.
You throw the cinnamon at thefire right, oh, yeah, okay, and
you chant, there's something youchant like ugga, ugga, oh, waka

(21:52):
, waka, wow something like that, right okay and you chant and
then I don't know if you turnthe lights off or they
automatically go off with doingthe chant, if you do the chant
right, I think, I think it justhappens with the tiki gods.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Okay, yeah, I think yeah, they're very good with
light switches.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Yes, I mean I didn't listen to, I don't remember all
the words the president unitedstates america song tiki god.
I mean I don't remember all thewords to the President of the
United States of.
America song Tiki God.
But it might have saidsomething about at Disney,
throwing a cinnamon in there,maybe.
But you throw the cinnamon inand it sparks up and lights turn
on and off and then you enjoythe drink.
You splash it down in there.
Okay, yeah, we're going to haveto try that.

(22:27):
We need to try it.
We need to each buy a mug.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I think we should just each order.
Do we need?

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Tiki mugs yeah, they're special.
There's all sorts of ones.
You can buy them at Disneyland.
Yeah, there's like 10 editions.
They come out like every year, okay, and you can buy one.
You can buy them on Amazon orEtsy or whatever, also right, or
eBay.
Okay, we can find them, becausemy only problem with buying
stuff like that at Disney is Igot to get it home, yeah.

(22:51):
Right, I have such a I pack sotight, like the trip I just took
, I took only a personal item.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, on.
The plane.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
It was a two-day trip and I stuffed my personal item
so I did all the Disney 70sstuff there and I wanted to buy
all of it.
Yeah, and luckily for me, youjust got a hat right and yeah
you're welcome, christy.
Yeah, no, I would have gotyelled at more if I right.
Yeah, if I'd done that.
So that's my drink I most wantto try, okay, in the parks.

(23:18):
So so that's that's the onlything we differ.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Oh, you have one you most want to yeah, right, and
I've been trying to figure outhow to do this for quite some
time as an episode, and I don'tknow, maybe if we watch Coco and
do something, I can watch Coco.
But the La Cava Avocado, yes, you've been talking about that
for a while and I've been thereprobably three, four days at and

(23:45):
I still haven't tried it.
It's available at La Haciendade San Angel in the Mexico
Pavilion.
Let me scroll down and do itagain.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
You like to say these things because you pronounce
words better than me.
You're just mocking me now, soLa.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Cava, avocado, trombola Blanco, tequila, melon,
orange, liqueur, fresh Avocado, lime Juice and a Hibiscus Salt
Ramp for $19.
We would like that, yeah, and Ithink it might scare some
people away because of theavocado which I get, but I've

(24:23):
just always wanted to try itbecause everybody I watch on
YouTube raves about it.
So, yeah, that's the one Ireally have been wanting to try
there at the parks.
Okay, so we have three moremost surprising drink for you
most.
My most surprising drink was thesignature breezy marg that was
very surprising and that was avery good marg.

(24:44):
Yeah, margarita, for those youknow, unsophisticated like us
yeah.
So yes, that was a good one,and we have all the fixings for
that too, if we ever want to dothat again.
I think that sounds good tooyeah.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
so guess what we're doing tonight, folks Revisiting
all of these 52 drink night.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Drinking around, disney Drinking around, cheers
to ears.
Oh, there's a challenge.
So my most surprising drink wasthe PB&J cocktail from the
TuneIn Lounge and I thought thatwas going to be very weird.
It had what was was it themonkey something peanut butter,

(25:36):
and I actually didn't pull thisone up.
But it had the blackberry rightliqueur.
It had peanut butter, yeah, whiskey, and what's the episode
for that?

Speaker 1 (25:48):
what did we talk about?
Because I don't, I don't, Idon't remember what we, just how
we decided oh, that was thekurt russell.
Okay, because of he was a kid.
He was a kid.
There's where we did it right.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Yes, and I just thought it was going to be
really weird and it soundedweird.
It was a.
It was a good drink.
Now I don't know if I'll ever Idon't think I'll ever make one
again, or if I'll ever like I.
I don't know if I'd order it.
Right.
If I go back, like if I go backto tune in lounge, I'll
probably just order anotherloaded schaffer hoffer, right,
which we did that and I enjoyedthat one a lot.

(26:20):
But it was surprising to me,right.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
I thought that was going to be terrible so on, that
I'm going to show you my paperagain in a second.
Okay, because when I first, before I left to go to
california, I thought I'll tryto get.
I'll try and knock out as muchas episode as I can okay,
because all we had we taughtfive.
Bottom five is our only forsure things we had at the time
yeah, before I left, right.
Yeah, so I.

(26:43):
I just looked down the list yousent me of all the drinks we've
tried and I wrote here on mythird one.
You can see it's crossed outPB&J cocktail on my bottom five.
Really, because I looked at thedrinks and thought I couldn't
have liked that.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
That sounds awful.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
I don't remember.
I don't totally remember itexactly.
I couldn't have liked it,though, so I wrote it down, and
then, today at the airport, andwhen I got home, I listened to
like the first five minutes ofall of our episodes to see how
we thought of the drinks and westarted talking about it.
We're like, holy crap, this isgreat.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
That was one when I did the Instagram reel.
It was one of our most watchedreels.
Really Right around Christmastime that one blew up and it was
the one.
I actually was pouring it fromthe shaker over the.
We had either the big block iceor something like that and I
was pouring it and that was partof the reel that I made.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Oh yeah, the old-fashioned ice.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Yeah, and so that's why it really sticks out in my
mind.
But it was again.
I thought we're doing thisbecause it fits with the theme,
but this drink's going to suckand it didn't.
It did not?
Disney surprised.
So what's your best?
Martini?
So cold brew martini is upthere, but I think our

(28:00):
concoction, the churro martini, the only way it could have been
better is and I think we didveil vodka and churro baileys,
yes, and then, as if we had asmall piece of churro, like you
know how they'll do the olive, but a piece of churro in there
sounds great and just soaking itin there and eating the churro

(28:20):
yeah, piece out of the yeah, sothat I think was my best martini
I just had four churros in thelast two days and I don't eat
that many.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
I usually have one per trip.
Okay, usually that's because,or what?
Yeah, I usually have one thelast day I leave.
I have a ritual right, okay butthis time I got to the park and
I wanted to try the friedchicken which we talked about,
which I did finally I don't haveto say bad words at you, no but
I tried.
The before I tried I wasstarving when I got there and I

(28:49):
got to the park before pl Innwas serving lunch, where they
still had character diving goingon by the time I got to the
park.
So I grabbed a churro to tideme over.
That's a good snack I can have.
Won't get anything else.
I'll just tide myself over, andthen I'll still eat the chicken
, because my usual thing isalways go find the first food I
can find.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
And then I'm not hungry.
And I food I could find, andthen I'm not hungry and I don't
try what I want to try.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
I do that a lot.
Go get a flop over yeah orsomething stupid from that place
in in tomorrowland accidentjust because I'm there yeah,
yeah, yeah I just don't want tosay its name, just like I don't
talk about that park up north.
yeah, glad to grow is horrible, except for they have those magic
key sliders.
Oh, that look kind ofinteresting and I'm going to try
them.
If we go in September, if theystill have them, I'll try them.

(29:35):
Yeah, we will try them.
Good, martini Churro.
Martini is good that was a goodone.
My best, my number one, martiniwas the cold brew.
Martini, was it.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
See now, I would have thought you would have gone
with the grapefruit cake, martini, I thought about it.
I like I said I wasn't.
I think I said in one of theepisodes I'm not a martini guy.
Yeah, I'm a total martini guy.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
I like all our martinis pretty much you, and I
think it was because you were, that was probably for surprising
drinks.
I think you were really down onthat one and it kind of it
surprised you because you weregushing about that one.
Yeah, and rightly so.
It was a great martini but andso I thought that would be the
one that you would have goneyeah, this one, I just, I just

(30:17):
the breezy marg, I didn't thinkwould be any good either.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
It just doesn't sound like something would be good.
Yeah, so it's totally shockedme.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
We've avoided margaritas as a whole.
Right, we?
We just haven't, really.
We've done one, uh-huh, 52'vedone one.
We should probably do more.
Yeah, just to mix it up.
Okay, we have one more category.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Okay, and that's best fruity drink.
I went back and forth on thisone.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
For me it was Lapu Lapu.
As far as it was Lapu Lapu, butbecause I wasn't picking from
that list.
Well, you're right.

Speaker 1 (30:50):
Lapu-Lapu is the best fruity drink.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I went with the and okay, full disclosure the fruity
drinks, and that's why wehaven't done some in a while.
They've all been tasting thesame to me Now.
The one that we just did withthe schnapps was a little peach
schnapps, but I think theHippopotamite was my best fruity
drink.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
I wrote down backscratcher to start.
Then I really thought about itand I scratched off the
backscratcher and I chosehippopotamite.
So I've had both these in theparks but I had multiple
hippopotamite.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Yeah, you have.
That's how.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
I talked, but the last one I had was a blah blah,
blah, a tie-tie at theDisneyland Hotel, atland hotel,
uh-huh, at trader sam's.
Well, actually, on trader sam'sthe, the other one, the place
right next to it, yeah, which ishas the same drinks, yeah,
except for the ow which isn'tserved there, right, but the
hippopotamite tie was my.
I was my go-to drink atdizzleland hotel when we stayed

(31:48):
there.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I just love it.
Yeah, it's good drink.
I like the fruity drinks.
Oh, I do too.

Speaker 1 (31:54):
I think they all taste a little bit different,
and they do, and it's goodbecause we don't have to buy so
many ingredients and we make thesame drinks.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
We've already got all the ingredients.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
That's a key thing to the bottom line of cheers to
ears.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yes, to me it was like the best balanced it was.
It wasn't alcohol forward, itwasn't fruit forward or juice
forward.
It was a really good balance toeverything, and I think that
was a pretty boozy one too, itis I think it had like three
shots in it or something that'sme being roy to your walt on
what drink should we try.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
I'm saying let's use what we have, yes, and spread it
out.
And you're saying let's moveforward and try this drink no
one's ever heard of before.
These liquors we can only findin Central Asia.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Yeah, what was that?
I was looking for the Medinamixer that we did.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
I was looking for the tangerine liqueur and couldn't
find it, so we went with orangeliqueur.
I think that's when I want totry.
When I go in june is becauseI'll be.
Yeah, it's a good one day and ahalf at epcot and so I think I
might run by there.
I'm hoping I don't have to geta table at spice road table and
then I can get it to go.

(33:04):
But if I do, I'll just so.
You just want to go to spice?
road yeah, I just want to gospice Spice Road.
Yeah, I just want to go toSpice Road.
Forget the table.
So anyway, yeah, hippopotamite, yep, best fruity drink.
That's mine too.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
I like a lot of the fruity drinks though.
Yeah, I forgot what I was goingto say Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
So I came up with another category as I was
sitting here.
So category best category ofdrinks, wow so, best category of
drinks, wow so.
Category on categories.
So thinking, fruity drinks Okay, or martinis Okay, or let's go,
I'll just call them cocktails,so like sipping cocktails.

(33:46):
Oh that's a tough one for me,which would be all the old
fashions your swing shift.
Medina Mixer might fall intomore of that category.
The Coney Negroni we had itwould be a lot of those.
The French Rose might fall in,so as a whole, fruity drinks,
cocktails or martinis what hasbeen your favorite category, so

(34:11):
for?

Speaker 1 (34:12):
having on the podcast while we sit here.
Yes, right if I'm in the park,I'm probably getting a free
drink.
Yeah right, if I'm at the pool, probably getting a food free
drink.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah, right, right, yeah, these are, you have to
yeah there's, so there's so much.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
That says southern california and central florida,
with the fruity drink.
Yeah Right, absolutely.
But my favorite drinks over thepast couple years and I
actually put the Bartesianversion, the old-fashioned, on
my first draft of my top five.
Okay, so it's going to be, thesipping drinks is going to be my
favorite.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
The sipping drinks Okay.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I love a good where you can taste the liquor.
It's good liquor that you'reactually having like, just like
when I like.
I like my food where I cantaste the ingredients.
Yes, I don't want a bunch ofsauce covering my meat.
Yeah I want to taste the meatand how well it was cooked that
yeah same with my liquor I liketo taste the stuff that's in it.
That's, that's like good to me.

(35:07):
But I'm sitting by the pool ona 90 degree day and I was in the
park all day.
A nice, a nice back scratcheror whatever.
We talked about that drink wetalked about while we did the my
disney world recap last timethat I had a couple times at the
pool.
Those are my favorites.
So how about?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
you.
So I have to go with themartinis, because we have yet to
have a bad martini.
They've all, and granted, wehaven't had a lot, but they've
all been good.
So we've had the churro martini.
Yeah, I'm pulling up the listhere so that I I remember,
because there's one, there's onethat I'm kind of forgetting the

(35:46):
cold brew martini.
The grapefruit cake martinigood one, and there's another.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
We had cold brew is the grapefruit cake served at
boardwalk no, it's served at thebrown derby because they have.
That's right.
That's another place I want togo oh, blueberry lemon drop
martini.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
That was interesting and that was a good one, yeah,
so that was also kind ofsurprising, because that was
lemon vodka, and then I think weactually had real muddled
blueberries in it too.
We did.
Granted, we've only had fourdifferent martinis, but I think
that they've all been incredible, right, yeah, they've all been
really good.
So martinis have been myfavorite category of drink that

(36:29):
we've had so far.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Perfect, yeah, and in the respect of fruity, then we
obviously have more fruitydrinks and we're going to have
more fruity drinks.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
We are.

Speaker 1 (36:38):
It's going to happen.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
It's inevitable.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Still love the Lapu Lapu, still your thing, mm-hmm,
mm-hmm, just drinking as we talk.
So, yeah, what do you think?
What's your favorite category?
Favorite category of drink?
And?
And is there a drink you thinkwe should try on the show?

Speaker 2 (36:57):
yeah, have we missed anything?

Speaker 1 (36:58):
yeah, tell us, tell us something you would and don't
send.
We get.
We get some stupid emails aboutlike what was it?

Speaker 2 (37:05):
the 151 and no, it was like a brass monkey.
Yeah, mad dog.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
2020 that kind of stuff we don't want to hear,
like boone's farm in 1980 rightthat kind of stuff.
We don't want to hear that kindof stuff.
Just, I mean we can send usanything you want.
Yeah, I mean we'll read them, but we won't respond yeah to
that.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
So send us a text and tell us a drink we should try
right, or, or a type of drink,or I love a martini Right.
Tell us where to find it,because it's hard to find a
drink at what bar or restaurantit's at.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Or the opposite, Just if you had a drink you don't
even know.
I had this one fruity drinkthat had this stuff in it, and
we'll try to find it.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
We'll do that legwork for you and we'll drink it, and
we'll drink it.
All right, we'll take that.
We'll take that for you, wewill.
So yeah, so thank you forlistening to our 52nd episode,
aaron.
We've done this a year, oneyear down, and we're still going
strong.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Many years to go, many years, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
So, cheers.
